Chapter 35 A Smile Makes You Ten Years Younger (2/2)

The extracurricular program includes a social work credit, requiring students to complete a work internship before graduation. Since the infamous extracurricular program came into existence, these two credits have been a nightmare for all students. Students have to beg and plead, pull strings and ask for favors, or search high and low for any possible job. Even positions like waiters at the milk tea shop near the school are in high demand.

Li Kui has already signed a formal employment contract with Zheng Bohan, which means she already has work experience and doesn't have to worry about internships like her unfortunate classmates.

Li Kui thought of his 100,000 yuan film fee.

One hundred thousand yuan is enough for Li Kui to prepare for the postgraduate entrance examination in a carefree and happy manner. Even if he stays at home, he won't have to be criticized by his parents.

Li Kui's eyes gradually became incredibly sweet, her gaze still fixed on the gourd, but her thoughts had already drifted far away.

"Hehe...hehe..."

A joyful laugh escaped Li Kui's lips, filled with her anticipation for a bright future.

Zheng Bohan, who was watching from the sidelines, couldn't sit still any longer.

A woman in palace attire sat beneath a tree strewn with fallen blossoms. Though her face was no longer young (due to makeup), her eyes were still brimming with childlike innocence.

She gazed intently at the emerald green gourd, occasionally letting out a strange laugh. Her smile was innocent and pure, without a trace of impurity, yet the whole scene exuded an indescribable eeriness.

Li Kui thought through all the happiest moments of her life, and finally heard that heavenly "click!"

Zheng Bohan stared at Li Kui's face, his expression complex. He even began to wonder if Li Kui truly possessed some kind of acting talent, and wasn't just a silly girl who could only laugh?

"Passed."

"Yay!" Li Kui jumped high and launched himself off the chair!

Zheng Bohan didn't blame her for her rashness; in fact, he added, "You did a good job."

The crew members all looked like they had seen a ghost.

Director Zheng has had a furrowed brow every day since the first day of filming, as if everyone in the crew owes him two million. And today, surprisingly, he praised someone?

-----

Shang Yechu was taking a nap whenever she could when she suddenly felt her body being shaken violently.

As soon as Shang Yechu opened her eyes, she saw Li Kui standing in front of her and exclaimed in delight, "Yezi, I passed!"

"Yes, I saw it." Shang Yechu opened her eyes wide and patted her shoulder encouragingly. "You're amazing."

Before the two could exchange more than a few words, a familiar voice suddenly interrupted.

"Hello!"

When Shang Yechu looked up, she was surprised to see that the person who had come was Su Ge!

Su Ge looked down at Shang Yechu, chin raised, and said, "Hey. I heard from Li Kui that she acted so well because you taught her?"

Li Kui, what a big mouth!

Shang Yechu glared at Li Kui, who returned a clear look with the naiveté typical of college students.

Su Ge was reprimanded ten times by Zheng Bohan that morning, while Li Kui passed on the first try and even received praise from Zheng Bohan. Thinking a little cynically, it's possible the other party is just looking for trouble.

It's no wonder Shang Yechu thought this way. Other celebrities might cherish their reputation and not bother with extras and minor actors. But Su Ge obviously can't be understood with normal thinking.

Shang Yechu was somewhat helpless, and was thinking of how to get out of this when she saw Su Ge suddenly extend a hand to her.

Su Ge held up a cup of ice cream, her face showing an awkward expression, as if she had never done such a thing before.

"Could you teach me too?"
