Filming for "Anna Doriya" has wrapped.
Many years ago, a young man named Luo Yao heard this story in a nursing home; many years later, this film, based on this story, ends with director Luo Yao closing a door.
Shang Yechu found it hard to describe how she felt when she heard the clapperboard sounding "Officially wrapped up filming."
Because she wanted to see the final scene of "Anna Doraemon," Shang Yechu didn't remove her makeup after filming her own scene. Instead, she stayed off-set, quietly watching Luo Yao's performance.
Luo Yao was well aware of his acting skills. For this scene, he didn't use a close-up, but instead carefully composed a long shot.
A tall, slender figure, alone. The door closes, and dust returns to dust.
As a new director, Luo Yao was extremely excited to have his first film wrapped up. He hugged Yang Huanyi and Shang Yechu, tears welling in his eyes, and kept saying thank you.
Luo Yao, Yang Huanyi, and Shang Yechu finished filming on the same day.
Luo Yao deliberately left Yang Huanyi's scenes unfinished until today. He hoped to wrap up filming with the two lead actors. "Anna Doriya" is a work of five people: the deceased Lin Fengyu and Zhao Lele, the living Yang Huanyi and Shang Yechu, and Luo Yao, the chronicler of it all—all are indispensable.
The crew rushed forward and presented the three with a large bouquet of flowers. The rest of the crew threw confetti and glittering confetti (made from shredded discarded plastic bottles, rounded to prevent injury) into the air, cheering together.
As the New Year approaches, all kinds of flowers are becoming increasingly popular. Fresh flowers are especially hard to find in this remote seaside location. Therefore, the flowers delivered to Shang Yechu and his companions were already somewhat wilted.
Upon seeing the bouquet, Luo Yao stopped crying. Clutching the wrapping paper, he complained, "Why carnations? Couldn't you have chosen a more suitable flower for the wrap-up day?"
Wrapped in classic English newspaper-style packaging paper, there was a whole bunch of colorful carnations. There were red, yellow, white, and pink ones, and upon closer inspection, there were even a few mixed-color ones.
If you didn't know better, you'd think the three of them were the three mothers of the film crew!
The crew looked miserable: "All the other flowers are sold out, only carnations and roses are left. Director Luo, I'm a lesbian too! I can't afford to give you roses at home!"
"Alright, alright, alright," Luo Yao accepted a large bouquet of wilted carnations. "Thank you for your hard work. Everyone, go to the finance department and get your red envelopes! Ye Chu and Sister Yang will pay out of their own pockets, everyone gets one!"
The crowd cheered and dispersed. Gradually, only a few people remained. Luo Yao, holding a large bouquet of flowers, shook it at Yang Huanyi and Shang Yechu: "Would you like to take a few?"
Yang Huanyi smiled but remained silent, while Shang Yechu waved her hand, "Forget it, forget it, it's all yours. You are the mother of this movie, Aunt Luo, it's all yours, hurry up and take this bunch of wilted flowers away."
"Tch~" Luo Yao made a face, hugged the flowers, and left humming a song.
"Aren't you going to remove your makeup?" Yang Huanyi pointed at Shang Yechu's face. "Old-age makeup is really uncomfortable on the face. Once I wore it all day and broke out in a bunch of red bumps all over my body."
Shang Yechu felt fine; apart from the stuffiness, she didn't experience any itching or pain.
Compared to the silicone and latex on her face, Shang Yechu had something else on her mind.
