Grandpa Fu showed no fear in the face of such arguments; instead, he acted as if it were none of his business.
"If that's the case, then the problem lies with the bystanders."
Seeing that he didn't take the matter seriously at all, there was no point in Fu Nanxiao continuing.
"In that case, I will also pursue legal action against you. You think you can make me take the blame if something goes wrong? You've got a bad idea."
"Don't meddle in other people's business. This company can't afford any problems right now. New products are about to be launched. If something goes wrong, all the hard work this year has been wasted."
Fu Nanxiao ignored his words and turned to leave.
He should also make the old man feel the sense of crisis.
Grandpa Fu chased after them to the door, shouting angrily, "Do you really want your family to fight amongst themselves and become a laughingstock? If you ruin all my efforts, I will not forgive you."
Hearing the commotion, Grandma Fu rushed upstairs. Seeing Fu Nanxiao's angry expression, she knew that the grandfather and grandson had quarreled again.
"Nan Xiao, what's wrong? Can't you talk things out properly?"
"Grandma, your birthday is in half a month. Tell me what you want to do, and I will make it happen for you."
Fu Nanxiao changed the subject, not wanting to discuss this matter with her.
Grandma Fu held his hand and sighed heavily.
"Nan Xiao, my greatest wish is to see you two, grandfather and grandson, shake hands and make peace, and stop fighting."
After saying that, she let go of his hand and said, "Of course I know this is not your problem, but that stubborn old man who refuses to give up. I just hope that day will come."
Fu Nanxiao wanted to tell her that even if they ever made peace, the relationship would already be riddled with holes and beyond repair.
"Lai Lai is still waiting for me at home, I'm going back now."
"The snacks aren't ready yet," the old lady said with a look of regret.
"I'll arrange for someone to pick you up tomorrow. I'd like you to take it there yourself; Wen Chao and the others will prefer that."
Upon hearing this, Grandma Fu put on a smiling face and said, "Then it's decided."
Fu Nanxiao nodded and left, leaving her with only his back view.
Fu Nanxiao returned to his room in the early hours of the morning. He thought Jiang Yilai had already gone to sleep, but when he gently opened the door, he found her still sitting at the dressing table organizing documents.
Hearing the door open, she turned around and gave Fu Nanxiao a gentle smile.
"I'm back."
Fu Nanxiao stepped forward, held her shoulders, and gently massaged her.
"Still not asleep so late."
"I can't sleep since you're not back yet, so I'll just organize the materials I need for tomorrow."
Fu Nanxiao put his arm around her and asked, "Why didn't you ask me how I was doing?"
Jiang Yilai leaned against him and said, "If you want to tell me, you will. I don't want to put you in a difficult position."
Jiang Yilai knew perfectly well that he was going back to see the old man, but if he didn't want to say, she couldn't ask.
Fu Nanxiao pulled the person up and gently embraced him.
"I've already had Assistant Qi collect the evidence, and it will be ready for you tomorrow."
"What about the legal representative?"
Jiang Yilai was worried that suing Dingfeng Company would implicate Fu Nanxiao.
"Don't worry about that, it will be taken care of tomorrow. Just do what you think is right."
"Nan Xiao, have I caused you any trouble?"
"How could that be? It had nothing to do with me to begin with. Besides, this incident has made me realize something even more clearly."
"What's the problem?"
Fu Nanxiao hugged her tighter, realizing that this problem was truly hurtful, and only she could heal him.
