Xie An's acting was inconsistent, sometimes good and sometimes bad. Xiao Fengque, on the other hand, remained consistently good.
I'd give it an 8.4. The plot is tight and faithful to the original novel, and it fills in the plot holes. The actors' performances are near perfect. I'm deducting one point for the costumes and props, and 0.6 points for Xie An's fake smile at the end.
I didn't have time to watch it last night because I was working overtime. What do you think of the chemistry between Ah Feng and Xie An? I'm a big fan of Sanwu.
