The overhead light was broken, and darkness enveloped him. He lowered his head, revealing a section of his slender neck.
The air was filled with Madam Pei's heart-wrenching cries as she begged Ye Ningwan to spare her two sons, without mentioning Zhang Qin at all.
Zhang Qin was like an abandoned object, completely discarded by Madam Pei, and could no longer leave even the slightest trace in her heart.

He made these things sound so natural that Ye Ningwan was speechless for a moment and could only let Pei Fengzhi hold her like that.
