Gu Ming'en's voice choked with emotion, and he could barely hear what he was saying, yet every word reached Jiang Yilai's ears.
Jiang Yilai stood there stunned, unable to utter a sound. She simply couldn't believe what she had just heard.
She had just visited the old lady at the hospital that afternoon and heard from Fu Nanxiao that her condition had improved. How could something like this suddenly happen?
She looked at Fu Nanxiao with a questioning gaze, only to find that he didn't dare to meet her eyes at all, and for a moment she seemed to understand something.
Gu Ming'en urged, "Lai Lai, hurry up and come over. You might be able to see her one last time. If you're too late..."
At this point, Gu Ming'en couldn't continue, and Jiang Yilai was too dazed to react.
It was Fu Nanxiao who reacted and pulled her hand, leading her towards the garage.

Fu Nanxiao gripped the steering wheel tightly and said heavily, "I'm sorry, your uncle was afraid you'd worry, so he didn't say anything."
Jiang Yilai asked blankly, "Then why didn't you tell me?"
Understanding her pain at that moment, Fu Nanxiao sighed.
"Lai Lai, I don't want you to live in fear from now on, and I don't want to ruin your beautiful dream."
“These are not just wishful thinking. You should let me know so that I can spend more time with my grandmother, even if it's just to see her a little longer. Your concern is too selfish.”
Jiang Yilai was somewhat out of control; she couldn't understand why they were doing this.
If it's truly for her own good, she should be allowed to spend more time with the old lady.
But how could I bear to give her so much hope, only to suddenly shatter it all?
Fu Nanxiao was taken aback. Perhaps Jiang Yilai was right; they shouldn't have taken it upon themselves to handle this matter.
"I'm sorry, Lai Lai, I didn't think it through!"
Fu Nanxiao felt sorry for him, but there was nothing he could do.
Jiang Yilai shook her head; she didn't want the old lady to leave, as there were still many things they hadn't done together.
This is so unfair to both the grandmother and granddaughter.
Jiang Yilai clutched her shirt, feeling so heartbroken she could hardly breathe.
Fu Nanxiao took a deep breath and almost pulled over several times, but he couldn't stop because of the current situation. He had to get to the hospital as soon as possible.
“Lai Lai, perhaps a miracle can still happen. I believe Grandma wouldn’t bear to leave you like this.”
With tears streaming down her face, Jiang Yilai said, "She said she would always stay with me, so she can't leave."
Fu Nanxiao was heartbroken and could only pray for a miracle to happen, otherwise they would lose this old man.
As soon as the car stopped, Jiang Yilai rushed towards the emergency room, with Fu Nanxiao close behind.
When the two ran to the door of the emergency room, the Gu brothers leaned against the wall wiping away tears. Hearing footsteps, they turned around, and Gu Ming'en shook his head at her with tears falling.
Jiang Yilai laughed incredulously: "No way, you must be joking with me. I just saw her this afternoon, and when I was massaging her, her fingers were even moving."
Jiang Yilai stumbled forward, her steps weak.
Fu Nanxiao quickly hugged her, and Jiang Yilai choked up and said, "Grandma won't leave me like this. She hasn't done what she promised me yet."
After she finished speaking, she looked at Fu Nanxiao anxiously, wanting him to give her an answer.
