The guard in black relayed the information he had gathered to the man in dark-colored casual clothes.
The man walked alone towards the east of the village. Many graves had been added, and the grass on the easternmost grave was already three feet tall.
He reached out and pulled the grass off the grave, adding fresh soil.
His mind recalled the past; he stood before the grave for a long time before returning to the county town.
"Your Highness, the county has caught human traffickers, perhaps the young master..." the black-clad guard whispered to the man.
The man paused, his gaze fixed on the direction of the government office, and after a long silence said, "To the county government office!"
The two went to the backyard of the county government office. A guard took out a handwritten letter, and the gatekeeper immediately let them in. The two went inside and saw a group of children who were being well taken care of.
“Some of these children still remember their home addresses. The government will send a message to their homes, and the children will be taken back,” the guard in black explained to the man.
The man's gaze fell on the children.
Having found no one they were looking for, they turned their gaze away.
Suddenly a sound caught his attention.
Lu Futu stood beside a child who had been modified. He coldly tore off large pieces of animal skin that had grown onto the child's flesh, replacing the skin and covering the child's body: "If you don't want to be treated like a monster, if you don't want to be looked down upon, then endure it. It's either death or survival. You have no choice."
The animal hide was torn off, and blood spread from the wound.
Such a large wound, torn off in an instant? Dr. Liu's heart clenched at the sight.
He glared at Lu Futu and thought that the little Futu was a monster. He was cold-hearted and ruthless. Such a person was not the best candidate to be a doctor. He should be an executioner!
