As soon as Zhang Jie agreed, the people on the other side started moving. One of them was incredibly fast, almost twice as fast as the others.
Shui Xian made the first move, facing the man head-on. When the two were only three steps apart, Shui Xian did a somersault and jumped, clearing over the 1.8-meter-tall man's head and causing his attack to miss.
Her target was the person behind her!
The people in front realized they had been tricked and wanted to go back to rescue their teammates, but Zhang Jie stopped them: "Your opponent is me."
Although Zhang Jie was surprised by Shui Xian's jumping ability, the battle-hardened veteran quickly took over the vacancy.
The two blades clashed, creating quite a few sparks.
After a round of looting, the entire team switched to machetes.
With a scream, Narcissus caught her opponent off guard and took down one of their arms first.
The remaining five people on the other side had already rushed over, and the bullfrog guy went to meet them.
He lived up to his reputation as a trained fighter, single-handedly resisting the two men's blades and even pushing them back. Dale was not to be outdone, directly striking back with her blade and sending the man flying a great distance, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
Hearing such a loud commotion, everyone took a moment to glance at the person who had flown away, and they now realized that even the youngest of them, Dale, was so strong!
The person injured by Narcissus had his right arm and was no longer a threat, so Narcissus skipped over him and moved on to the next person.
This time she was unlucky; the person she was facing was unusually strong, and the hand holding the knife was sore from the impact that it felt like it was about to split open.
She quickly stepped back, and before the man could catch up, she leaped and went to deal with another person.
"Dair, you come here."
As the narcissus landed, it shouted loudly to change opponents.
After defeating another person, Dale took two steps to avoid the attack from the other side and turned to deal with the person Narcissus had mentioned.
The remaining few wanted to give chase, but Narcissus's attack drew all their hatred away.
Dale felt her heart was about to jump out of her chest. This was the first time she had fought and killed so seriously, and the first time she had unleashed her full strength without any restraint.
The strong man was a formidable fighter with a single sword, though he might not be as strong as Dale, he was much more experienced.
Dai'er jogged forward, ready for a one-on-one duel, when Zhang Jie exclaimed in alarm, "Watch out!"
Zhang Jie was having a hard time getting close to the speedster, but the speedster immediately changed targets as soon as Dale got close.
The speed was too fast, and Dale could only passively block. Before she could exert any strength from her sword, her opponent immediately retreated and then changed parts of her body to continue attacking.
Zhang Jie ran over quickly. Dale was at a disadvantage against the speedster, but Dale's original opponent, the strengthster, blocked her way.
Under the relentless onslaught, Dale gradually became overwhelmed, and a thin layer of sweat appeared on her forehead.
What should she do...?
Due to her lack of practical experience, Dale quickly revealed her weaknesses.
The opponent, being faster, seized this opportunity and used all his strength to slash down with his sword.
At the critical moment, a strange beep sounded, and the next second, the speedster's knife was knocked away by the powerful force.
It was Losi; she made the first move.
The leader on the other side was dumbfounded when he saw the laser gun. How come he didn't know that there was such high technology in the hunting grounds!
You cheated!
The moment his voice rang out, the speedster was sliced in two by Dale.
Dale's hands trembled slightly. She had almost died just now and would never see her grandfather and brother again.
So the moment the speedster's knife was knocked away, she went all out and slashed at him almost instinctively. The force was so great that she cut the speedster in half at the waist, without leaving a trace of flesh attached.
The speedster plummeted to the ground, staring in horror at the young girl with bloodshot eyes before him. He had died just like that, at the hands of a mere child.
Blood gushed out from below his waist in large gulps. The flush on his face, which had been rising from the excitement of about to kill, gradually faded, and his face turned pale rapidly. His body temperature was about to drop to the same level as the ground. He knew that his life was about to end.
Despite his fear, he still managed to drag himself backward, half-body on his hands.
Dale was still somewhat disoriented. She didn't like such a bloody and violent way of killing; after all, she was still just a child.
This was the first time the opposing captain had ever been so flustered. In order to get into the safe zone, he had been killing people all the way through the third round of the competition, and there must have been at least a hundred people who died in front of him.
Perhaps because he hadn't met any real competition, he got cocky and dared to challenge a team from the top ten.
Especially when he saw that the gunman on the other side was a little girl, he felt confident. At such a young age, her marksmanship must be immature, and even if she wasn't mentally mature, she might not be able to bring herself to be ruthless.
His own gunman had been trained with guns since childhood, so killing was a piece of cake for him; he just needed to choose the right opportunity.
However, he was wrong, terribly wrong; the other party had no promises whatsoever. Just as he was about to warn his gunman to fire, he heard the sound he least wanted to hear.
Less than a second later, another beep sounded.
Losi made another move, this time targeting the opposing gunman.
A white laser beam shot out, striking the gunman squarely between the eyebrows. Before he could even press the trigger, he used his last ounce of strength to pull it down as his consciousness faded.
But the gun went astray and hit the unlucky guy whose arm had been slashed by the narcissus.
Since his injury, that person had been lingering outside the battle zone. He came to compete, not to die. As for his teammates, they were just strangers he had just met and not worth sacrificing his life for.
Who knew he would be so unlucky? The gun hit his carotid artery right in the neck, and no matter how hard he tried to stop it, he couldn't stop the gushing blood.
The opposing team's leader has lost three teammates in a row, and they have lost their advantage.
Before anyone else could react, he took off running, but a white light locked onto him.
The next second, the man collapsed to the ground, shot in the heart.
The remaining four people were caught between a rock and a hard place: whether to flee or not.
One quick-witted boy simply knelt down and begged for mercy, throwing the knife far away to show his sincerity.
"I was bewitched by them. I don't want the beads or the weapons, I just want to be spared!"
The other three, seeing this, followed suit and begged for mercy.
While everyone's attention was drawn to her, Narcissus had already quietly taken the gun from the opposing gunman.
When Zhang Jie realized what was happening, he saw the gun was already in Shui Xian's hands and regretted it terribly. Why didn't he think of it sooner?
Losi didn't care and left the lives of these four people to Narcissus and the other two.
She picked up the bag they had thrown at her from the ground. Countless people had died in the hunting grounds. It would be a lie to say that they didn't use guns; she had simply fired her gun first.
What is morality? I've never heard of anything more important than life.
Suddenly, Losi heard a strange joint sound, like a mouth opening and the soft flesh inside writhing, something poised to pounce.
