Chapter 172 Summoning
The oral order to summon Zhu Huaizhen was personally conveyed by the old eunuch beside Emperor Cheng of Chu.
When the old eunuch saw Zhu Huaizhen, he looked at him with a look as sticky as a leech.
"Princess Ronghua, His Majesty said that he would only summon you." The old eunuch laughed in a particularly obscene manner.
"Your Highness, why don't you find an excuse not to go?" Tu Mi pulled Zhu Huaizhen and whispered.
"Very good." Zhu Huaizhen smiled like a flower, his eyes moving.
So the old eunuch took Zhu Huaizhen away, and Tu Mi was extremely anxious.
Looking at Lou Li again, he seemed calm and went upstairs to the guest room to rest.
Tu Mi didn't know that Lou Li was a member of the demon clan, and thought that Lou Li was watching him die without helping him.
After much thought, Tu Mi decided to go to Bai Mansion to seek help from Princess Rongyang Zhu Huaishu.
Tu Mi knew that she was not very smart and was afraid of acting rashly, which was exactly what she needed Princess Rongyang's countermeasures.
Let’s talk about Zhu Huaizhen. When he stepped into the Jokhang Palace, the aroma of Buddhist incense hit his nose.
For example, the main ingredients of kyara incense are agarwood, sandalwood, kalanchoe, magnolia, cloves, camphor, and ambergris. First, wash and remove the dirt from the agarwood, dry it in the shade, and sprinkle it with ambergris solution three times. Then, dry it in the shade, roast it, and grind it into a fine powder. Next, grind the sandalwood, preferably the Indian sandalwood, into a fine powder. Use the male cloves of Caryophyllus caryophyllus, also into a fine powder. Next, mix the three incense powders according to the ratio that Yuwen Cheng discovered after much research. Next, take dried magnolia and kalanchoe flowers, grind them, and mix them into the incense powder. Finally, take an appropriate amount of camphor, grind it into a fine powder, and mix it with the previously prepared incense powder. When using, wrap it in a gauze bag, tighten the air vent, and place it in a closet. Alternatively, wrap it in a sachet and decorate it with jade. It can be hung in a meditation room for meditation and chanting.
Another example is Baohe incense, whose main ingredients are agarwood, sandalwood, ambergris, lilies, and honey. First, the agarwood is washed with spring water, dried in the shade, and then oven-dried, then ground into coarse grains. Next, the sandalwood is ground into a fine powder using Indian sandalwood. Next, the coarse and fine powders are mixed and placed among fresh lilies, pounded into a fragrant paste, and left in the shade until partially dry. An appropriate amount of honey is added, and the mixture is formed into incense cakes, which are then dried in the shade. Finally, the mixture is sprinkled with ambergris solution and baked to dry.
Another example is Dingwaixiang, whose main ingredients are agarwood, camphor, and dendrobium. First, the agarwood is shaved into small cubes and the camphor is ground into a fine powder. Next, the dendrobium is removed—the larger the better—and soaked in warm water. Using a stone mortar, it is pounded into a fragrant paste, and the sticky juice is filtered through gauze. The dendrobium, with the sticky juice removed, is then roasted and ground into a fine powder. This powder is then mixed with the agarwood and camphor, and pressed into an incense cone, which is typically burned.
Every kind of Buddhist incense should be harmonious and peaceful.
However, Zhu Huaizhen did not feel at peace, but only felt very irritated.
Could it be that there is something wrong with this Buddhist incense?
As he walked, Zhu Huaizhen heard the sound of gurgling spring water.
"Princess Ronghua, wait a moment." The old eunuch suddenly showed a mysterious smile.
After hearing this, Zhu Huaizhen understood instantly and couldn't help but frown.
It’s not impossible to have a daytime revelry.
However, if Emperor Chu Cheng and Concubine Miao wanted to summon her, they would have to change the time.
Haha, Emperor Chu Cheng and Concubine Miao obviously don’t have this awareness.
Zhu Huaizhen waited for an hour.
Seeing that there was no one around, she didn't care about her image and sat down on the bluestone slab.
The soft music floated into my ears from time to time, which seemed to relieve my irritability.
Could it be that there is something wrong with the incense, but rather that the feng shui of the Jokhang Palace is bad?
"Princess Ronghua, sorry for the long wait." This time it was the old nanny who spoke, but her tone was soft.
