Chapter 103 Does your sect still need people?

Everyone admired the individual soldier squad, especially Alexei, who ate his breakfast in unusual silence. His slightly reddish ears standing out against his black hair gave off a very noticeable impression.

Weak and pitiful, but can eat a lot.

The group of over twenty people almost emptied the buffet table, but thankfully it would be replenished for the next meal, which made Gu Li secretly relieved.

I almost thought we were going to run out of food.

The group rested for a while in the central cabin of the spaceship. The unmanned spaceship, in the jump tunnel, was as silent as a giant beast about to perish.

Wang Li gathered everyone together again: "I have sent out the intelligence, and support will be waiting for us at the key point after the warp ends."

"What we need to do now is to do everything we can to hold on until 3 p.m.

With nearly seven hours left before the jump ended, everyone's mood became heavy, but thankfully the warmth from the hot food still lingered in their bodies.

It won't be too uncomfortable.

He Wei thought for a moment and said, "We will do our best to support you."

Each Child of Light is exceptionally important on the battlefield against the alien species, almost in a one-to-one ratio, which puts them at ease.

Gu Li was pulled to sit next to Wang Li, leaning forward against her cross as they assigned responsibilities.

She raised her hand: "You don't need to make arrangements for me."

Wang Li glanced at her, and took it as tacit agreement without saying a word.

She didn't even bring the Child of Light with her when dealing with missionaries who were almost at the level of a dependent in the first-level contaminated zone.

It's understandable that we don't need to use it now.

He Wei paused for a moment before naturally moving on to the next person, skipping over Gu Li.

Alexei's expression, which had been relatively calm after finishing his meal, darkened again. He glanced at Gu Li and spoke in a harsh tone.

“Even you don’t need it, so I…”

Before he could speak, He Wei gently placed her hand on his shoulder: "What do you want to say?"

He Wei gave him a look that said, "Try saying you don't need the Child of Light."

Alexei fell silent for no apparent reason, stubbornly avoiding her gaze.

He Wei rolled her eyes at him. Regardless of their combat strength, Gu Li's starlight was far superior to hers, having easily pulled her out of the pollution back then.

There's definitely no problem with protecting yourself now.

She suggested later that the teacher take Gu Li along, which would ensure everything went smoothly.

After settling her companions, He Wei looked at the two people in front of her. Just as she opened her mouth, Gu Li, with one hand on the cross, jumped off the back of the chair.

My gaze fell on what was behind them.

He Wei then noticed that those sky-blue eyes could actually sparkle when they were serious and focused.

With her overly pale skin and light golden hair, she didn't seem like a lowly, genetically deficient human, but rather a classical, pampered, and noble princess.

As she began to take a step forward, He Wei overturned her momentary thought; the girl was still dragging that overly heavy cross in her hand.

They find it difficult to associate it with weapons.

The crowd instinctively parted to make way for her, and Gu Li's leather shoes made a series of crisp sounds as they stepped on the ground in the middle.

They seemed somewhat bewildered, yet as if they had realized something, their gazes turning towards the open space behind them.

When Gu Li stood there, Alfoseny followed her gaze but saw nothing.

The next second, the detector on his wrist started frantically issuing alarms, indicating that the pollution inside the spaceship had risen to a critical level.

It then dropped to a terrifying number in an instant.

His expression darkened. The pollution levels couldn't have dropped so rapidly for no reason; there was only one possibility: something was being created through the pollution.

Everyone felt the tension in the air and quickly formed pairs to find cover and prepare for battle.

Only the chestnuts remained in the open space in the middle.

They could only see her tall and dignified back, her light golden hair neatly tied back with an obsidian headband. Said suddenly realized.

Even at this point, her back view still looked very calm, as if she were standing in front of some scenic spot, quietly appreciating it.

Gu Li was indeed looking at something; after becoming a higher-level species, she had a stronger perception of air pollution.

After He Shiyi granted the power to the ruler, this perception transformed into something similar: she could see the flow of pollution in the air when she was extremely focused.

Unlike the alien species themselves, which each possess their own nausea and evil, the pollutants floating in the air are like clusters of molecules attracting each other.

Under the watchful eyes of the chestnut trees, they gradually gathered into a large clump.

Then it gradually twists and solidifies.

Gu Li suddenly had an idea: what would happen if she broke them apart before they formed?

Thinking this, she did just that, easily lifting the large silver cross with her slender arms and waving it in front of her.

The force was so great that it shocked the people behind him and made their teeth ache.

But there was nothing there.

There was nothing on that open space; to them, Gu Li had simply struck at thin air.

Overwhelmed by her aura, the crowd, who had expected to witness something extraordinary, thought: ...

After waiting for so long, this is what you show me?

Alexei gritted his teeth. He admitted that Gu Li was a good cook, but fighting was a world apart from cooking!

He stood up slightly, wanting to go forward and pull her back.

Another whooshing sound came, this time accompanied by a piercing shriek. His pupils contracted as he looked ahead.

All that could be seen was a jet-black, wet alien creature slowly disappearing into the air.
