The team behind "The Rules Grocery Store" is finally settled.
Gu Wenhua was working diligently as an editor on Gao Sanfu's film set, but his sudden departure to direct a movie was bound to upset Gao Sanfu. It was Ji Juntao who used his mother's connections to get in touch with this renowned director. No one knows how Mr. Ji managed to persuade Gao Sanfu, but somehow he managed to win him over, making Gao Sanfu not only avoid a falling out with Gu Wenhua but also happily sharing many of his filming secrets with him…
Shang Yechu was listening nearby, and his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
At this point, everything was ready except for the final step. As is customary, director Gu Wenhua should personally review the actors selected by Shang Yechu for a second round of auditions. Only after all the main actors were finalized would a script reading be held.
As for the pre-production publicity, that's the job of Qingping Entertainment's publicity department, and it's not within the scope of the production team's business.
To Shang Yechu's surprise, Gu Wenhua neither rushed to see the actors nor discussed publicity strategies with Ji Juntao. Instead, he locked himself in his apartment and spent three days engrossed in reading the script.
The apartment was rented for Gu Wenhua by Ji Juntao to facilitate his work in Hengshi. Unlike Sheng Wenzhi, Gu Wenhua was a self-sufficient adult and didn't need Shang Yechu to constantly urge him to finish his work. All Shang Yechu could do was ask Aunt Song to prepare meals on time every day and then deliver them to Gu Wenhua.
Furthermore, since the filming of the "Xiao Feng Que" series wrapped up, Shang Ye Chu hasn't appeared on the internet for several months. The public has almost forgotten she even exists. Ji Jun Tao has repeatedly urged Shang Ye Chu to quickly go online and become a fan of Mei Mei Fan, lest the last few remaining loyal followers disappear.
This disagreement has a long history. Although Shang Yechu isn't very famous, she has quite a bit of arrogance typical of actresses. She firmly believes that actors should rely on their work to retain fans; what kind of work is it to post selfies online every day? No one can discern acting skills or storytelling from a few close-up photos.
Of course, complete disappearance is impossible. Both Ye Chu Studio and Ye Chu Global Fan Club accounts are managed by Qingping Entertainment, whose experienced operations department occasionally releases some content. Unfortunately, due to Ye Chu's refusal to cooperate, the inventory is almost depleted, which is why Ji Juntao is so anxious.
After logging into Weibo, which she hadn't opened in a long time, Shang Yechu first switched to her alternate account. She clicked on @YechuStudio's Weibo account to check on things.
The latest Weibo post from Ye Chu Studio is about Ye Chu's schedule in May.
[@Leaves Studio: May is the height of spring, and the weather is gradually getting warmer~ [flower][flower] Little Shrub is here with @Leaves' May itinerary~]
Ye Chu is the name of her fans, Ye Ya, while the studio's operations team is nicknamed Xiao Guanshu (Little Shrub).
The accompanying photo on this Weibo post is of Shang Yechu wearing a white dress with a floral pattern, facing the wind, closing her eyes, and striking a classic Titanic pose on the lawn.
The photos were so heavily retouched that Shang Yechu had to rack her brains to remember that they were taken when she had just signed with Qingping Entertainment. Back then, Shang Yechu's face looked quite different from it now, which is why the studio had to resort to such extensive retouching.
Although the photos are beautiful full-body shots, the itinerary is very simple. It only contains one line:
[Filming took place from May 1st to May 31st]
Shang Yechu had seen other celebrities' schedules. Generally speaking, celebrities with higher popularity have very full schedules. Between certain dates are "variety show recordings," between other dates are "commercial shoots," between other dates are "magazine shoots," and there are also photo shoots, offline events, brand live streams, and so on. They also sometimes have filming commitments, but as celebrities, they are always incredibly busy. Even during filming, it's common for them to take time off to shoot a variety show or commercial.
Shang Yechu continued scrolling down and saw the schedule for April.
The schedule for April is even more pitiful:
[April 1st - April 30th, additional recording and filming.]
The schedule for March is a bit better. In addition to "reshoots and re-filming," there's also "filming," so it finally doesn't feel so lonely. Before that, it's all "filming."
Looking at the content posted by her studio, Shang Yechu had to admit that she had done far too little work online.
Below the schedule for May, the leaf buds are engaged in a fierce battle:
@Ye Xiaoxiao - Reincarnated Spirit Child No. 39: [Has my sister joined another production? [Longing]]
@Xiao Fengque was turned into a stomach-soothing rainy night by big eyes: [Why did you join this group? Can you at least tell your fans? [bow] I'm always clueless. [bow] Stop posting those same old 'beauty' photos every day. [bow]]
@GuanshanNanyue: [Drama promotion! Drama promotion! Drama promotion! No promotional material for "Tianban" since filming began! No promotional material for "Tianban" since filming began! No promotional material for "Tianban" since filming began!]
@Yejianfeng: 【Take good care of Ye Chu.】
@初初的叶尖星: [When will you post a selfie, sister? [pity]]
@JiaYezi-Tianban: [My sister's birthday is in three months, when are you going to deal with those trolls on the square? Asking you to sue them is harder than killing them [tired]. Is Ji Juntao dead yet? If not, come out and give an explanation. Stop letting your bunch of good-for-nothing bastards in your company leech off my sister every day, okay?]
