These words inexplicably popped into Lao Liu's mind, leaving him utterly bewildered. He craned his neck to look outside, but the sky was still the same.
Suddenly, Lao Liu, the quick-talker, felt someone sit down next to him. Turning around, he saw a young and handsome... uh, man? He didn't know when, but the man had sat down next to him.
This man looked neither male nor female. His medium-length hair was combed back, and at first glance he looked like a girl with a mushroom haircut.
If it were a beautiful woman, the quick-witted Lao Liu would certainly feel a surge of happiness. But with an ambiguous, effeminate woman sitting next to him, he just felt nauseous.
The quick-tongued Lao Liu grinned, about to get up and leave, when he suddenly heard someone ask, "What did you think of this movie?"
Is this a question to me?
Fast-talking Lao Liu looked around but couldn't find a more suitable person to talk to. It really was someone asking him.
Damn it, I hope Old Liu doesn't run into a gay man!
Fast-talking Lao Liu pretended not to hear and tried to slip away. The handsome man persistently repeated, "What did you think of the movie? I saw you playing on your phone the whole time in the theater."
This thing was actually sitting right next to him in the theater! Fast-talking Lao Liu felt a chill run down his spine. However, it was necessary to clarify things. He hadn't been using his phone the whole time; towards the end, he'd only had it on his lap. The screen was just flashing New Year's greetings because of the holiday.
The quick-tongued Lao Liu casually remarked, "Not bad."
"good?"
The man repeated the sentence in a low voice.
The quick-witted Lao Liu said honestly, "It's quite good-looking."
"Is it pretty...?"
The man muttered to himself, his eyes fixed on the smiling, joyful people who emerged from the left corridor.
Fast-talking Lao Liu thought the man seemed dazed and couldn't help but glance at him. What he saw next was quite alarming; Lao Liu was startled. The man was covered in sweat, but his face was extremely pale, and he was as thin as a white skeleton. Only his eyes shone with a frightening intensity, like those of someone terminally ill or a mad dog roaming at night.
Could it be that something crawled out of the rules street?
Fast-talking Old Liu was so frightened he grimaced, wanting nothing more than to quickly pack up and head back to his grandmother's house. Fortunately, after saying that, the man seemed lost in his own world and ignored Old Liu completely. Old Liu felt like he'd been granted a pardon and quickly stood up.
After getting up, Lao Liu hesitated again.
Going home empty-handed? It would be such a shame if they didn't make a sale on the first day of the Spring Festival season.
How about we go watch "Don't Touch My Dad" and find some new ways to make fun of him?
Just as I was about to buy tickets on my phone, a couple walked past Lao Liu, who was known for his rapid-fire delivery. One of them said dismissively, "...What's wrong with this dad not being able to move?"
The other person said, "You don't understand, this is a metaphor..."
"What kind of metaphor could Happy Chips' videos possibly have? They're just for fun."
The fast-talking Lao Liu paused for a moment.
etc.
etc.
It seems that criticizing movies isn't the only way to grab attention.
Fast-talking Lao Liu's breathing quickened. Let him think, let him think—
Old Liu is going to make a fortune again!
Quick-witted Lao Liu immediately opened the Zhubei Tickets app and clicked on the ticket purchase page for "Happiness Street." This time, he wanted to choose the best seat and carefully study this "Happiness Street" show...
The fast-talking Lao Liu stopped abruptly because he realized that "Happiness Street" was very popular, and the best seats in every theater were already sold out. After going around in circles, he could only buy a ticket for the first row.
