The two girls momentarily showed disappointment, but it vanished in an instant. One of them chattered excitedly, "Is it a new drama? What is it this time? We watched your 'Xiao Feng Que,' it was amazing!"
Shang Yechu was initially incredulous that Taiwan would actually broadcast her TV dramas. "Half a Sky" had made such a fuss about the Nationalist government. Turns out it wasn't "Half a Sky," but rather the Xiao Fengque film series.
The air was so thick it was almost suffocating.
Shang Yechu's scalp tightened, and she quickly smiled, "Then you all should go and have a pleasant trip. I'll be back—"
"Hey," the girl said quickly when she saw Shang Yechu about to slip away, "Could you sign your name for us?"
"This is a small favor, of course." Shang Yechu nodded. She always carried a pen with her when she went out, just in case.
Taking a pen out of her pocket, Shang Yechu smiled and asked, "Where should I sign it?"
After fiddling around for a while, one of the girls took off her jacket, revealing a white T-shirt underneath, and held it up to Shang Yechu's eyes: "Here, here!"
Shang Yechu tested the pen in her palm; it was very oily. "What do you want to sign? Can I just write my name?"
The two girls chattered and whispered to each other for a while, then one of them said, "Let's sign: 'Wishing Yun Tianfang & Ming Xiaoyuan, forever together! — Ye Chu'"
The sky is clear and the dawn is bright.
Square, round.
The two names struck Shang Yechu's mind. She carefully examined the two girls' faces, a sudden realization washing over her, and she felt a surge of excitement at the coincidence of fate. Instead of writing, she asked, "Are you two also actresses?"
Yun Tianfang and Ming Xiaoyuan were stunned for a moment, then their expressions turned to surprise: "Oh! You actually knew? Sister Ye, you've seen our show?"
Shang Yechu couldn't help but laugh: "I've seen the movies you've acted in."
One of the girls covered her mouth and laughed, "Oh, Ye Chu, don't tease us. We've only ever played minor supporting roles, we've never acted in a movie!"
Shang Yechu stopped talking, took out a pen, and wrote the blessings the two girls wanted on the white T-shirt. He paused slightly when he wrote the words "forever together".
The two girls' eyes widened: "You actually spelled our names correctly without asking! People always misspell our names as 'Fang' and 'Yuan'!"
"Perhaps it's because we're destined to be together." Shang Yechu closed the cap of her pen. "I wish you a long and happy marriage."
The two girls giggled, covering their mouths. After laughing for a while, they exchanged a few words and finally said goodbye.
Yun Tianfang and Ming Xiaoyuan walked into the mansion, while Shang Yechu and Yang Huanyi walked out. The two couples passed each other by, gradually disappearing into the distance.
Stepping outside the scenic area, Shang Yechu looked back at the eerie high walls and deep courtyard. Recalling what she had seen inside the mansion and the two women from earlier, a strange feeling welled up inside her.
"sister."
Shang Yechu suddenly looked at Yang Huanyi.
Yang Huanyi could tell that Shang Yechu's mood had improved considerably after seeing those two people. Two fans signing autographs, really?
Just as he was wondering, he suddenly heard this sentence and couldn't help but say, "Hmm?"
Shang Yechu took a deep breath: "Let's kiss."
