After an unknown amount of time, the pain subsided, and he leaned weakly against the back of the chair, looking as if he had been washed.
Jiang Yinglin simply couldn't stand it anymore.
"If you're sick, you should get treatment. What if it gets worse if you just endure it like this?"
Pei Fengzhi's pale face was devoid of color as he sneered and looked at Jiang Yinglin.
"You said it yourself, the Pei family took control of the Pei Group while I was in a car accident. They were all hoping I would die so they could take my shares. Now that I'm awake, guess what they're thinking?"
Jiang Yinglin sighed.
"I thought you were only thinking about Ye Ningwan and didn't care about your own situation at all."
Pei Fengzhi made a light mockery.
"You can go now. I want to rest for a while. No one is allowed to disturb me without my permission."
Jiang Yinglin nodded.
"Your assistant is away on a business trip. He heard you've woken up and is rushing back as fast as he can. As for bodyguards, use mine for now!"
Although he said that, he showed no intention of leaving.
Pei Fengzhi, however, had already decided to see the guest out.
"You can go now."
Jiang Yinglin choked on his words, glared resentfully at Pei Fengzhi, and turned to sit down.
Just as Jiang Yinglin opened the study door, a sound suddenly came from behind him.
"Thank you for all these years."
Without Jiang Yinglin's care, he, a person in a vegetative state, would not have survived for so long.
Jiang Yinglin paused, and the dissatisfaction in his heart vanished instantly.
He raised his hand and waved it with his back to Pei Fengzhi.
"We're all brothers, no need to be so polite!"
The study door was closed, and Pei Fengzhi leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and sat silently for a while.

Thump!
A book on the bookshelf wobbled precariously before finally falling and crashing into the pile of shards of glass.
Pei Fengzhi opened his eyes and his gaze fell on the leather notebook on the ground.
It was a notebook, clearly hidden on the bookshelf.
As if possessed, he stood up and walked over.
