As Ye Ningwan slowly walked to Pei Minghan's hospital room, heart-wrenching cries came from inside.
"Minghan! My Minghan! Minghan!"
Several nurses rushed out of the ward, covered in blood, their faces pale behind their masks, and they began to vomit while leaning against the wall.
Meanwhile, new nurses rushed in to help.
The nurses retched for a while before leaning against the wall, clutching their chests, seemingly still reeling from the horrific scene in the ward.
After a long while, she wiped her sweat and said in a low voice.
"That's terrible! That fraudster deserves to be torn to pieces!"
Another nurse also said, still shaken.
"It's absolutely disgusting! I doubt only a forensic doctor could stand it. I can't bear to look at this!"
Ye Ningwan was rather curious about what Han Dazhuang had done.
She leaned closer and asked.
"What happened? How is Young Master Pei doing now?"
The two nurses suddenly noticed an unfamiliar stranger approaching and asking the patient all sorts of questions. They became wary and stared at Ye Ningwan with displeasure.
"We cannot disclose patient information; that's our professional code. Also, who are you? This is a closed VIP ward floor; all three floors have been reserved. How did you get up here?"
The nurses here were very vigilant, probably because they had seen many paparazzi sneaking up here. Their gazes at Ye Ningwan were sharp and distant, as if they would call security to drag Ye Ningwan out the next second if her answer did not satisfy them.
Ye Ningwan said immediately.
“I am a member of the Pei family. Pei Minghan is my eldest nephew, and I am his ninth aunt. It was too chaotic inside, and the doctor wouldn't let me in, so I came to ask you about my nephew’s condition.”
The nurse stared at Ye Ningwan's young face and couldn't help but become even more suspicious.
"Young Master Pei is your nephew? How old are you? You should at least think before you lie!"
Another nurse suddenly pulled her colleague aside and whispered something.
"I heard that Pei Jiuye, who has been in a vegetative state in the hospital for more than four years, was recently arranged to marry a woman by the Pei family to bring him good luck. According to Pei Jiuye's age, the bride he is to marry is probably in her early twenties, and in terms of seniority, she is indeed Pei Jiuye's aunt."
But the nurse gave a cold laugh in annoyance.
"That's true, but no one has ever seen Master Pei's bride, whom he's supposed to marry to ward off bad luck. Who knows if this woman is real or not? Do you know how much trouble this woman could cause us if she turns out to be a reporter?"
The other nurse immediately fell silent.

So, the more cautious nurse waved her hand at Ye Ningwan as a warning.

Ye Ningwan's eyes darted around a few times before she finally spotted Luo Rui standing in the corner, talking to his deputy.
Ye Ningwan immediately stood on tiptoe, waved frantically at Luo Rui, and called out with a smile.
"Captain Luo, over here! I'm here!"
Luo Rui glanced back at Ye Ningwan, who was smiling and waving at him. Ye Ningwan was waving enthusiastically at him.
Luo Rui frowned.
What is this woman trying to do now?
Luo Rui gave the vice-captain some instructions and then walked towards Ye Ningwan.
"What's up?"
Ye Ningwan looked at Luo Rui with an innocent expression.
"Captain Luo, can you be my witness? I don't believe that I'm a member of the Pei family, or that Pei Minghan is my nephew."
Luo Rui rolled his eyes and said irritably.
"Are you really that concerned about Pei Minghan? Although he's your ex-fiancé, he's now your nephew. There's a generational difference between you! Stop having these inappropriate thoughts!"
Just then, Yang Zhi suddenly called out to him.
"team leader!"
Luo Rui gave Ye Ningwan a final warning.
"The ward is already in such a mess, don't make it worse. Only immediate family members are allowed in. Even if Pei Minghan is your nephew, you can't get in!"
Immediately, he followed Yang Zhi.
Ye Ningwan turned her head and smiled at the two nurses who seemed rather embarrassed and nervous.

Although Ye Ningwan was smiling, the nurse could hear that she was emphasizing the words "good health".
The nurse's forehead was covered in a bit more cold sweat.

Then the bolder nurse continued speaking.

The nurse couldn't bring herself to say the word "exploded."
She just said helplessly.

However, neither Madam Pei nor Pei Minghan were willing to accept things turning out this way; they still harbored a sliver of hope.
Sure enough, just as Ye Ningwan finished hearing the two nurses describe the scene in the ward, Madam Pei rushed out in a panic, covered in blood, and lunged at Ye Ningwan.
