She sobbed softly.
"Big brother, when can you take me away? I'm so scared, I want to get out of here as soon as possible!"
Ye Yongchen glared at the policewoman, then looked at Ye Ruoxin, his dissatisfaction vanishing and replaced by pity.
He gently comforted Ye Ruoxin.
"Xinxin, don't worry, you can go home today. Your older brother is here to bail you out, and the lawyer has already taken care of the formalities. We'll be home soon!"
With tears welling up in her eyes, Ye Ruoxin finally couldn't stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks and hitting the ground when she heard Ye Yongchen's words.
She sniffed and took Ye Yongchen's hand across the table.
"I knew my brother was the best! He would definitely let me spend the night in this godforsaken place! I can't stand being here for even a second longer!"
Ye Yongchen gripped Ye Ruoxin's cold hand tightly and repeated two words.
"rest assured!"
Neither of them spoke. Ye Ruoxin looked extremely haggard, while Ye Yongchen didn't know how to comfort her, since there was an outsider present, and there were many things she couldn't say in front of him.
About half an hour later, the lawyer knocked on the door.
"Young Master."
"Come in."
The lawyer pushed open the door, stood in the doorway, and closed it behind him.
When Ye Ruoxin saw the lawyer arrive, she tried to stand up before Ye Yongchen could speak, but the policewoman behind her pressed down on her shoulder and warned her sternly again.
"You're all done, don't stand up!"
Ye Ruoxin was forced to sit back down, but her eyes were fixed on the lawyer standing at the door, and she asked expectantly.
"Can I go now? Tell this person to let me go! I want to go home!"
The lawyer's expression was somewhat uncertain, and he seemed rather embarrassed, unsure of how to begin.
Seeing the lawyer's expression, Ye Ruoxin's heart skipped a beat, and a bad premonition arose within her.
"What's wrong? When can I go home? How's the paperwork going?"
The more she spoke, the more aggressive her tone became.
The lawyer sighed and could only say to Ye Ruoxin with some difficulty.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Ye, you probably won't be able to leave here immediately."
