Chapter 12 Raising a Son to Be a Good Person

"You ate five pancakes by yourself?" Su Jiaoniang considered her words carefully, but ultimately couldn't find any tactful way to phrase it, so she asked directly.

Gu Changsheng blushed and nodded shyly. There weren't many pancakes. Back when she was at home, she could eat a whole roasted chicken. But here, she had been starving for several days, eating only light soup and plain food. Her stomach was growling with hunger. When she saw the pancakes in the kitchen this morning, she couldn't stop eating them and finished them all in one go.

After we finished eating, I saw the little girl's teary eyes.

He felt like fainting.

He ate it, so be it. He was of noble status and it wasn't like he couldn't afford such a small thing. But Lu Futu's cold gaze made him feel uneasy, as if he had done something terrible that would destroy the world.

Su Jiaoniang frowned.

The patient lying in bed felt increasingly guilty, and at this moment he actually felt that the matter of three pancakes was a matter of life and death.

This family of three is not so poor that they can't afford flatbread; they even have ice, which is quite precious.

"Little girl, go and call Grandpa Liu over."

Such a healthy child, eating so much, either has a special constitution or has some kind of physical defect.

Regardless of the problem, the child is already lying here, becoming a tool for her to teach her son to care for others, cultivate relationships, and integrate into the world. How can someone's body be harmed?

Dr. Liu was available at a moment's notice. He glanced at the person on the bed, examined the wound, and a look of surprise flashed in his eyes: "The recovery is going very well, better than I expected."

“The child has eaten a bit too much, but he doesn’t seem to have any problems. Can you tell if it’s just his constitution, or…” Su Jiaoniang said briefly, and Doctor Liu’s eyes flashed with surprise as he stared at Gu Changsheng for a long time.

From the delicate skin and arms of the little boy to his overall appearance, he made a judgment and said with a smile, "Take good care of him. This child is much more valuable than your ginseng. If you raise him well, you can make money."

Su Jiaoniang's gaze fell on Gu Changsheng. She had long guessed that this child was from a wealthy and noble family, but was it really okay for Doctor Liu to say that? More expensive than ginseng? Shouldn't he be taken good care of?

Does she make money by raising children?

Just as Su Jiaoniang was about to say something, she noticed a glint of light flash across Lu Futu's cold, handsome face.

He stared at Xiao Changsheng, his gaze softening. This look made her panic. How could a good young man, a successor of socialism and with upright values, change his stance for a few coins?

She was determined to raise her child to be a good person.
