The maid stood up from behind the sofa. Zhong Yan looked unfamiliar and frowned as she looked at the girl in front of her: "Who are you?"

Zhong Yan closed the door, took off his suit jacket, and walked towards his desk. Ji Tanyuan's legs were curled up on the back of the chair. When she saw him coming, she tried to put her feet down, but he turned the chair around to stop her. The man bent down and placed his hands on the armrests of the chair, trapping her between himself and the chair, not allowing her to retreat even an inch.
"I'm asking you, did you spearhead the equity reform in your group?"
Ji Tanyuan did not answer directly, "Why are you asking this?"
Zhong Yan smiled. "Did you see the family rules yesterday? When your father asked if you were busy with company matters, you answered yes, right?"
Ji Tanyuan was enlightened; one of the family rules was that she should not have frequent contact with her maternal family and that the interests of the family should always come first.
She disobeyed.
Ji Tanyuan lowered her head and laughed, then looked up to meet the man's gaze. Her aura was no less imposing, her eyes were calm, and there was no trace of laughter or tenderness left, only the coldness and determination that comes with being in the business world.
