Fu Nanxiao held her in his arms: "Did you have a nightmare?"
Jiang Yilai nodded and buried her head in his chest.
"Sleep well, I'll stay with you." Fu Nanxiao gently patted her back, his voice soft and gentle: "Don't be afraid, those people have all been arrested, I will protect you."
Jiang Yilai closed her eyes and didn't say anything.

Before Fu Nanxiao could reply, Jiang Yilai in his arms stirred and opened her eyes.

Fu Nanxiao thought she looked adorable.
He leaned closer and placed a kiss on her forehead.
He asked softly, "Awake?"
Early in the morning, Jiang Yilai couldn't help but feel a flutter in her heart.
Her cheeks flushed slightly as she propped herself up: "What time is it?"
"Eight o'clock, still early, go back to sleep."
Fu Nanxiao pressed her down, but got up and got out of bed himself.
Jiang Yilai felt a little lost as half of the warmth beside her suddenly disappeared.
When Fu Nanxiao finished washing up and came out, he saw her looking at him expectantly.
He couldn't help but curl the corners of his lips into a smile.
Fu Nanxiao walked over and touched her face: "I still have work to do, I'll come back to keep you company tonight."
He was originally going to work all night, but having his lover in his arms was really wearing him down.
He sighed, "Now I finally understand what it means for a monarch to stop holding court in the mornings."
He stared at Jiang Yilai as he spoke, as if he were confessing his love.
Jiang Yilai's face instantly turned red: "You should leave now."
Fu Nanxiao kissed her on the lips before getting up and leaving.
As soon as the bedroom door closed, Jiang Yilai's smile faded.
She had mixed feelings, filled with confusion and uncertainty, and didn't know what to do.
Just then, Sun Yufei called and asked her to go out.
Sun Yufei looked to be in a good mood and radiant.
She sat down and was startled when she saw Jiang Yilai: "Lailai, are you sick? Why have you lost so much weight?"
She was unaware that Jiang Yilai had been kidnapped, only assuming that she hadn't been feeling well lately.
Jiang Yilai didn't want to say more, and shook her head with a smile: "Maybe it's getting hot, my appetite isn't very good."
"Then let's eat something light and delicious, it's on me!" Sun Yufei ordered a few dishes that Jiang Yilai liked.
She was all smiles the whole time, and even Jiang Yilai couldn't help but be infected by her cheerfulness.
She looked at Sun Yufei and suddenly realized something: "You're in a relationship?"
Sure enough, Sun Yufei's face turned red instantly.
Jiang Yilai couldn't help but laugh: "Really? It's Jin Zisong?"
Just mentioning this name brings a sweet smile to Sun Yufei's face.
She nodded, and said shyly, "We just confirmed our relationship a couple of days ago. I was going to tell you, but I thought it would be better to tell you in person."
