Chapter 40 Rabbit
The rabbit followed its brother home.
The house is brand new, fully furnished with appliances and furniture, and decorated warmly. There are cute cartoon cushions on the sofa, and photos of the brother and sister smiling brightly are everywhere on the walls, under the TV cabinet, and in the room.
My brother was busy preparing dinner in the kitchen, and the aroma wafted out from time to time.
The rabbit sat on the sofa, watching TV with a blank expression.
Why make dinner before it's even dark?
A hint of doubt flashed in the rabbit's eyes, then it stared at the busy figure's back, its gaze becoming blank again.
"Ayu, dinner's ready." A gentle voice came from the man.
The dishes on the table were very plentiful.
The rabbit had never seen many of the dishes before. The moment she sat down and picked up her chopsticks, the dishes came to life, and their colors and aromas became even more enticing.
The rabbit tasted a shrimp; it was delicious, and the sensation seemed to activate her senses.
She seems to have forgotten something very important.
I remember now!
The rabbit hurriedly put down its chopsticks. "Brother, it seems my spiritual body has disappeared."
"Yes, where did it go?"
The man opposite her didn't touch his chopsticks, his face still showing gentle affection. "Can you call it back?"
The rabbit suddenly stood up and said blankly, "Hmm, I sensed it. I have to go find it."
"No rush, let's eat first, then your brother will go with you."
"good……"
After finishing the meal, the man calmly cleared the table and cleaned the kitchen.
Then he opened the door, carrying a bag of trash, and led her out to find her spiritual entity.
Everything seemed so normal.
It looked like a brother and sister, going out to look for their lost pet.
The mental connection became increasingly faint and was about to break, which instinctively caused panic in the rabbit.
She seemed to have forgotten something.
But why can't I remember it no matter what I do?
The man led her across the zebra crossing and onto the main street, his voice gentle yet alluring, "Where is it?"
The rabbit opened its mouth, as if to tell him, but no sound came out.
Something's not right. What exactly is wrong?
Subconsciously, she was resisting; she couldn't tell her brother about her spiritual body, or something terrible would happen.
"Why is Ayu being disobedient? Didn't we agree to come out and find it?"
The man gently stroked her hair; her short, ear-length hair seemed to have grown longer, hanging down her shoulders. She had left her military backpack at home, but she refused to change out of her black combat uniform.
"Hurry, take your brother to find it..."
"Find it..."
The rabbit, unable to control its thoughts, stiffened and walked toward the milk tea shop.
How could a spiritual entity have spontaneously emerged?
It seems like she made it go...
But what happened? Why do I have no recollection of it?
My body doesn't feel like my own.
The rabbit's expression gradually turned to confusion as it took stiff steps, getting closer and closer to the milk tea shop...
"Holy crap! Rabbit, what are you doing?!"
A familiar voice rang out from across the street corner.
A group of people suddenly appeared.
Vehicles on the road occasionally sped past, separating them from the others.
The rabbit struggled to control her body, turned around, and saw a figure rush across the street, becoming a blur as it reached her side and covered her eyes, saying, "Don't look."
It was Duan Xi's voice.
Gunshots rang out.
Then something fell down with a wailing sound.
The rabbit heard the cloud guide's voice and touched her forehead.
"Do not resist."
After Yun Zhao finished speaking, she closed her eyes, and countless fluorescent lights surrounded them.
The little bluebird on the shoulder disappeared from the spot.
Tao Haohao, standing to the side, was completely stunned, his face filled with shock. "The cloud guide really doesn't care about the environment; he dares to do mental counseling right here on the street..."
In the past, the guides in the counseling room had to burn incense and take a bath before conducting counseling sessions; they were practically worshipping Buddha.
The ceremony was incredibly effective.
Xie Tu ignored him and went into the milk tea shop alone. A moment later, he came out carrying a king chameleon.
"Go back, it's safe now."
The little guy's eyes darted around, and he looked at Xie Tu with an expression of unspeakable grievance.
Its figure gradually disappeared, returning to its familiar spiritual realm.
...
The wind howled and the cranes cried.
It's supposed to be a tropical rainforest, but now it looks like the dark forest where a witch lives in a fairy tale.
Black, withered trees are stuck in the black soil, bare like dead wood, as if even their skin is filled with dark matter.
A man and a bird stood in the boundless darkness, where even the sky was filled with thin black lines.
Yun Zhao was slightly taken aback.
In just one day apart, the rabbit's mental state was so severely eroded.
I'm afraid if they had arrived any later, the rabbit would have turned into something like Zhou Tianqi.
Yun Zhao stepped onto the black soil, surveyed the area, and then saw the King Chameleon perched on a tree.
It seemed to have just returned, its scales transforming into a striking white.
As if afraid she wouldn't see it.
The little bluebird tilted its head: "It says it feels very uncomfortable."
Yun Zhao reached out and let it rest on his arm. The shimmering light enveloped it, purifying the dark matter on its body.
The chameleon clung tightly to her with its claws, tilted its head back comfortably, and stuck out its little tongue.
Yun Zhao smiled and his fingertips twitched slightly.
The little bluebird on my shoulder flapped its wings and flew away.
Suddenly.
A huge bluebird, emitting a dazzling blue light, appeared out of nowhere in the rabbit's mental realm.
The great bluebird spread its enormous wings, circled in the dark sky, and raised its head to let out a cry.
Countless green spiritual threads emerged from beneath its wings, spreading wildly outwards along the black earth, centered on Yun Zhao.
The bright fluorescence disappeared into the black soil and into the black dead wood.
With a flap of its enormous wings, a whirlwind swept through the rabbit's mental realm.
Yun Zhao stood alone in the forest, her slender body motionless as a mountain, letting the wind scatter her hair.
Its exceptionally powerful mental energy was enough to support the entire mental domain of an A-level sentinel; the green fluorescent mental threads, like fireflies on a summer night, dominated the tropical rainforest.
Dead trees begin to bloom again.
From black to brown, the branches and leaves slowly stretched out... the sky gradually cleared.
The enormous object hovering in the sky emitted a dazzling light, illuminating every corner.
The sky cleared, and the trees sprouted new buds...
Just as Yun Zhao was about to withdraw his mental energy, he captured a memory.
In the picture.
A man who looked seven or eight parts like a rabbit, wearing the combat uniform of the Dawn Base and holding a familiar sniper rifle, was conducting a simulated battle with Tao Haohao and others on the training field.
The image flashed by.
Next came the adult Rabbit, who took over the well-preserved sniper rifle and joined Dawn Zero Team, becoming the team's youngest and only female member.
An endless expanse of ruins and relics; they are carrying out their mission.
The team members are running like crazy.
The rabbit lay on the roof ahead, aiming at the advanced mutant that was chasing after it.
Those mutants have evolved wings, and their mouthparts can extend and retract so quickly that they are like sharp weapons attacking people.
Tao Haohao shouted, "Wang Jiayi! Kill them quickly!"
The rabbit was about to shoot, but the shout distracted it, causing it to miss the best opportunity.
Her name is not Wang Jiayi.
She is Wang Jiayu.
Wang Jiayi was her brother, and he's already dead...
Dead...
The scene then shifts again.
Tao Haohao was standing in front of Xie Tu with his head down, admitting his mistake.
"She's Jia Yi's sister. I instinctively called her out in that emergency."
Jia Yi was their teammate and always served as the team's sniper.
The younger sister inherited her brother's position, making everyone feel as if he were still alive, and they would subconsciously blurt out his name.
How about giving your sister a nickname?
Duan Xi suggested, "You won't make the same mistake next time."
Song Liang: "When she was little, she walked with a bouncy gait. Jia Yi said she looked like a little rabbit. Let's call her Rabbit. Once you get used to it, it'll be fine..."
Will I just get used to it?
Wang Jiayu, hidden in the shadows, quietly retreated and ran home in a flash. Her red eyes made her look just like a little rabbit.
