Chapter 1289 Forever Lost Freedom

Jiang Yilai, acting as her lawyer, quickly got things done and went to the prison that afternoon.

Fu Nanxiao did not stop her when he learned of her actions. Only by letting her complete what she wanted to do could she return to a normal life.

Fu Nanxiao personally drove her to the prison gate and asked with concern, "Are you sure you don't need me to go in with you?"

Jiang Yilai calmly shook her head: "No need, I want to go in by myself. You've already been delayed for a few days, so go back to the company first and have the driver pick me up."

If Fu Nanxiao said he would stay and wait for her, it would definitely put pressure on her, so she could only nod.

"Okay, call me if you need anything."

Jiang Yilai nodded slightly, knowing that he had been with her these past few days, even if he wasn't in the room, she knew he was downstairs.

She's just not over it yet and needs some time to process it.

After registering at the prison, the prison guards took her to the reception room.

When Gu Nianqiang heard that someone was visiting her in prison, she thought it was Du Yi and quickly tidied her appearance.

She has been writing to Du Yi for the past few days, hoping to get his forgiveness, but she has not received a response.

Now, hearing that someone is coming to see her, she goes there with great excitement.

However, when she saw that the person in front of her was Jiang Yilai, her face instantly darkened.

"How could it be you? What are you doing here?"

Jiang Yilai's expression was indifferent. When the prison guard asked Gu Nianqiang to sit down first, she seemed somewhat reluctant.

Jiang Yilai took a deep breath and looked at her. Even now, she was still waiting for Du Yi to come and see her.

Unfortunately, Du Yi will never come again. After Old Mrs. Gu passed away, Gu Ming'en took her to see a hypnotist, who helped her regain all her memories.

Now she harbors even more hatred towards Gu Nianqiang and has left in a fit of anger.

Gu Ming'en no longer wanted to hide his life; what he needed was for Du Yi to accept him.

"Where is my mother? Why doesn't she come to see me?"

Jiang Yilai placed her hands on the table and looked up at her through the curtain, her eyes filled with hatred.

"You only care about this. Why don't you ask how Grandma is doing?"

Gu Nianqiang said dismissively, "She will have the best medical team to treat her, so she'll be fine."

Jiang Yilai suddenly laughed, but the smile was somewhat terrifying, making Gu Nianqiang's heart tremble.

"But what can we do? Grandma has already passed away."

Gu Nianqiang stared at her in horror, her eyes wide with disbelief. She asked in surprise, "Are you trying to scare me on purpose? How could that be?"

Jiang Yilai slowly stood up and walked over, raising her hand to slap Gu Nianqiang. Caught off guard, Gu Nianqiang fell to the ground, and the prison guard quickly stopped her.

Jiang Yilai gritted her teeth and said, "It's all because of you, you damned bastard! You dragged my grandmother to take the knife for you, and then pushed her down afterwards. I'm here to tell you that I'm going to add to your sentence."

How could Jiang Yilai let this vicious woman off so easily?

She would risk everything she had learned and use all her connections to ensure that this woman could never leave the country.

"No, Grandma won't die."

Gu Nianqiang shook her head, unable to believe it. After all, she knew that once the old lady died, she would be finished too.

Jiang Yilai said angrily, "I'm going to make sure you stay in there for the rest of your life, that you'll never be free, and that you'll wish you were dead!"

Gu Nianqiang rolled over and got up, pressing for an answer: "You're really not lying to me? I don't believe it. She only suffered minor injuries. It must be a medical accident. It has nothing to do with me."

Even at this point, Gu Nianqiang still wants to shirk responsibility; Jiang Yilai really wants to kill her with her own hands.
