Chapter 312 Preliminary Preparations (1/2)

Only with a well-defined script can the right actors be selected.

The copyright contract with Sheng Wenzhi was quickly signed. After completing this task, Sheng Wenzhi immediately went into seclusion and began revising the script.

Shang Yechu was worried that Sheng Wenzhi wouldn't write a good script on his first try, so she sent him many standard scripts for reference. This was to prevent him from writing long passages of inner monologues or environmental descriptions that were impossible to film.

After settling Sheng Wenzhi in, Shang Yechu began the first casting process.

The film has a small cast, and Shang Yechu drew up an outline, listing the main and secondary characters:

The first character, the protagonist, "I," gender unknown, is a student who has just finished the college entrance examination.

The second person is male, a hoodlum. Unemployed, occasionally doing odd jobs, grew up on the streets. He has a low level of education, a reckless, carefree, and roguish personality.

The third person is male, a child prodigy, and an amateur programmer. He possesses strong computational skills and creative thinking. Exceptionally gifted, he enjoys challenging the rules.

Fourth, female, white-collar worker, calm and rational, cautious in personality, and conservative in her actions. She strictly adheres to rules and is skilled at negotiation.

The fifth is a woman of unknown profession, whose mysterious and enigmatic behavior makes her difficult to understand. (She is actually a female ghost.)

The protagonist, "I," is undoubtedly Shang Yechu, and there are four other main characters.

When Sheng Wenzhi wrote this novel, he did not name these characters. Therefore, Shang Yechu had to temporarily use their professions to represent them, based on the original work.

According to the novel, the casting should be four young men and women. Shang Yechu first typed Zhuang Sheng's name into the form. Zhuang Sheng's appearance was the best in Qingping Entertainment, and male beauty was one of the film's selling points, so having him play a good-looking but reckless vase was perfect.

The remaining three… Shang Yechu recalled the small fry at Qingping Entertainment. She'd been too busy filming lately to watch their work. However, based on her memories from her previous life, several of Qingping Entertainment's soon-to-be superstars had already fallen into Ji Juntao's clutches. Since they were destined for stardom, their acting skills probably wouldn't be too bad.

Shang Yechu recalled several names that left the deepest impression on him: Bian He, Meng Yun, Liu Zhaoye, Zhao Nannan... and typed them in one by one.

My phone chimed, and when I opened it, I saw that Ji Juntao had sent me the schedules of all the company's artists.

Upon opening it, Shang Yechu felt a chill run down her spine—the table was incredibly detailed! It even listed which makeup and hairstyle suited which celebrity best. It was less of a schedule and more of a preliminary assessment report.

Import the spreadsheet into the computer and search for the names of Zhuang Sheng and others. After compiling the results, Shang Yechu couldn't help but feel a little worried.

Gold shines wherever it is, and it will shine no matter what lifetime it takes. Those rising stars in Shang Yechu's memory already have quite a few schedules booked. Except for Zhuang Sheng, who's still picking his toes.

Although Ji Juntao said that if Shang Yechu wanted, he could even get artists from Qingping Entertainment to work for her even if they were filming, Ji Juntao could say that, but Shang Yechu couldn't actually do it. Ruining someone's schedule and using them as stepping stones was too unethical; it could easily create a deadly enmity.

With a sense of regret, Shang Yechu crossed out all the names except for Zhuang Sheng.
