Chapter 125 I realized you've never called me Huanghuang
Ji Tanyuan woke up the next morning with her eyelids twitching.
She touched her eyelids and went into the restaurant to eat.
Seeing that she had raised her hand to cover half of her face, the nanny asked with concern, "Miss, are you feeling unwell?"
Ji Tanyuan sat down and shook her head, "No, it's just that my eyelids are twitching badly, and both of them are twitching at the same time."
"You probably haven't been getting enough rest. I'll make you some nourishing soup and bring it to you at noon."
Ji Tanyuan smiled and said, "No need, I'm on a business trip today."
She needs to go back to Yanjing to pick up her puppy first, and then go to Qingdao.
Ji Tanyuan received a phone call from Tian Yuan before boarding the plane.
Tian Yuan is the general manager of Caiying, and only she knows that she is the actual controller behind Caiying. But now Tian Yuan tells her that Xin Gan knows and has come to ask her.
Ji Tanyuan frowned. "And then? You quit?"
After a moment's hesitation, Tian Yuan said, "She probably had a fight with Mr. Cheng. Her eyes are red and swollen like walnuts. Also, her face looks pale. Her agent said she has a fever."
Ji Tanyuan sighed, "Just coax her a bit. If she doesn't want to work here anymore, she can pay the penalty and leave, and I won't stop her. But you should try to persuade her. My place is much better than Cheng Gengxu's. With me, she doesn't have to worry about being blacklisted by Cheng Gengxu. It's not necessarily the same with other people."
Tian Yuan sighed. This company exists solely for Xin Gan. If Xin Gan quits, where will she find a high-paying, easy job backed by a powerful family?
"I will definitely try to persuade them."
Ji Tanyuan then put the matter out of her mind.
Upon returning to Yanjing, Ji Tanyuan suddenly felt a sense of unfamiliarity.
It might be related to her actually wanting to give up on this marriage.
Back at the Imperial Dragon Pavilion, Ji Tanyuan didn't hear any dogs barking, but she did see Qi Fu. "Where's Puppy?"
Qi Fu stood up. "The master took him to the company."
Ji Tanyuan: "Bringing a dog to the company?"
Qi Fu nodded. "Yes, he said he wanted the dog and asked you to come to him."
"Is he sick?" Ji Tanyuan exclaimed in shock.
Qi Fu said awkwardly, "Madam, do I no longer need to come?"
Ji Tanyuan's assistant had contacted her before, asking if she was a full-time dog owner with a monthly salary of 80,000 yuan. This short-term, high-paying part-time job actually lasted for a month.
It's clear that the lady has come to pick up the dog. The couple is going to separate. Actually, separating is not good for the dog, Qi Fu thought.
Because she could tell that the puppy really liked the male owner.
Ji Tanyuan then said, "So that's why my eyelids have been twitching."
Ji Tanyuan snapped out of her reverie. "Thank you for taking care of Puppy. Your assistant will discuss the salary settlement with you. You're also welcome to visit Puppy whenever you have time to go to Hujiang." She hugged Qi Fu.
Ji Tanyuan didn't linger and went straight to Zhong Yan's company.
She called Zhong Yan on the way, but Zhong Yan didn't answer.
Zhong Yan looked at the incoming call on her phone, which buzzed and rang twice.
He looked down at the dog in the distance. "Your mom called me twice for you, that's not bad. She's never called me even once for me."
The dog, which was frantically scratching the sofa, heard the noise, raised its head, its eyes filled with wicked evil, and ran to Zhong Yan's side, wagging its tail. It heard its mother and wanted to find her.
Zhong Yan leaned down and pinched its ear. "Silly dog, you'll see your mom soon."
Say "Mom," and Mom will appear.
The office door opened, and Ji Tanyuan appeared in the doorway, wearing black high heels and black suit pants without a single wrinkle. Above that was a fitted suit jacket, over which was a white silk shirt. He had his hands in his pockets, and his whole demeanor was unusually serious and elite.
But the next second, upon seeing the dog, he broke into a big smile.
She crouched down to receive the puppy's hug, "I missed you so much, baby."
She rubbed the dog's head and said, "Mommy's here to pick you up. Shall we go back to Grandma's place?"
After Ji Tanyuan finished cuddling with the dog and pouring out her heart, she stood up and looked at Zhong Yan, who had been sitting still.
She pursed her lips and said politely, "Thank you for taking care of him. You're welcome to come visit him anytime you want."
"Can I hang out with you?" Zhong Yan asked, staring at her with a smile.
Ji Tanyuan frowned: "No."
"You'd better not come looking for it. You can keep a whole bunch of them if you like."
“But none of those are her. How about this, you raise a bunch of them and leave the puppy to me.”
Ji Tanyuan was shocked and pulled the dog behind her. "This is my premarital property."
Zhong Yan nodded. He sat there in the huge office, a natural leader, but Ji Tanyuan was no less so. The two faced each other, neither giving an inch.
Zhong Yan stood up and walked towards Ji Tanyuan.
Ji Tanyuan thought he was trying to steal the dog. Although she knew that even legally he wouldn't take the dog away, she was afraid that this person would do something malicious.
Ji Tanyuan's eyes widened in fear as she took a few steps back: "What are you doing?"
Zhong Yan stopped in front of her and sighed, "Do you think I would steal a dog?"
Ji Tanyuan: "What's impossible? It's so cute."
Zhong Yan bent down, his deep eyes focused intently on Ji Tanyuan: "Yes, who wouldn't love someone so cute?"
Ji Tanyuan lowered her eyes, unable to bear Zhong Yan's gaze. She sighed, "Don't be sad either."
Then he patted him on the shoulder and said, "Life is full of regrets, that's normal. Just look forward."
Zhong Yan glanced at the hand on her shoulder; she wasn't wearing her wedding ring again.
The wedding ring on his hand seemed like a one-man show.
Zhong Yan parted his thin lips slightly: "Is that so? But I'm not really willing."
He reached out and placed his hand on her waist, pulling her into his arms and holding her tightly. The man's strength restrained her, leaving Ji Tanyuan with no way to resist.
The other person's cold fragrance enveloped Ji Tanyuan's entire body, and his tall figure loomed over her, completely covering her.
She warned in a low voice, "Ex-husband, be mindful of your boundaries."
Zhong Yan scoffed, "We're not divorced yet, so what kind of ex-husband is he?"
Ji Tanyuan: "Then why can't you hurry up and finish this sooner?"
"It can't be over," Zhong Yan said in a low voice.
Ji Tanyuan paused for a moment, then raised her hand and patted her back: "This marriage was rushed and too chaotic, causing so much trouble. Wouldn't it be better if we could get a divorce, sort things out ourselves, and then think about the future?"
Her voice was gentle, but her rationality bordered on cruel.
Zhong Yan didn't speak, "Call me husband."
Ji Tanyuan closed her eyes briefly, then seemed to realize something: "I noticed you've never called me Huanghuang."
Although she didn't know why, there was definitely a reason why he wouldn't call her by her nickname.
“Call me Huanghuang,” Ji Tanyuan said.
Zhong Yan remained silent, which only fueled Ji Tanyuan's curiosity, so she urged, "Say something."
"I learned your nickname from Shen Xiling."
Ji Tanyuan frowned. "When our parents had dinner together before the wedding, my dad kept calling me by my nickname. When did you meet Shen Xiling?"
Moreover, what did we learn from Shen Xiling? What a bizarre thought process.
Zhong Yan's heart skipped a beat.
As Zhong Yan remained silent, Ji Tanyuan snorted coldly and pushed him away, "You've been just going through the motions before the marriage, so you don't really care about anything."
Zhong Yan watched the person leave, then looked down and slapped his mouth.
