Chapter 242 Asking for Forgiveness

The old lady looked at the crazy Bai Huan in front of her, just shook her head and sneered.

"The real evidence has already been handed over to the police. What you just tore up was just a fake letter. You don't think I'll give you another chance to access the evidence, do you?"

Bai Huan couldn't believe it and hurried to pick up the letter on the ground.

When I opened it, I found that although the letter paper had long been yellowed and wrinkled, and even had traces of insect bites, it was blank inside.

Her face instantly became like a piece of letter paper, yellow and wrinkled.

Of course she knew that she had indeed written such a letter that year.

However, this letter was not written to Wang Jinhua, but to her lover.

It was naturally impossible for her to complete such a meticulous plan alone. More importantly, if she was involved, there would be a risk of being discovered.

She simply pretended that she knew nothing and left the matter to her lover.

But how did this letter fall into Wang Jinhua's hands?

Of course, she couldn't ask such a deadly question in front of the police, and she couldn't let Lu Hongjun know that she actually had such a lover.

She could only grit her teeth and swallow it.

"Now that the evidence is solid, put her in jail!"

Bai Huan was immediately controlled.

Lu Hongjun wanted to resist, but he heard Madam Lu shout, "What? Do you still want to interfere with the performance of official duties?"

He immediately shrank back.

Bai Huan cursed and spat at everyone madly.

"I want to see that letter!"

Lu Hongjun still couldn't believe it and decided to see the evidence himself.

It was not until he saw the letter that his face turned pale, and he finally confirmed that Bai Huan had indeed abducted Lu Yu.

He knew Bai Huan's handwriting very well; it was definitely written by her!

However, there was no title in the letter, only the word "Huan" was signed.

The old woman said coldly, "Didn't you promise me that your daughter-in-law is the most well-behaved and kind person in the world, and that she would never do such a heartless thing?"

Lu Hongjun lowered his head and felt as if he had been slapped twice, his head was buzzing.

"Mother, I didn't expect this to happen. I'm sorry to you, Bai Jing, and Lu Yu."

After so many years, the old lady finally heard these words and nodded with satisfaction.

Who knew he would change the subject: "But, Bai Huan is my family after all. She has given birth to my children over the years. He was just young and ignorant and made some mistakes. Please don't pursue it anymore, okay?"

The old lady widened her eyes in disbelief: "What did you just say?"

Could it be that she was so overwhelmed with joy that her ears were damaged?

Lu Hongjun said, "Bai Huan is my first wife after all. I only love this woman in my life. Mom, please have pity on me!"

"Selfish!"

Madam Lu was silent for a long time, and finally forced out these two words from between her teeth.

How could she, who had been so smart all her life, raise such a selfish and stupid son?

"Mom, I am indeed selfish, but this is also human nature..." Lu Hongjun was still trying to argue.

"She was your first wife, so what about Bai Jing? She gave birth to your son, but what about Lu Yu? Bai Jing almost gave up her life to give birth to your child, and Lu Yu was abused by this old woman in the countryside for so many years. Don't you feel any guilt at all?

You don't feel pain because the whip hasn't hit you. You think she's gentle and kind because she hasn't hurt you. Even if she kills people, burns people, or commits all kinds of evil, it has nothing to do with you. Are you so selfish? Do you still have justice and law in your eyes?

The old lady never expected that the son she raised would be such a social scum who ignored and trampled on the law.

Lu Hongjun almost knelt down before the old lady: "Mom, the dead can't be resurrected, so let's give the living a chance to live, okay?"

"You're dreaming!"

After hearing these words, Lu Hongjun's originally pleading eyes gradually became filled with resentment.

"I've begged you so much, and you still can't agree? In your eyes, Big Brother and I will always be different. I am the selfish bastard, and Big Brother is the upright and honest cadre.

Bai Huan has never been wrong. You just say one thing and do another, and your bias has even reached the Nile Gulf!"

“Bang!”

For the first time in such a long time, Mrs. Lu lost control of her emotions when facing her son and couldn't help but slap him.

Lu Hongjun took the slap head-on and knelt upright on the ground, not moving at all.

"You..." The old lady's eyes turned red with heartache, but she could only endure it.

Lu Hongjun stood up straight and kowtowed to her three times.

"Mom, I'll accept whatever you want to do to her next, but please don't get in my way. I will never give up on her. Just pretend you never raised me as your son!"

Blood was oozing from his forehead. He slowly stood up and staggered away.

The old lady was heartbroken, but she was more disappointed in herself.

Why didn't I pay more attention to this son and educate him more?

That's why he went astray and ended up living like this.

She walked on the street in a daze, not knowing how far she had walked or how long she had walked. The rain was pouring down and she had no time to dodge. She walked in the rain unconsciously.

Perhaps because the heartache had overshadowed the external stimulation, Mrs. Lu was completely unaware of the changes in the surrounding environment.
