Chapter 66 Extremely Strong Desire for Control

"Tell me, what impact would it have if we used animals to study trauma recovery?" Su Jiaoniang stared at the Buddha statue, letting the child think about the consequences himself.

Futu paused for a moment.

He reached down and touched his own butt, thinking he was about to get a spanking.

Especially when you see a pitch-black fire poker.

When children in the village did something wrong, they would be picked up, held on their laps, and spanked with sticks.

Just talking about the consequences?

as a result of?

What could be the consequences? It's just a matter of testing on animals. If the animals die, we can still eat the meat. If the animals survive, it proves that this direction is correct, and we can continue the research.

He blinked, his well-behaved face showing a cute expression.

Looking at Futu's obedient and endearing face, Su Jiaoniang sighed softly in her heart.

With that appearance, if she went out and became a con artist, she could probably fool everyone in the world.

"Can't figure it out?" Su Jiaoniang asked with a hint of doubt. She felt that given Futu's intelligence, he shouldn't be unable to think of it.

Little Buddha nodded. All he could think of were positive developments, and it shouldn't be taken so seriously.

"Then keep thinking!" After saying that, Su Jiaoniang walked towards the kitchen and continued making soufflés.

A delicious aroma wafted from the kitchen. Fu Tu looked inside and saw a soufflé spread out on a small frying pan, steaming hot. The plump soufflés were taken out of the pan and placed on a plate, topped with some hawthorn shavings and seasonal fruit. It looked delicious.

Gu Xizhou walked to Lu Futu's side, his gaze falling on the soufflé in the kitchen with the same intensity.

Perhaps because he had suffered in his early years, Gu Xizhou could never bring himself to dislike sweet things.

After trying the cake soufflé, I was equally won over.

However, once they arrived in the village, the only person who knew how to bake cakes didn't bake any more cakes, which made Lu Wujiu feel slightly disappointed.

His gaze shifted from the soufflé to the Buddha statue.

"Human desires and greed are limitless. If we're not satisfied with testing on animals, won't we extend that to humans next? Human life is incredibly fragile; a few simple choices can cost us our lives. If medical students, in pursuit of advancement, are willing to..."

Lu Wujiu explained briefly, and Lu Futu instantly understood why his mother's expression had been so unpleasant earlier: human desires are limitless and boundless.

His mother was worried that he would not be able to control the precedent, which would lead to more and more people conducting animal experiments.

Experimental animals are out of the question, but if there are one or two radical individuals, they might as well use humans! Although Lu Futu felt that whether it was humans or animals, as long as his own family wasn't involved, it was fine, but he couldn't ignore his mother's thoughts.

"Then, I was wrong?" Lu Futu asked in surprise.

Lu Wujiu nodded and then shook his head. It was neither right nor wrong. If something were really done on an animal, it would be meaningful to the human body.

Humans, being the most advanced of all things, naturally feel they are right.

However, things have two sides.

The woman in the kitchen is likely someone who intends to cultivate in her child the ability to consider both possible outcomes of a problem and to take responsibility for those consequences, treating the child like an adult.

"Do you have other masters, child?" Lu Wujiu asked.

Lu Futu paused for a moment, then shook his head: "Why do you ask that?"

"Because I feel there is another person secretly guiding you, pulling you down a different path of growth, while your mother wants you to grow up on a path where you have a clear conscience."

Lu Wujiu said.

He had observed the child and found no strange person lurking in the shadows, instructing the child.

Therefore, children are born that way.

"Aren't the two paths the same?" Lu Futu knew that his growth was more influenced by his dreams. Everything that happened in his dreams gave him experience and empathy, allowing him, at the tender age of five, to experience the complexities of life that others might never experience in their entire lives.

"They're different!" One turns a person into a passionate young man, the other turns them into a lonely, isolated individual. Those who go astray, aren't they all miserable?

Xiao Futu lowered his head, no longer paying attention to Gu Xizhou. He knew in his heart how his life should go and how it should develop.

Su Jiaoniang cleaned up the kitchen.

Dinner was served.

I gently rubbed my wrists. Making soufflés is such a tiring thing! I never want to make it again.

However, she once said that she wanted the children to get tired of eating soufflés. Even if they felt nauseous at the sight of one, she would still have to keep trying.

"Have you figured out anything from your reflections?" Su Jiaoniang glanced at the Buddha statue standing outside.

Fu Tu nodded: "Keep everything under control, otherwise don't make any suggestions that are beyond your control."

Su Jiaoniang was stunned for a moment. This insight was a bit profound, but it wasn't wrong either!

"Humans aren't plants or trees, how can they be without feelings? What you lack is empathy for others. Go out and make more friends in the future, experience more of the joys and sorrows that people should have, and learn to cherish what you have." After saying this, Su Jiaoniang patted Xiao Futu's head.

The word "cherish" sounds simple, and the principle is easy to understand, but who can truly cherish it? Most people take what they have for granted.

Lu Futu followed behind Su Jiaoniang.

He understands the value of cherishing things!

He cherishes his family above all else. His little girl and her mother are more precious than anything else.

He walked into the dining room, glanced at the soufflé on the table, and didn't really want to eat it.
