Chapter 446 The Spring Breeze Moved Your Long Hair~ (2/2)

Yang Huanyi paused, then said tactfully, "Ye Chu, my ribs hurt a lot."

Shang Yechu's face flushed, and she quickly loosened her grip. She was too nervous, clinging tightly to Yang Huanyi without considering whether he was comfortable.

"Hold on tight!"

With a click of the key, the engine roared to life. Shang Yechu blinked, and before she could even reply with a "hmm," she and Yang Huanyi had already sped away!

Yang Huanyi was driving so fast!

Shang Yechu was still stunned, utterly terrified. This had nothing to do with courage; it was purely a primal instinct to react to danger. Shang Yechu cried out, "Slow down!"

The wind whistled past his ears, carrying Shang Yechu's voice away until nothing remained. Yang Huanyi seemed not to have heard him: "What?"

"Slow down!" Shang Yechu didn't care whether Yang Huanyi was comfortable or not. He clung to Yang Huanyi's waist like an octopus, pressing his head tightly against her back, wishing he could burrow into Yang Huanyi's bones.

Yang Huanyi laughed loudly, "What's there to be afraid of? This is the first time I've ever given someone a ride on a motorcycle, VIP treatment!"

This is the first time I've ever driven this fast with someone on board!

Shang Yechu's vision went black, and her heart nearly leaped out of her chest. It was as if she could already see herself hanging from a tree branch.

Afraid of disturbing Yang Huanyi's concentration while driving, she didn't dare to say a word, keeping her mouth tightly shut, her hands already embedded in Yang Huanyi's stomach.

Had she known this would happen, Shang Yechu would have crawled to Zhao Cheng's former residence on her own two legs, even if it meant doing so. Yang Huanyi is still the same old Yang Huanyi, not taking the filming seriously at all. Ten days before filming started, he actually dared to take the lead actor on a high-speed car chase!

Yang Huanyi couldn't hear Shang Yechu's inner grumbling. Her long hair was blown by the strong wind, dancing wildly behind her and splashing onto Shang Yechu's face. A scent of minty shampoo wafted over, the same kind used on Shang Yechu's hair.

Shang Yechu pursed her lips tightly to avoid getting Yang Huanyi's hair in her mouth. Fortunately, the helmet covered half of her head, so the hair didn't poke her eyes. The black hair flew around Shang Yechu's head, and looking at it through the helmet's glass visor was like looking at seaweed through a petri dish.

Wrapped in seaweed, Shang Yechu recalled her childhood. Ji Ya had a small electric scooter, one of her few personal possessions. Shang Mengzhu, Shang Lingqiu, and Shang Jiayu had all enjoyed the back seat of the scooter. Only Shang Yechu hadn't. Because Ji Ya thought Shang Yechu was too heavy and would make it difficult for her to ride.

Now, when Shang Yechu thinks of Ji Ya, she feels nothing. It's like watching someone else's story through glass—like looking at Yang Huanyi's hair through a helmet right now. Shang Yechu had once fantasized about what it would feel like to sit on the back of Ji Ya's electric scooter, but now, sitting on Yang Huanyi's motorcycle, that childhood longing vanished instantly. All Shang Yechu wanted to do was abandon the vehicle and run away.

Shang Yechu recalled an old Hong Kong movie she had once watched. The male lead was a hoodlum, and the female lead was a good girl. The male lead rode a motorcycle, and the female lead sat behind him, her long hair flying in the wind. This was the most famous and romantic scene in the movie.

While watching the movie, Shang Yechu had found it quite romantic. She even felt a pang of sadness for their love story when the male lead died. But now, with Yang Huanyi, this scoundrel, taking her on a motorcycle and speeding away, that bit of romance and emotion vanished. Shang Yechu wasn't some innocent girl; she couldn't appreciate this kind of romance!

The car sped all the way to Zhao Cheng's former residence. Yang Huanyi wasn't lying; her driving skills were excellent. She navigated over a dozen sharp turns, navigating each one unscathed. Apart from Shang Yechu's heart, nothing else was damaged.

When they got off the bus, Shang Yechu's chest and Yang Huanyi's back were already damp with sweat. Shang Yechu glanced down and saw two wet handprints on Yang Huanyi's clothes near his stomach, and felt a wave of embarrassment wash over him.

Yang Huanyi tugged at her clothes: "Ye Chu, you're going to strangle my intestines."

"I'm sorry, Sister Yi." Shang Yechu took off her helmet. Yang Huanyi then realized that her hair was also soaked with sweat and stuck to her face.

Yang Huanyi felt a belated pang of guilt. For the past two years, she had been depressed, finding only pleasure in driving fast. Once she was on a motorcycle or sports car, she would become completely carried away. She had neglected Ye Chu.

Apologizing now would only make things more awkward. Yang Huanyi had no choice but to pretend not to hear: "It's okay, let's go inside first."
