"The script for the one about the mute woman singing was quite good; I even cried when I read it. But the one Ye Chu revised makes me feel heavy-hearted. It's painful to read, and I don't even want to recall it. Just thinking about Teacher Qi Ming's smile feels like a knife stabbing into my heart..."
-----------------
Shang Yechu didn't hear the whispers among the crew members, but she could sense that everyone's attitude towards her had become much friendlier. This was different from the previous respectful way they treated their sugar daddies; there were more smiles, and their eyes were filled with curiosity, inquiry, and even awe as they looked at Shang Yechu.
Qi Ming and veteran actor Li Zhenxiang were talking to Shang Yechu, their conversation conveying the same message: "Let's work together more in the future."
Actors who have acted for a long time can distinguish between good and bad performances. Being able to leave a mark on a good performance is never a bad thing for any actor. Needless to say, Qi Ming was grateful, and Li Zhenxiang was also grateful to Shang Yechu.
Shang Yechu smiled and dealt with the two seniors, then felt a wave of fatigue.
Writing a script, even a short one, is far too mentally taxing for Shang Yechu. It's much more tiring than acting.
After the excitement and joy subsided, a slight fatigue followed. Shang Yechu wanted to rest for a while, so she walked back to her seat.
As Shang Yechu approached the chair, she noticed Sheng Wenzhi engrossed in something. Upon closer inspection, she realized that Sheng Wenzhi was flipping through the notebook where Shang Yechu had written biographical sketches.
Shang Yechu immediately felt a surge of displeasure and snatched the notebook away: "Sheng Wenzhi, why haven't you changed this habit yet? How many years has it been, and you still look at my things without permission?"
There's nothing private about a biography; what Shang Yechu couldn't stand was Sheng Wenzhi's long-standing bad habit.
When Shang Yechu was in junior high school, he would often come up with some very imaginative sentences in his essays (which were actually just nonsensical ramblings), and it was common for him to get ten or twenty points. Sheng Wenzhi would often take away Shang Yechu's test papers or weekly journals without asking him a single question, and go and read those ridiculous sentences.
Of all Sheng Wenzhi's shortcomings, this was the one Shang Yechu found most unbearable. Whether the other party's intention was to learn or to mock, it was still an offense.
Even the kind-hearted Shang Yechu from junior high school would have been furious and argued with Sheng Wenzhi when she did something like this, let alone Shang Yechu now.
Sheng Wenzhi's hands were suddenly empty, but she didn't immediately look up; instead, she froze.
Shang Yechu impatiently prepared to stuff the notebook back into her bag when she suddenly saw Sheng Wenzhi raise her head and stare at her with a direct gaze.
What's wrong?
Shang Yechu felt uneasy under that gaze and subconsciously frowned: "What's wrong with you now?"
Sheng Wenzhi stared blankly at Shang Yechu, her gaze traveling from Shang Yechu's face to her body, down to her toes, and finally settling back on Shang Yechu's face.
Her gaze was curious, like scrutiny or recording, as if she were seeing Shang Yechu for the first time.
"Tsk." Shang Yechu felt increasingly strange. "If you don't tell me, I'm leaving."
Suddenly, Sheng Wenzhi jumped up from her chair and snatched the notebook from Shang Yechu's hand!
"Are you crazy?" Shang Yechu subconsciously reached for the notebook, only to see Sheng Wenzhi open the notebook, pull out a fountain pen from her pocket, uncap it, and start writing directly on Shang Yechu's notebook!
Unlike ballpoint pens, fountain pens didn't produce ink after Sheng Wenzhi made two strokes. In frustration, she scribbled several lines on the paper, tearing the notebook pages.
The other party's neurotic behavior made Shang Yechu afraid to move anymore. Sheng Wenzhi's current state was very similar to when she jumped into the lake. Shang Yechu was really afraid that she would stab herself to death with a pen.
The pen finally started writing, and Sheng Wenzhi couldn't wait to scribble a few big characters on the paper before shoving the notebook in front of Shang Yechu's eyes.
Shang Yechu was so startled by Sheng Wenzhi's erratic behavior that she instinctively jumped back, feeling as if she had witnessed a madwoman suddenly going berserk. To be honest, Sheng Wenzhi's antics were even crazier than those of a mute old woman.
Upon closer inspection, three large, flamboyant characters were written on the paper, with crisscrossing marks from the pen strokes, giving them a somewhat menacing appearance.
"It is widely known."
This is……
Sheng Wenzhi stared intently at Shang Yechu and said in a distorted voice, "This is my name."
