Chapter 478: Extra Encounter (No Logic in the Book)
The candlelight flickered, and Lin Miaoyin felt dizzy in the haze.
Her consciousness seemed to be shrouded in a veil, and her thoughts were too sticky to stir.
The body sank into the soft quilt, and the rich fragrance of ambergris lingered at the tip of the nose.
She tried hard to open her eyes, but she only saw a tall silhouette outside the green gauze tent approaching the bed.
"Hmm..."
The moment the figure lifted the veil, a hot breath rushed towards her. The man's lean body pressed down with scalding heat, burning her and making her shiver.
Lin Miaoyin's confused brain was barely functioning - the touch was too real to be a dream.
A large hand with thin calluses touched her waist, causing a patch of tiny bumps.
She subconsciously wanted to retreat, but he held her tighter in his arms. The unfamiliar masculine scent enveloped her, strong and irresistible.
"Wait, wait a minute..." She finally found her voice, but it was incredibly soft.
The man paused, and his low, hoarse voice exploded in her ears: "Isn't this what you want?"
Lin Miaoyin trembled all over and suddenly opened her eyes wide.
With the flickering candlelight, she finally saw the man on top of her - sharp eyebrows, starry eyes, a nose like a hanging gall bladder, and thin lips tightly pressed into a sharp line.
This face looks so familiar!
She pushed the person away, and the man's disgusted voice fell on her head.
"Lin Miaoyin, you really disgust me! If the Queen hadn't threatened me with her portrait, I would never have touched you!
"You, You?" She blurted out the nickname that only belonged to the three-year-old Beigong You.
The man's pupils suddenly contracted, and the hand that was pinching her chin suddenly tightened: "What did you call me?"
Lin Miaoyin then realized what she had said, and in panic she raised her hand to press against his strong chest: "No, I mean..."
Before she could finish her words, Beigong You suddenly leaned over, his eyes red, and kissed her lips hard.
I haven't seen her since she disappeared more than ten years ago.
Thinking of what she had said before, Beigong You deepened the kiss with a strong sense of longing.
The kiss was irresistibly domineering, yet it became unusually gentle when it touched her soft lips.
There was a loud "bang" in Lin Miaoyin's head, and all her rationality was shattered.
Too exciting! She thought vaguely that this must be a dream. She was just reading the extra chapter of the medical concubine novel. It must be a dream like last time, but this dream was too real.
Since we are in a dream, why not indulge ourselves a little?
Her bare hands climbed onto the man's broad shoulders, and she awkwardly responded to the kiss, her fingertips accidentally brushing the scar on the back of his neck. Beigong You froze, then explored her lips and teeth more deeply, his big palm wandering along her slender waistline, igniting clusters of flames.
"Behave well and I'll call on you next time." Lin Miaoyin playfully tapped the tip of his nose while taking a breath, completely treating the person in front of her as a product of a dream.
"Twelve years and seven months." His voice was as deep as the strings of a cello. "You are finally back, Miaoyin."
Lin Miaoyin gasped, and the drunkenness suddenly sobered up. She struggled to sit up, but Beigong You grabbed her wrist and pressed her back into the quilt. His strength was just right, not allowing her to resist, but also not hurting her.
"This is impossible..." she murmured, her eyes falling on the shallow scar on his left eyebrow - it was left when she accidentally knocked over the medicine jar when she was making medicine for him.
Beigong You chuckled, his warm breath spraying in her ears: "Back then you said that on my wedding night you would be the one I would spend my whole life with, and it turned out to be you, does it still count now?"
Lin Miaoyin's heart was beating like a drum and she felt dizzy, wondering if it was the shock of this sudden reunion.
She subconsciously tried to break free, but he rolled over and pinned her down.
"You..." Her voice trembled, "How did you recognize me?"
Beigong You's fingertips gently stroked the inside of her wrist, and his voice was sexy: "Your eyes, your voice, the tone when you called my name..."
His lips almost touched her earlobe. "I have never forgotten it in the past twelve years."
Lin Miaoyin felt a current running up from her spine to the top of her head.
She remembered the skinny little boy, remembered how she stayed by his side all night when he had a high fever, and remembered how tender and shy he was when he nestled in her arms.
But the man in front of him exuded a dangerous and charming aura, completely different from the one in his memory.
"You've grown up..." she whispered, her fingers unconsciously touching his face.
Beigong You grabbed her fingers and kissed them softly. Under the candlelight, his eyes were as deep as the sea, with undercurrents surging. "I have waited for this day for too long."
Lin Miaoyin's heart skipped a beat. She had made a joke that year, but he had remembered it for twelve years.
What's even more ridiculous is that, as fate would have it, she really traveled back in time again, and the first time they met was in this newlywed and ambiguous scene.
"Beigong You," she tried to regain some sanity, "Back then I was just..."
"Shh." He put his index finger against her lips. "Don't talk."
His lips suddenly pressed down, gently but firmly. Lin Miaoyin's mind was buzzing, and all her thoughts were messed up by this kiss. His breath was as clear as pine, but with a certain intoxicating fragrance that made her respond involuntarily.
When his hand reached into her collar and touched the sensitive skin on her waist, Lin Miaoyin suddenly woke up.
She pushed him away, gasping, "Wait! This is happening too fast!"
Beigong You's eyes flashed with hurt, but were quickly replaced by a smile: "Twelve years is just a moment for you, but it is a long wait for me." He propped himself up and looked down at her, "But I can wait."
Lin Miaoyin looked at his handsome face so close to her, her heart beating like a drum. She had never thought that she would meet Beigong You again in this way, and she had never thought that the boy back then had grown into such a charming man.
"I...I need time to adjust." She whispered.
Beigong You smiled slightly, and that smile was like a spring breeze blowing across the frozen lake, so gentle that it made people's heart tremble.
He gently tucked her scattered hair behind her ear: "I have waited for twelve years, a moment won't make a difference."
He turned over and got out of bed, his movements as graceful as flowing water. Lin Miaoyin then noticed that he was only wearing a thin white shirt, with the collar slightly open, revealing his well-defined collarbone and a small piece of solid chest.
"You want to leave?" she blurted out, then felt ashamed of her eagerness.
Beigong You looked back at her, with a mischievous light in his eyes: "Why, you can't bear to leave?"
Lin Miaoyin stared blankly at him as he sent someone to bring in bath water. The room was covered with wedding satin.
turn out to be...
Lin Miaoyin took a step back, feeling it was ridiculous. The novel she had read many years ago had already been completed, and the author had left it unfinished.
I have complained many times that the ending of the hero and heroine being together was too hasty, but I didn't expect that more than ten years later, I would travel through time and space?
Thinking of the plot in the book, Lin Miaoyin shuddered.
She would never let the resentful and complicated things in the book happen!
Lin Miaoyin looked towards the moonlight, and suddenly some images appeared in her mind. Memories flooded into her mind, and she closed her eyes in pain.
Lin Miaoyin woke up suddenly with the sound of gongs knocking. Lying beside her on the bed was Beigong You, whose face showed traces of time.
After waking up from a dream, everything has settled.
