Chapter 265 The Tata Clan

A faint light appeared on the horizon, the clouds dispersed, the sun rose, and its warm, damp light shone on my face, making it itch.

Zhao Xiaoxiu reached out and scratched her face. After a moment, she suddenly opened her eyes. There was nothing in front of her except for the burnt-out pile of firewood and fish bones.

"Daddy!" the little guy called out, looking up as if afraid that what he had seen yesterday was all a dream.

Soon, a deep voice echoed in my mind: "[Behind]."

Zhao Xiaoxiu finally breathed a sigh of relief and stood up to look behind her.

Instead of the mountain-like black and red tentacles, I saw a large black fleshy egg floating in mid-air.

Zhao Xiaoxiu was startled and tentatively called out, "Dad?"

A response came through her mind, and Zhao Xiaoxiu asked in confusion, "Dad, what happened to you?"

Hearing the noise, Sister Monkey woke up groggily from the ground. When she looked up, she saw the cub standing in front of a strangely floating black egg. She was immediately startled and quickly reached out to hug the cub to her arms.

"Squeak!" What kind of mutant is this?! Sister Monkey bared her teeth, looking fierce.

Zhao Xiaoxiu quickly patted Monkey Sister's tense arm and explained, "It's Dad, not a mutant."

dad?

Sister Monkey scratched her head, not understanding how the tentacle could turn into a fleshy egg.

Zhao Xiaoxiu was also confused. "Dad, what's going on?"

[Become human.]

As always, he was concise and to the point. Zhao Xiaoxiu's eyes widened in disbelief. Could this meat egg really turn into a person?

It seems like things are really changing!

With a soft "crack," Zhao Xiaoxiu clearly saw a distinct crack appear on the black meat egg.

Immediately afterwards, the crack spread rapidly in all directions. In less than half a minute, the entire black egg was covered with spiderweb-like marks, and a faint pink flesh color could be seen showing through it.

A semi-transparent viscous liquid flowed out from the crack, and more and more of it flowed out, soon gathering into a puddle below the black egg.

With a "whoosh," a large clump of pink flesh fell from the black egg, covered with a layer of white membrane.

Something that looked like a hand suddenly pushed open the white membrane, revealing the back of a curled-up adult human.

He squatted on the ground for a while, then slowly stood up. His newborn body was smooth and white, with evenly distributed muscles, just like a perfect human sculpture.

His short, wet black hair clung to his scalp, revealing a full head and a face as well-proportioned as if it were modeled.

She seemed not yet used to those perfect, long legs; when she took a step and turned around, her legs trembled.

But soon, he learned to control this human body, kicking, raising his hands, twisting his neck, becoming more and more agile.

Zhao Xiaoxiu and Sister Monkey were deeply shocked when they saw the human male in front of them, whose figure and facial features were so perfect that they could not find a single flaw.

The baby and the monkey spoke in unison, tentatively asking, "Dad?" Squeak?

The perfect man smiled and nodded憨憨地: "Xiaoxiu, Daddy got a new body, what do you think?"

Zhao Xiaoxiu stepped forward, took off her coat, wrapped it around her father's waist, chuckled, and reminded him:

"Dad's new body looks super cool, but don't forget to wear clothes!"

As if he had just remembered this, Zhao Gang gave his daughter an apologetic smile. Two thin, blood-red tentacles emerged from behind him, and he immediately pulled up his coat on the left and right, tying it tightly around his waist.

Zhao Gang picked up his daughter so she could see her new face clearly.

He added anxiously, "Watch it several times, don't mistake your father for someone else."

Zhao Xiaoxiu touched his face, then tugged at his hair and ears, and said very seriously, "I won't mistake you. I can recognize Dad no matter what he looks like."

Although they had only been separated for a month, the father and daughter felt as if they had been apart for a century. Their big heads were pressed together, their eyes gazing at each other, and they could only chuckle foolishly.

After laughing enough, Zhao Xiaoxiu slapped her forehead and remembered to ask her father what had happened.

"Dad, what are you? Why are you so big? Did you always look like you did yesterday? How did you become human?"

The little guy has so many questions, he can't possibly ask them all at once.

Zhao Gang maintained a smile throughout, patiently waiting for the cub to finish asking all its questions before gesturing for Sister Monkey to pack up and follow. He answered her questions as he carried his daughter forward:

"What you saw yesterday was just a small section of one of Dad's tentacles. We Tatas have no fixed abode. When we are hungry, we search for food in the universe. When we are full, we find a place to sleep and wait for the next hunger to come."

"The Tata race can extend to almost the size of a sun... In order to avoid natural enemies and reproduce, our greatest strengths are splitting and imitation; becoming human or anything else is instinctive."

"Dad likes to eat his fill and then find the next planet to store food, then sleep on the new planet, and when he wakes up he can eat again."

"From now on, Xiaoxiu should do the same so that she won't wake up hungry and starve to death if she can't find food for a long time."

Hearing this, Zhao Xiaoxiu's heart skipped a beat. According to her father, wasn't the planet she was on dangerous?

Seeing the cub's shocked expression, Zhao Gang patted her head and said, "Don't be afraid. Daddy just woke up and isn't hungry yet. We still have time to find the next planet."

“You are still too weak to leave this planet and survive in outer space. Dad will wait until you grow strong enough before you leave this planet to find new food.”

At this point, Zhao Gang noticed the cub's messy hair, its patchy skin, and its noticeably thinner body. He lowered his head and gently pressed his face against the cub's.

Those black eyes, exactly like those of a human, held both heartache and pride.

His cub is really brave.

"Ouch, Daddy, your hair is so tight!" Zhao Xiaoxiu struggled to turn her head away, pushing her father's head away with her little hands. Her face turned red from the effort.

She dodged, but Zhao Gang moved forward a little more. The father and daughter played and laughed for a while, and before they knew it, they had arrived in the town.

A woman's shout interrupted the father and daughter.

"Would you like a set of designer clothes I just got from the mall, sir?" the stall owner asked with a warm smile.

She stared at Zhao Gang's completely exposed upper body for several moments before reluctantly looking away under the child's innocent gaze.

"Little one, where's your mother?" the stall owner asked curiously.

Zhao Xiaoxiu smiled but didn't say anything. The stall owner didn't mind and went to ask Zhao Gang where the child's mother was.

Zhao Gang ignored the stall owner's voice, holding the child in one arm and quickly selecting clothes that fit both himself and the cub with the other, coldly asking, "How many points in total?"

Making money is more important. There are plenty of handsome men out there. The stall owner put his mind at ease, tapped on his calculator, and gave a number.

Zhao Xiaoxiu swiped her card, and Zhao Gang immediately put on his clothes. He then led the monkey sister, who was dressed in human clothes, toward the supply station, intending to exchange for some cold-weather protection supplies.

Winter is coming, and we need to find a new territory to settle down in.
