Chapter 93 Fish Farming

The macaque instinctively ran backward.

After running a step, she suddenly remembered that the cub was still there, so she turned back, scooped her up, and they escaped together.

Zhao Xiaoxiu paused for a second, then, realizing what was happening, giggled without a care in the world.

The macaque, who had already rushed out of the house, belatedly realized what was happening. It glanced at the blood tentacles that were flying in front of it at a distance of about one meter, and looked in the direction the blood tentacles were extending. It saw Zhao Gang unloading goods on the truck.

It stared wide-eyed in surprise; it turned out the cub's father wasn't human either!

Looking down at Zhao Xiaoxiu, who was giggling in his arms, the macaque got angry. It lifted her up in front of its eyes, raised its paw symbolically, and then gently slapped her bottom twice.

That cub is so naughty! It didn't even warn itself!

These two painless slaps made Zhao Xiaoxiu even happier. She stuck out her tongue at the macaque, made a face, broke free, and ran back to the kitchen.

The macaque reluctantly followed.

Three large, fat fish, each about the width of a palm, were struggling violently on the ground, displaying remarkable resilience.

Zhao Xiaoxiu glanced over and saw that the fish was glowing with a B-grade mutated yellow light.

No one would eat this kind of fish, nor would they dare to.

Zhao Xiaoxiu couldn't eat it either, because her senses told her that the fish tasted terrible.

Macaques are omnivores, their main diet consists of various plants and fruits, but they also eat meat. They thought these fish were good food and caught them to share with Zhao Xiaoxiu.

In the past, at Yungu Temple, it would capture mutants for Shanyuan's daughter, and Shanyuan would praise it for being capable and useful, allowing it to continue staying at the temple.

Zhao Xiaoxiu sensed its expectation and subconscious unease in trying to please it, and suddenly felt a little uncomfortable.

She touched its still-wet fur, pointed to the stove hole, and gestured for it to go over and warm itself by the fire.

Although we don't know if evolved animals can catch colds, wet fur must be uncomfortable.

The macaque obediently squatted down and watched as Zhao Xiaoxiu directed Blood Touch to pick up the three fish and cover them with a bucket full of water. Feeling reassured that she had taken back her things, it squinted its eyes and squatted by the stove to warm itself by the fire.

After unloading the goods, Zhao Gang walked into his house and unleashed more than a dozen tentacles, which then began to work simultaneously.

They quickly laid out the clean sheets and blankets that Sheng Qingyang had washed, tidied up the tool room, took a shower in the bathroom, and then washed the father and daughter's dirty clothes and took them to the second-floor balcony to dry.

All of this took less than twenty minutes in total.

The macaques, who had been drowsy from the warm fire, suddenly saw this scene, and their fur stood on end, their eyes filled with horror.

The baby's father looks terrifying!

Zhao Xiaoxiu felt sleepy and yawned repeatedly. Rubbing her eyes, she said to the terrified Monkey Sister, "You'll get used to it, you'll get used to it, hehe~"

Seeing the cub's numb smile, the macaque nods its head listlessly; it will try to get used to it.

Zhao Xiaoxiu couldn't hold on any longer and prepared to go upstairs to sleep.

Monkey Sister refused to go upstairs with her, pointed to the greenhouse outside the kitchen, and seeing that Zhao Xiaoxiu did not object, she moved into the greenhouse.

Zhao Xiaoxiu then realized that this was no ordinary macaque; it was a macaque that knew how to grow vegetables.

She shrugged and smiled, "Sister Monkey will definitely be a great help to them in farming!"

When Zhao Xiaoxiu got home at 10 p.m., she had to take a shower and make the bed before finally getting into bed in the early hours of the morning.

She hadn't had a proper night's sleep in the past two weeks while on a mission with the main force. Now, lying in her soft quilt, listening to the babbling water outside, she quickly drifted off to sleep.

She didn't know when her father finished his work and went to bed, or perhaps he hadn't slept all night.

When Zhao Xiaoxiu woke up from her sleep, she heard the sound of many people talking downstairs.

It sounded like he was haggling, but Zhao Gang refused three times in a row: "No selling, no exchanging, no points."

Immediately following was the sound of people carrying things upstairs.

A few lords who wanted to buy pipes and awnings from Zhao Gang remained, whispering amongst themselves, unwilling to give up, and continued to squat in front of the truck, enviously looking at the high-quality pipes and sunshades.

Zhao Xiaoxiu rubbed her eyes, stretched lazily in bed, and then scrambled out.

She had just crawled out of bed when she was enveloped by the cold morning air, which made her shiver.

Quickly put on your cotton-padded coat and trousers, thick socks, tuck the trouser legs into the socks, put on your shoes, get out of bed and go to the bathroom, stand on a stool and brush your teeth and wash your face by yourself.

The water was warm, and Zhao Xiaoxiu knew without guessing that her father had prepared it for her in advance. She was overjoyed, pouted at the little girl with messy hair in the mirror, and gave her a virtual kiss as if it were her father, making a heart shape with her hands, "biu!"

After washing up, Zhao Gang carried the awning materials past the stairwell and reminded the cub, "Remember to wear your hat, it's very cold today."

“Okay!” Zhao Xiaoxiu responded loudly.

I ran to the living room and found a red woolen hat on the sofa. I put it on myself, and I didn't even need to comb my hair. It was so warm.

"Dad, did you buy the hat?" Zhao Xiaoxiu asked curiously.

Zhao Gang came downstairs and replied, "Sheng Qingyang wove it; I gave her five meters of water pipe."

The lord at the gate, whoever had such sharp ears, overheard everything and immediately questioned Zhao Gang as soon as he came out of his house:

"Zhao Gang, didn't you say you wouldn't sell or exchange it? How come Sheng Qingyang is okay with it now?"

"Because my daughter Xiaoxiu needs a hat." Zhao Gang didn't even look up as he continued carrying the awning materials up to the roof.

The lords were momentarily speechless, but quickly realized that Zhao Gang's daughter was the key.

However, before they could figure out what they could offer Zhao Xiaoxiu in exchange for pipes and a canopy, Dongfang Ling arrived carrying a large bucket of low-level mutated fish fry.
