Chapter 627 I Was Born with Talent

Chapter 627, "Born to Be Talented," is the script for "The Snow and Plum Mansion," the first achievement of the "Raging Project."

The Crazy Project has already recruited a small number of up-and-coming screenwriters. "The Snow and Plum Mansion" is the product of a few screenwriters' initial foray into the field.

In reality, *The Snow and Plum Mansion* is much larger in scale than it appears. This is because the writers not only designed a main plot but also numerous branching storylines. Rather than a variety show script, *The Snow and Plum Mansion* is more like a miniature interactive game, much like story-driven games or visual novels where players can choose their own path through the plot.

For example, if Ye Chu hadn't scattered the ashes and orchestrated Huang Feizhang's capture, the production team would have arranged for Lin Hao to kill Zhuang Sheng in the subsequent episodes, leaving more clues. Or they could have revealed Zhang Pangzi's past secrets, such as his entire family being killed by the legal tender reform, and his years of enduring humiliation for revenge…

The writers even considered the possibility that "the guests would guess that Master Mei was faking his death in advance" or "the guests would reveal the murderer halfway through the episode," and set up another script as an alternative.

Consider all possible scenarios and devise appropriate strategies. Ensure a high degree of freedom for the guests within the game, while establishing a safety net outside to guarantee a backup plan for every situation. Raise the ceiling as high as possible, and do everything possible to maintain the floor—Qingping Entertainment aims to be the best.

Both Qingping Entertainment and Meta Films are very satisfied with the broadcast results of this episode of "Fengxue Mei Mansion". In accordance with the agreement of the "Raging Plan", Qingping Entertainment has given the screenwriter and director team generous tiered bonuses.

However, every coin has two sides. The "Raging Waves" project guaranteed the screenwriters' right to be credited, and the names of several screenwriters were prominently displayed in the variety show as agreed. As a result, Zhuang Sheng's fans, who were extremely dissatisfied with this episode, followed the credits and tracked down the screenwriters' Weibo accounts, launching a passionate attack on them.

Zhuang Sheng was completely absent from this episode, contributing no laughs or memorable moments. Zhuang's sister believes this was undoubtedly a result of the writers intentionally marginalizing Zhuang Sheng.

Zhuang Sheng's fans initially disguised themselves as Wu Jianing's fans and made some indirect insults against Ye Chu, only to be brutally beaten by Ye Ya. They then went on to insult Wu Jianing and Lin Hao, only to be ganged up on and beaten by their CP (couple) fans and solo fans. Finally, they could only vent their anger on the screenwriter.

The screenwriters felt both aggrieved and bewildered. To avoid affecting the creative process, they didn't use the actors' names directly in their scripts, instead using pronouns like "Zhang San" or "Li Si." While writing, none of them knew which actor would play Zhang San or Li Si. Who had the time to target Zhuang Sheng for no reason?

In fact, Zhuang Sheng's character design is quite good. In the original setting, he is the only character in the dark Mei Mansion with a pure heart, a good seedling growing from cowards, the only ray of sunshine in the darkness, the only oasis in the desert. He is full of the brilliance of humanity!

Most of the content in "The Plum Mansion in the Snowstorm" is quite dark. A character like Zhuang Sheng can dilute the feeling of darkness, just like the New Party soldiers at the end, bringing strength and hope to the audience.

Who would have thought that after the variety show officially premiered, the darkness was indeed largely diluted—but it was diluted by Ye Chu's humor; the brilliance of humanity was also revealed—Huang Mei Zhang, Gu Wenhua, and others got along very well with Ye Chu, showing great warmth and humanity; the innocent hearts were captured by the love story between Lin Hao and Wu Jianing; and the strength and hope were given by the people on the street, and highlighted by a single sentence from Ye Chu…

Zhuang Sheng only contributed two memorable moments: why he stood in front of Ye Chu's door and why he inexplicably voted for Gu Wenhua. Neither of these mysteries were left in the script, nor were they the screenwriter's fault.

Even if Zhuang Sheng's screen time is limited, can it really be less than Qi Ming's? In the variety show "Fengxue Mei Mansion," Qi Ming played the older Ye Chu. He only had a few minutes of screen time at the beginning and end. Even so, Qi Ming still left a very deep impression on the audience. Some netizens even made comparison videos: in his short appearances, Qi Ming's posture, expression, tone of voice, and even the small details of his movements were exactly the same as the young Ye Chu!

Qi Ming and Ye Chu do not look alike. Yet, through their acting skills, they managed to create a sense of illusion for viewers, making it seem as if they were actually seeing a frail and elderly Ye Chu.

Furthermore, Qi Ming's delivery of lines and acting were of cinematic quality. His presence at the beginning and end of the episode greatly enhanced its quality and realism. In particular, the solemn and weathered tone in his delivery of lines conveyed a strong sense of destiny and timelessness, elevating the overall style of "Fengxue Mei Mansion" to another level.

If Zhuang Sheng himself isn't doing a good job, what does it have to do with these screenwriters?

They can write scripts, so can they stop the audience from being amused by Ye Chu? Can they stop the audience from shipping the Lemon Forest couple? Can they force Qi Ming's acting skills to regress?

This incident caused quite a stir. It also provided Qingping Entertainment with new lessons: the "Raging Wave" project must not only protect screenwriters' right to credit and income, but also their mental health. If fans really make screenwriters hesitant to write, considering this actor or fearing that star, they'll only produce lukewarm, uninspired work.

The construction and improvement of the "Raging Wave" plan; the acquisition of Fengxing Video; the research and development of short dramas; the cooperation with Lin Guihua; the cooperation with Meta Pictures, and so on. Like Shang Yechu, Qingping Entertainment, during its period of hard work, had no time to rest.

Among these many grand plans, there is one that doesn't quite qualify as a plan. This matter is also categorized under the major events section of Qingping Entertainment.

The Sky Awards ceremony is finally coming soon.
