"What's going on? Boss, we clearly made the reservation first!"
Zheng Bohan's usually expressionless face flushed crimson. "I even paid your deposit! What do you mean by this?"
The pasture owner looked embarrassed. "Well... Teacher Zheng, why don't you come another day?"
"The filming schedule was all set!" Zheng Bohan was furious. "Postponing it for a month, wouldn't that create chaos!"
"The Tale of Yun Qing" was originally a makeshift production, and in order to compete head-to-head with "The Legend of Qing Yun," the filming schedule was extremely tight. They even had to squeeze out every single day.
The owner of this grassland can talk a good game, but the crew members will suffer a lot!
Fu Yu, standing nearby, advised, "Old Zheng, sigh, Old Zheng! Each generation is worse than the last. Back in our day..."
Qin Tianye held Zheng Bohan back and stepped forward, saying amicably, "Boss Dai, could you give us a reason? This place isn't close to the city center. We've already come all this way, it wouldn't be right to send us away completely bewildered, would it?"
The crew endured a bumpy two-hour bus ride, leaving some of the less physically robust staff and actors pale-faced. Moreover, a three-day shooting schedule was considerable, and everyone had brought their own personal belongings and changes of clothes, making it incredibly inconvenient.
Boss Dai's expression became even more awkward, his eyes darting around uncertainly. "It's just not very convenient. Not very convenient..."
Even Qin Tianye, known for his good temper, was speechless at his stammering. What did he mean by "not convenient"? There's nothing inconvenient under the sun!
Just then, a young man carrying a large bag hurriedly ran towards the gate of the meadow. Zheng Bohan, with his sharp eyes, recognized him and immediately called out, "Luo Da!"
The young man named Luo Da subconsciously stopped in his tracks, turned around and saw Zheng Bohan. His face immediately lit up with surprise and delight: "Teacher Zheng!"
Luo Da ran towards Zheng Bohan carrying a large bag. "Teacher Zheng, what are you doing here?"
“That’s what I should be asking you.” Zheng Bohan glanced at Luo Da. “What are you doing here? What are you carrying on your back?”
Luo Da said breathlessly, "This is Wang Miyun's tent. It was just left on the car, and the stage manager asked me to come and get it."
"Wang Miyun?" Zheng Bohan suddenly realized something. "The crew of 'The Legend of Qingyun' is here?"
“Yes.” Luo Da nodded, then suddenly noticed a group of crew members following behind Zheng Bohan, and her face stiffened. “Teacher Zheng, you too—?”
Zheng Bohan didn't answer his question, but instead asked in return, "Wasn't 'The Legend of Qingyun' supposed to be filmed on the Qingjiang Grassland? Why is it filmed on the Dongcheng Grassland?"
Luo Da looked around and lowered his voice, saying, "September and October are the hottest months on the Qingjiang Grassland, and there are also many mosquitoes and poisonous insects. Some people in the crew can't stand it."
Fu Yu interjected, "Who can't stand it? Isn't it those young people? I knew it, each generation is worse than the last. Back in our day..."
Luo Da said awkwardly, "This was first brought up by Wang Miyun's agent."
The wealthy man's words came to an abrupt halt.
Luo Da whispered, "Then Qi Yan and Lu Yuxuan's agents also reported it to the production team. As a result, the trip to Qingjiang Grassland was canceled, and we came to Dongcheng Grassland instead."
Zheng Bohan said sternly, "Xu Hanwen is dead? He just watched? How many field investigations did we conduct together, how much sand did we blow across the grasslands, before we finally decided on Qingjiang!"
Startled, Luo Da quickly interrupted Zheng Bohan, "Teacher Zheng! This isn't something that Director Xu can decide alone in the crew."
"He doesn't have the final say?" Zheng Bohan sneered. "He was able to kick me out, and you're saying he doesn't have the final say?"
Luo Da was almost in tears. "Teacher Zheng, Teacher Zheng, Teacher Zheng—please say less. Director Xu is having a tough time too...you're not here—sigh, I won't say anything more."
