Chapter 357 The First Plant Battle (Part 2) (1/2)

The Weibo post quickly garnered numerous comments.

Shang Yechu is no longer the same person she used to be; she no longer gets easily surprised by trending topics on Weibo. She turns off her phone and continues testing the demo unit provided by Renxing.

Since Shang Yechu hasn't officially accepted the endorsement yet, Renxing hasn't sent a product manager or technical staff for one-on-one explanations, only providing a user experience document. By referring to the instructions in the document, Shang Yechu can fully experience the product's functions.

This process was undoubtedly tedious, but Shang Yechu still meticulously tested every single point mentioned in the document, repeating the process three times on three different phones.

Today, "Rules Street" is filming night scenes, and Shang Yechu is scheduled for the latter half of the night. Logically, she should be using the precious daytime hours to rest. But for Shang Yechu, testing product quality is equally important.

After two hours of work, the phone felt pretty good in hand, with no major flaws. But Shang Yechu was still uneasy. Few people constantly check and compare a phone's various parameters and functions; the feel in hand during daily use is the most important thing.

Shang Yechu is usually quite busy and hasn't researched electronic products much. So, based on her preconceived notions, she downloaded more than a dozen large games in one go, and then opened and played them one by one to see if the Renxing phone could run them smoothly.

Most games aren't very fun at the beginning. Shang Yechu's original intention was to test the phone's performance; he would basically exit the game after the beginner's experience, leave it in the background, and open another phone.

Try it out, and a game called "Eat Candy Every Day" caught Shang Yechu's attention.

Su Ge's online name is "Eat Candy Every Day".

"Everyday Candy" features a lively and adorable art style with fresh, soft, and harmonious colors, making the candies in the pictures look incredibly tempting. It's certainly not a large-scale game; it's just that Shang Yechu was intrigued when she saw its promotional tagline, "I heard even people with an IQ of 150 can't pass the second level!" and downloaded it on a whim.

"Everyday Candy" is a match-3 game, but with many variations on the traditional match-3 format. Eliminating candies produces pleasant eating sounds. Different candies produce different sounds; for example, hard candy makes a "crunch," shortbread makes a "rustle," soft candy makes a "squeak," hard chocolate makes a "crunch," and soft chocolate makes a gentle "chuchu." These sounds naturally relax the player.

The first level was very simple; Shang Ye cleared it up in no time.

False advertising in the gaming industry is getting worse and worse. And this is only 150...

The second page popped up, and Shang Yechu's rant came to an abrupt halt.

A giant, colorful mountain of candy appears on the screen, with bouncy candies constantly tumbling down from above, forming a slowly flowing, rainbow-colored river. Every now and then, a few cute little birds fly overhead, pecking the candies away with their beaks; squirrels occasionally leap from the trees, scratching the candies away with their claws; and lines of adorable ants crawl on the ground, working together to carry the candy away.

A prompt appears on the screen:

Match the candies to eliminate them!

P.S.: The candies will move on their own, and the animals will also mess up the order of the candies when they are carrying them.

P.S.: Candy is an important resource in the forest. The game automatically ends when the animals steal 10% of the candy. So, while eliminating candy, try to retrieve as much candy as possible from the animals!

103 suddenly said, "I advise you not to play this game."

Shang Yechu paused, her finger about to touch the screen: "Why?"

Is it a virus? A scam? Harmful to your health?

"This game is very addictive," 103 said coldly. "Don't blame me for not warning you."

103 could have said anything else, but upon hearing this, Shang Yechu scoffed: "You think I'm addicted to games?"

Is she such a person who lacks self-control?

"..." 103 said, "Fine, whatever you want."

Two hours later.

"Hey!"

Shang Yechu angrily slammed her fist on the sofa, so angry that she almost threw her phone on the ground.

A giant crying face pops up on the game screen: [The animals have stolen a lot of candy! Start over and take the candy back from them!]

Shang Yechu had never played such an infuriating game! She had lost count of how many times she had played the second level, and every time the animals would steal everything from her!

Intending to play another round, Shang Yechu glanced at the time on another phone and shuddered.

It's already so late!

Shang Yechu exited the game interface, her heart still pounding, and moved her finger to the giant candy icon before clicking uninstall. This game was terrifying—Shang Yechu's mind was now filled with flowing colors and candy.

"How do you know I would—" Admitting that she lacked self-control was a shameful thing, Shang Yechu quickly changed her words, "How do you know this game is addictive?"

103 chuckled. The chuckle perfectly mimicked the tone of Shang Yechu's voice when she said, "Do you think I'll become addicted to games?" It almost made Shang Yechu furious.

"The color scheme, sound effects, rhythm, and visuals are all ingenious tricks," 103 said calmly. "You should get some sleep."

There's still filming tonight, so I really need to get some rest. Shang Yechu reluctantly put Renxing's phone back where it belonged, yawned, and prepared to go back to her bedroom.

Just then, Shang Yechu's phone screen suddenly lit up.

It was a WeChat message from Shang Yechu's assistant, Xiao Wang. Upon opening it, Xiao Wang's tone was rather sarcastic:

[Sister Ye, you've started talking to Di Ting?]

? ? ?

Xiao Wang's account was hacked? What's gotten into him all of a sudden?

Shang Yechu typed a question mark in response.

Xiao Wang replied: 【Go check it out on Weibo.】

An ominous premonition swept through Shang Yechu's heart. Instead of rushing to sleep, she quickly opened Weibo and clicked into the comment section of her latest post.

The Weibo post saying "The weather is nice today" had already garnered over 60,000 comments. Shang Yechu glanced at the post again; it was all just ordinary selfies, and the captions were fine. Besides, she'd been busy filming and promoting her movie lately, so she hadn't really given paparazzi any opportunities to take pictures.
