Ye Ningwan gritted her teeth, wishing she could bite Pei Fengzhi hard on the Adam's apple and tear off a piece of his flesh.
To her surprise, the man warned her in a deep, pleasant voice.
"...Otherwise, I'll kiss you."
Upon hearing this, Ye Ningwan not only didn't blush, but became so angry that her eyes turned red. Unfortunately, she was no match for the other party at all!

Pei Fengzhi chuckled softly as he heard Ye Ningwan's disordered breathing beside him. He was about to say something when a bodyguard's cautious voice came from outside the door.
"Sir, are you alright? A petty thief broke into the manor today, and Mr. Li sent us to check on your safety."

"Get away! Don't disturb my sleep!"
A loud shout silenced the area outside the door for a while, followed by a series of soft whispers.
Soon, the bodyguard's apologetic voice came through.
"Sorry to disturb your rest, we'll leave now."
The bodyguards accompanying him were still somewhat hesitant.
"Why did he just leave like that? There were strange noises coming from his room. Why don't we go in and check it out?"
"If you want to die, go in yourself. Do you think we small fry can just offend him like this?"
Immediately following was a series of hurried footsteps, clearly indicating that the bodyguard who had raised the objection was being dragged away by his companions.
Hearing the group walk away, Ye Ningwan finally breathed a sigh of relief. But when she looked up, she met the man's dark phoenix eyes, which held a playful yet slightly sinister air, yet Ye Ningwan felt a vague sense of familiarity about them.
But she didn't have time to think about anything and pushed away the man who was on top of her.
"Let me go!"
She hasn't finished her task yet! If this continues, it'll be dawn soon!
Pei Fengzhi chuckled, grasped Ye Ningwan's struggling hands, and held them up above her head, one on top of the other.
"Is this how you treat your savior?"
Upon hearing this, Ye Ningwan sneered and retorted irritably.
"Did I ask you to save me? Stop being so presumptuous!"
Pei Fengzhi looked at the little vixen in front of him who was like a treacherous spirit who would use someone and then discard them, but he wasn't angry. He just smiled and asked her a question.
"Should I call them back again?"
Ye Ningwan was so angry that she choked on her breath. She glared at Pei Fengzhi and subconsciously reached for the dagger on her body, only to find that Pei Fengzhi had already taken it away.
She ground her back teeth, stomped hard on Pei Fengzhi's toes, and even rubbed them with the tip of her shoe.
"You dare!"
Pei Fengzhi didn't care at all about Ye Ningwan's foot stepping on his shoe tip. He used one hand to pin Ye Ningwan's hands behind her back, and with the other hand, he easily wrapped his arm around her slender waist.
His little wife was very light; he only needed to gently scoop her up before she nestled into his arms. Although her legs were kicking him restlessly, she was no match for the tall and strong Pei Fengzhi.
Ye Ningwan was completely stunned when Pei Fengzhi pressed her down on that 2.4-meter-wide bed.

"Of course I want to... steal your heart! Handsome, you've got nice pecs, would you let me touch them?"
Ye Ningwan's sudden change made Pei Fengzhi narrow his eyes suspiciously. For a moment, he even wondered if Ye Ningwan had realized who he was.
