Chapter 129 You promised me you wouldn't see other men.

Chapter 129 You promised me you wouldn't see other men.

People with money really know how to have fun.

One suggested divorcing on their wedding anniversary, while the other suggested waiting until after their anniversary.

Are these two really that casual?

Chen Hanwen bent down and looked at the computer, looking at the schedule, and said as he looked, "Don't pay attention to those two. Just go when it's time."

"Just contact their assistant to check their schedule. If you ask them, how would they know when they're available? They'll just give you nonsense."

That's how bosses are sometimes; they act on their emotions without caring how their employees struggle with their capricious ideas.

The legal assistant touched his nose, thinking, "Only Attorney Chen would dare to do that; how could they?"

And so, the date was chosen to be two days before their wedding anniversary.

I don't know which bastard came up with the idea that the meeting room for discussing the divorce is the same meeting room where they originally discussed getting married.

When Zhong Yan entered the room, his face immediately turned as cold as freezing.

The lawyers went about their work, each not daring to provoke any trouble.

Zhong Yan casually tossed her phone onto the table.

"You're quite good at picking dates, and you're also quite good at picking rooms."

"Young Master Zhong, it's already good enough that it wasn't on our wedding anniversary." Chen Hanwen entered the room carrying the documents.

Zhong Yan lifted her eyelids. "So, I should thank you?"

Chen Hanwen smiled and said, "Indeed, after all, President Ji said it was our wedding anniversary."

Zhong Yan's face was grim, and he gritted his teeth, "Ji Tanyuan said that?"

He was so angry he laughed, then looked towards the door and met the gaze of Ji Tanyuan, who had just entered.

Ji Tanyuan smiled and said, "Hello, ex-husband."

Zhong Yan turned her head away from him, her expression cool. "It's not good."

Ji Tanyuan braced her hands on the conference table. "It'll be good to be single again after today."

Seeing Ji Tanyuan so happy, Zhong Yan felt a nameless anger rising in his heart!

Zhong Yan said calmly, "I suddenly don't want to get a divorce anymore."

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone looked over. Assistant Liang slapped his forehead, turned around, and faced the wall with his back to them.

He didn't want to face such an ancestor.

Ji Tanyuan's smile froze. "What's wrong with you now?"

Zhong Yan said "Oh", "Nothing much, I just suddenly don't want to get a divorce anymore. I can hold out for a while longer."

He stood up, straightened his suit, and bent down to look at Ji Tanyuan, who was glaring at him: "My ex-wife, let's meet again someday when I want a divorce?"

Ji Tanyuan: "No, we're already here."

Hesitation leads to trouble. Ji Tanyuan just wants to get a divorce as soon as possible and doesn't want to drag things out any longer. Her company has prepared a series of actions, and the new product launch is to buffer the potential crisis that the divorce may bring.

Zhong Yan chuckled, "So eager? What's so good about getting divorced? Isn't it better to gradually stabilize things now?"

"We had to go through this sooner or later, didn't we?"

Zhong Yan put his hands in his pockets and walked out. "Then we can do it later. If you want to go through international commercial arbitration, you can go ahead and I'll wait. But that might take even longer."

Ji Tanyuan was bewildered. Zhong Yan's ambiguous attitude was truly infuriating: "Are you playing me?"

Zhong Yan looked down at Ji Tanyuan. She was tilting her head back, her makeup was exquisite, even her red lips were perfectly drawn without a single flaw. However, her low ponytail was a little loose and fluffy, with strands of hair messy on her cheeks. She looked less serious and upright, but her eyes were still blazing with fire, as if she had been provoked.

He looked down and met her gaze:

"You're so happy about divorcing me?"

Ji Tanyuan awkwardly withdrew her hand from his, "Divorce isn't like dying, it's just... a divorce."

It's no big deal. She's done much bigger things before, so Ji Tanyuan is quite calm about this little thing, since she had expected it long ago.

Zhong Yan felt a chill run through him. No matter how good his mindset or how great his ambition, he had to lose confidence in the face of Ji Tanyuan's happy expression.

"So, everything is trivial except for death, huh?"

Ji Tanyuan nodded, but stopped nodding when she saw Zhong Yan's gaze. "Are you feeling unwell? How about we finish talking and I'll treat you to dinner?"

Zhong Yan, with a cold expression, brushed her hand away and turned to look at the busy people.

"How about this, you promise me that after the divorce we'll get along the same way we did before."

Ji Tanyuan was puzzled. Zhong Yan's voice was too low, and she didn't quite hear him: "Wh...what?"

Zhong Yan straightened up, and this time her voice was loud enough for everyone in the conference room to hear clearly, "Didn't you hear me? Never mind then, everyone can leave now, thank you for your hard work."

Apart from Zhong Yan's team, everyone else was shocked.

They all looked up at the two people by the conference room door.

Chen Hanwen raised his head. He was the oldest and most experienced lawyer there, a financial lawyer who had worked with many large companies, and he was someone who could be considered influential.

"What's going on? Can you two sit down and discuss the agreement first? Whether you sign it or not is your business at the Civil Affairs Bureau."

"I don't have time, I have to fly to Hong Kong for work tonight, please sit down."

Zhong Yan remained calm, focusing intently on Ji Tanyuan.

Ji Tanyuan gave a forced smile, "Zhong Yan, what do you want to be? A lover?"

Zhong Yan thought for a moment, "Lover sounds better than ex-husband."

Ji Tanyuan stared in disbelief. She stood on tiptoe and covered his mouth. "Are you out of your mind? There are so many people here. Be serious."

Zhong Yan pulled her wrist down, moved closer to her, and said in a low voice, "Promise me you won't see other men."

Ji Tanyuan choked, somewhat indignant. She was already divorced, so why couldn't she find another man? "Your ex-husband is quite nosy."

Chen Hanwen looked at the two whispering to each other and asked Ji Tanyuan's assistant, "Are you sure? They're here to talk about divorce?"

Tang Xin nodded, "That's right, otherwise why would we be here?"

Chen Hanwen smiled. They're embracing so intimately now; imagine how fierce the battle will be when they negotiate the division of assets later!

Ji Tanyuan couldn't stand him anymore, "Ding ding ding".

As Ji Tanyuan pushed him away, she thought to herself, "Anyway, there's no rule that says you can only have one lover. We're divorced, so what right does he have to stop me from looking at handsome guys?"

Ji Tanyuan coughed twice, "Then I want 67% absolute control of Zidian."

Zhong Yan narrowed his eyes, "Why don't you just rob it?"

Ji Tanyuan sneered, "You're so shameless, why should I care about saving face?"
