The first trailer released by Ruguan TV uses poetic montage and image editing techniques. No characters appear directly from beginning to end. The entire trailer consists of only a pool of water and objects that appear and disappear in the water.

Using objects as carriers of information, only opening a crack in the door for the audience to peek into the world—this is a very restrained approach, extremely rare in Chinese dramas.

Of course, while rare, the overall quality of the trailer is exceptionally high. Ruguang TV, with its deep pockets, managed to elevate this one-minute trailer to a cinematic quality. The visuals are elegant and serene, like a cool rain shower.

When Shang Yechu first saw this trailer three days ago, she was immediately impressed. The song "Farewell" in the trailer was specially recorded by Xu Hanwen from a children's singing class. Although the singer was tone-deaf and had a childish voice, it was surprisingly fitting here.

As for the few lines of dialogue after the black screen, that was Shang Yechu's arduous journey. She recorded those few lines no less than ten times during re-recording. Even the voice director was satisfied, but Xu Hanwen still wouldn't give his approval. In the end, the voice director practically knelt before Xu Hanwen.

Fortunately, all the hard work was worth it. Just by looking at the quality of this trailer, Shang Yechu had already glimpsed the full picture of the production of "Half of the Sky," and her previously anxious heart was now half relieved.

Clicking into the comments section, it was exactly the same as always. The "Climbing Ivy Sister" (a nickname for a female internet celebrity) occupied half—or perhaps nine-tenths—of the comments.

The top-rated comment, "Shi Shan's Little Tiger Claw," was a regular at controlling online comments, always at the forefront of controlling the narrative and insulting Shang Ye Chu. Shang Ye Chu was quite familiar with her. But this time seemed different. Little Tiger Claw usually used meticulously edited photos of Shi Shan as her profile picture, but today it was a white background with gold lettering. Upon closer inspection, Shang Ye Chu saw a large character "只" (only) written on a white background with subtle floral patterns.

What program is this?

Shang Yechu slid down and saw that the second most popular comment, "There is sweet oxygen on the mountaintop," had also changed its profile picture to the same white background with gold lettering. However, the content on the profile picture was different. The word on the sweet oxygen profile picture was a huge "期" (period).

Scrolling down further, Shang Yechu suddenly realized. It turned out that controlling the comments was one thing, but the "Climbing Ivy Sisters" had also changed their profile pictures to the same ones! A string of large-character profile pictures, when strung together, formed the phrase, "Only looking forward to the only male lead in Tianban, Shi Shan Li Ru Hui!"

Given that "Half a Sky" is a female-centric drama with such a unique subject matter, Shi Shan's fans, if they had any common sense, shouldn't have reacted so strongly. It seems they've lost their temper due to their recent feud with Ye Ya.

Shang Yechu shook her head and chuckled, skillfully scrolling down to find Ye Ya's whereabouts. With a swipe of her finger, the page refreshed, and a familiar name came into view.

@DesperateAbandonedWomanReborn: [Looking forward to Shi Shan's portrayal of Li Yiming's little helper, Li Ruhui! Looking forward to Shi Shan's portrayal of Li Yiming's caring younger brother, Li Ruhui! Looking forward to Shi Shan's portrayal of Li Yiming's virtuous wife, Li Ruhui!]

For some reason, the comment about the desperate abandoned woman was also liked and became a top comment, and unfortunately, it was stuck between the two profile pictures of the "time" and "mountain" of the climbing ivy sisters.

The profile picture of the desperate abandoned woman is a screenshot of Emperor Pingzhao, played by Shang Yechu, except that the emperor's dragon crown has been photoshopped into a green hat. Shang Yechu has been both amused and exasperated by this profile picture for a long time, always considering it a fan's unconventional taste. Now, this bright green hat sandwiched between "Shi" and "Shan" has turned the carefully orchestrated comment control by the fans into "Only looking forward to the only male lead in Tianban, Shi Lushan"—it's really too much of a show.

Shang Yechu burst out laughing.

Shang Yechu vaguely remembered that the Desperate Abandoned Woman seemed to be quite wealthy. Last time, she even held a grand giveaway to celebrate slapping the faces of her and Li Yi's CP fans (Shang Yechu was shocked by the existence of this CP). Perhaps she paid for likes to boost her popularity.
