On a weekday, the forest park was sparsely populated. Shang Yechu and Yang Huanyi ventured deeper and deeper into the forest, where few people ever ventured.
The two spat out their chewing gum, wrapped it up, and then stood in the forest looking at each other.
It was Yang Huanyi who spoke first: "Shall we begin?"
Shang Yechu hesitated for a moment. This should be her first kiss. Of course, in Shang Yechu's opinion, it was quite honorable for an actor to give up their first kiss for their acting career. However, she and Yang Huanyi were both heterosexual after all. What if they had an adverse reaction and vomited in the forest?
Yang Huanyi sized up Shang Yechu and forced a smile: "What, regretting it, Lele?"
Shang Yechu covered up her mistake by saying, "No, I was thinking that I don't have much experience with kissing."
“You don’t need to worry about that,” Yang Huanyi’s smile was more genuine this time. “I’ve filmed quite a few kissing scenes, I can teach you. Don’t you remember? Even your first on-screen kiss was with me.”
Yang Huanyi's poise and confidence made Shang Yechu seem narrow-minded. The last psychological barrier crumbled under Yang Huanyi's nonchalant gaze, and Shang Yechu held her breath, recklessly charging forward.
Yang Huanyi stiffened, then skillfully wrapped her arm around Shang Yechu's waist and pressed her against the tree.
Shang Yechu frowned. Since Zhao Lele was the one in unrequited love, she should be the one on the offensive in this relationship. It should be Zhao Lele who actively wanted to experiment on Lin Fengyu, not Lin Fengyu skillfully guiding her. Yang Huanyi was bringing her off-screen experience into the role again.
Shang Yechu slapped Yang Huanyi in dissatisfaction, unsurprisingly freezing Yang Huanyi in place. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Shang Yechu turned the tables, twisting his body and pinning Yang Huanyi against the tree trunk.
Yang Huanyi was indeed very experienced; at first, Shang Yechu was almost powerless to resist. However, she quickly became proficient through continuous learning.
The refreshing sweet scent of mint gum, the sound of the wind in the forest, the rustling of fallen leaves crunching underfoot...
The first kiss was short. The scene Shang Yechu had imagined—the two of them leaning against a tree trunk and vomiting—didn't happen. Yang Huanyi pushed Shang Yechu away a little and laughed, "Why are you acting like a puppy? That's not how you do it, you'll suffocate if you do that."
Shang Yechu pouted and, somewhat unconvinced, kissed him again.
The second kiss was long, so long that Yang Huanyi felt like her brain was suffocating. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the sun slowly sinking, and a flock of birds chirping and watching them from between the trees.
Yang Huanyi tried to push Shang Yechu away weakly, but to no avail. Left with no other option, she grabbed Shang Yechu's hair and forcibly pulled her away.
Shang Yechu grabbed Yang Huanyi's hand that was pulling her hair, somewhat smugly saying, "I can breathe now."
Yang Huanyi thought to herself, "That's me taking a breath; you didn't even get a feather out." She breathed in the fresh air, panting, without making a sound.
To prevent Shang Yechu from making a third comeback, Yang Huanyi put a hand on Shang Yechu's shoulder, creating some distance between them: "How are you feeling?"
Shang Yechu pondered for a moment, then said with some disappointment, "Not bad."
But it was just okay. There was absolutely no emotional surge, no hormonal rush, and no opening of a new world. It felt like a very comfortable experience; my heart beat healthily, but more than anything, it was the novelty of my first kiss and the thrill of conquest.
It's still two mountains away from being truly fanatical!
The only thing that reassured Shang Yechu was that neither she nor Yang Huanyi experienced any physical aversion, which was good.
"Not bad?" Yang Huanyi's face twitched. She had dated several men, but none of them had Shang Yechu's lung capacity. And in his mouth, it was just "not bad"?
Could it be that she's too old and no longer useful?
Shang Yechu's first experiment wasn't a failure, but it wasn't a success either. She couldn't help feeling frustrated. But vaguely, Shang Yechu felt she had touched the boundary between Lin Fengyu and Zhao Lele's relationship. Once she reached that line, all her emotions would naturally surface!
"Let's go." Shang Yechu sighed, feeling a surge of anxiety.
What exactly does Zhao Lele want?
What exactly does she want?
What exactly was the action that activated Zhao Lele's enlightenment radar in the first place?
Yang Huanyi straightened her clothes, which had been disheveled by Shang Yechu, and was about to take a step when she suddenly noticed the chewing gum not far away. She had been so weak from Shang Yechu's kiss that her hand slipped, and the chewing gum fell to the ground.
When visiting the forest park, one shouldn't leave any trash behind. Yang Huanyi was about to bend down to pick up the piece of chewing gum wrapped in paper when she suddenly heard Shang Yechu say, "Don't move."
What's wrong now? Does she want to do it again?
Yang Huanyi was puzzled when she saw two sparrows, one large and one small, hopping and skipping onto the open ground. The larger sparrow lowered its head and pecked at a piece of chewing gum, then stretched its neck and put its beak into the mouth of the smaller sparrow.
It turned out to be a mother sparrow feeding her chicks.
Birds can't eat chewing gum. Yang Huanyi bent down, picked up the candy ball wrapped in paper, and prepared to take it out to throw it in the trash can. Turning around, she saw Shang Yechu looking at her with a strange expression.
Suddenly, Shang Yechu took two steps forward and almost pounced on Yang Huanyi!
The movement was too large, startling the birds in the forest, which fluttered away and most of them flew away.
"You want—" Yang Huanyi was puzzled, but when she pushed, she bumped into the bag that Shang Yechu was carrying. The bag was hard inside, and Yang Huanyi suddenly remembered that it contained the book that Shang Yechu had been reading on the high-speed train.
A chill ran through Yang Huanyi, freezing her in place. She suddenly understood what Shang Yechu wanted.
Human nature, animal nature... id, ego...
Zhao Lele.
Shang Yechu.
Yang Huanyi's back was instantly soaked with sweat. She looked into Shang Yechu's eyes, her hands clenching and unclenching repeatedly.
Finally, Yang Huanyi nodded weakly.
