Chapter 189, /.

Jiang Qingmiao never imagined in his life that he would almost be so angry at a young girl that he nearly fainted.

Twice!

After being scolded by Ye Ningwan, Jiang Qingmiao was naturally unwilling to let it go.

He managed to stand firm, coldly glaring at Ye Ningwan, and gritted his teeth as he spoke each word clearly.

"How can you guarantee that your master can heal Ninth Master's hand?!"

"I have already reviewed the relevant information about Master Pei's injuries. Even if I were to perform this surgery, I could only guarantee the restoration of 60% of the hand's function!"

Do you know how important a person's right hand is?

Ye Ningwan had no intention of letting the old man continue lecturing her; she hated people who liked to lecture others the moment they met.

He has too much of a fatherly air about him.

She forcefully interrupted Jiang Qingmiao.

"Pei Fengzhi's hand can regain 100% of its function."

Jiang Qingmiao stared wide-eyed and spoke resolutely without much thought.

"That's impossible!"

“All the tendons in his hand were severed. If another doctor had performed the surgery, the hand would have been completely ruined. I can only manage to restore 60% of the hand's function at my limit! Absolutely no one in the world can achieve a complete recovery!”

Ye Ningwan didn't waste any words with him, and simply asked a question.

"What if my master does it?"

Jiang Qingmiao pursed her lips and remained silent.

His students naturally sided with their teacher and immediately called out to Ye Ningwan.

"Even my master said it's impossible. You don't understand medicine at all, so what right do you have to speak up!"

Ye Ningwan glanced at Jiang Qingmiao with a half-smile and sneered coldly.

“If my master does it, I won’t make things difficult for you. You just need to become my apprentice, call me ‘master’ in front of everyone here, and become my master’s grand-disciple.”

Before Jiang Qingmiao could say anything, her student's face turned a deep purplish-red, and he yelled at Ye Ningwan, his face flushed red.

"You've gone too far, woman!"

Ye Ningwan scoffed lightly.

"Shut up! Did I even speak to you? Go ask your teacher first!"

She then looked down at Jiang Qingmiao.

"Dr. Jiang, are you still planning to hide behind your students and let them stand up for you?"

Jiang Qingmiao's face turned pale and then red after being confronted by Ye Ningwan. It took her a long time to calm down before she questioned Ye Ningwan.

"I can bet with you, but what if you lose?"

Ye Ning smiled.

"If I lose, my master and I will both retire from the medical field and never treat anyone again!"

Jiang Qingmiao's eyes lit up.

Whether Ye Ningwan becomes a doctor or not is of no concern to him; what matters is that charlatan known as the "Medical Immortal"!

He asked, somewhat uneasy.

"Can you really make decisions for your master?"

Ye Ningwan nodded confidently.

"Don't worry, my master will listen to everything I say!"

She rolled her eyes and pointed at Pei Fengzhi.

"If you don't believe me, ask Pei Fengzhi."

Jiang Qingmiao turned back to look at Pei Fengzhi with a puzzled expression.

Pei Fengzhi was the only one here who knew that Ye Ningwan was the Immortal Physician, but since she wanted to present herself as the Immortal Physician's closed-door disciple, he naturally helped her keep it a secret.

Pei Fengzhi nodded to Jiang Qingmiao.

"Don't worry, Mr. Jiang. If Wanwan loses, I will absolutely not protect her. Don't you trust me?"

Jiang Qingmiao was naturally aware of Pei Fengzhi's credibility.

He turned to Ye Ningwan and said, "I'll take this bet with you!"

He was extremely confident.

After all, he had been a doctor for decades, and his specialty was hand surgery. He could diagnose any hand problem with just one glance.

The documents that Old Master Pei brought earlier clearly showed that Pei Fengzhi's hand was beyond saving.

Ye Ningwan naturally knew what Jiang Qingmiao was thinking, and nodded towards Jiang Qingmiao.

"To avoid any misunderstanding, Dr. Jiang, would you like to come yourself?"

Jiang Qingmiao pushed everyone aside and stood by the hospital bed. Pei Fengzhi cooperated by raising his wrist towards him. Jiang Qingmiao glanced at the messy bandages on Pei Fengzhi's hand, frowned unhappily, and snorted coldly.

Who put on these bandages?

Pei Fengzhi smiled without saying a word, while his assistant glanced at Ye Ningwan unconsciously.

Jiang Qingmiao also turned to look at Ye Ningwan, snorted coldly, and said irritably.

"You can't even tie a basic bandage, let alone be a doctor, you're not even fit to be a nurse!"

Ye Ningwan shrugged.

"As your apprentice, all you need to do is know how to tie things up. I don't need to know everything."

Jiang Qingmiao glared at Ye Ningwan and shut her mouth.

He believed that Ye Ningwan was no match for him in medicine, but when it came to arguing, the difference between him and Ye Ningwan was like that between an elementary school student and a Nobel Prize winner.

Hmph, he wouldn't stoop to the level of a woman who only knows how to talk. Let's see who's the real deal when it comes to medical technology!

As Jiang Qingmiao thought this, she unwrapped the gauze from Pei Fengzhi's hand, glanced at the stitches, and gave a dismissive comment.

"It was decent, and meticulous, but unfortunately, the hesitation when it came to execution led to a poor result."

"Furthermore, why choose such fine threads? What if the thread breaks? And you claim you're not ignorant? Would someone knowledgeable use cosmetic sutures to stitch up a wound on their palm?"

When Jiang Qingmiao said the first sentence, Ye Ningwan had no objection. After all, it was Jiang Yinglin who sewed the stitches, and it had nothing to do with her.

But Jiang Qingmiao's next sentence was full of disdain and sarcasm. Ye Ningwan rolled her eyes at him and retorted.
