Chapter 5 Working, Underground Street

That large, plastic-looking loudspeaker looked like a fashionable accessory from the old man downstairs who collected scraps on his bicycle, exuding a very out-of-place, local vibe.

She noticed a yellow stain on the flared end and strongly suspected that it was oil that had been splashed there sometime ago!

Wearing a British-style dress with layers of Slavic collars on the chest, she looked very elegant. Her back was straight, and you could tell at a glance that she was a sheep with only polite manners and good upbringing.

Eric held the plastic megaphone in his hand, seemingly cherishing it. He carefully held the megaphone mouth with one hoof, his rectangular pupils fixed on the violently churning sea. His face seemed to show a hint of reluctance, yet he still turned the volume up to the maximum with his hoof.

An elegant yet eerie baritone voice blared through the loudspeaker, slightly distorted, earnestly warning: "Please do not come any closer. You have reached the end of your journey. I repeat, please do not come any closer."

Although Gu Li felt that this was more like a provocation.

The unmanned cargo ship was still slowly moving forward amidst the turbulent waves, and the simple wooden dock gradually began to creak. Gu Li, holding Shi Qing in her hand, cautiously took a step back.

Sure enough, upon hearing Eric's voice, the black sea seemed to churn even more violently, and even the containers on the ship began to tremble restlessly, as if something was about to burst out of the containers.

It was said to be the only cargo port in the alien city, and to Gu Li's incredulous gaze, it began to crumble under the crushing weight of the ships.

The only pier was destroyed so easily. Is this city even capable of doing anything?

Before she could even ask a question, Eric walked back with a gloomy face, bent down and carefully placed the horn in her hand. He then covered his chest with one hand and leaned slightly forward. With a "glug," the sharp, curved horn pierced into Shi Qing's body.

"I'm so sorry to have you see this, please wait a moment."

With Gu Li's hesitant expression, Shi Qingchao, carrying her, strode aggressively toward the ship, leaving behind a real black mist behind his elegant figure.

No! Wait a minute, don't you feel like there's something extra on you?

Eric, with a dazed look in her eyes, began to run along the wooden planks that were starting to crack. The boat paused for a moment, then, as if sensing some kind of danger, began to frantically ram the dock.

As the containers trembled on the sea, huge black waves surged up, making the two-meter-long goat-hoofed man appear insignificant in comparison.

After he stood still, he reached into his stomach and made a retrieval motion, pulling out a thin sword. Gu Li involuntarily held her breath.

Did Eric intend to cleave this giant wave in two with a single sword strike?

The next moment, he deftly plucked the black ball from the ram's horn with his other hand and threw it toward the giant wave.

...So they're actually choosing to attack our own teammates?

As Shi Qing flew out, accompanied by some ominous background music, Gu Li vaguely saw a scarlet eye gradually cracking open from the abyss as the slime's limp body entered the waves.

The space and time at the dock seemed to become viscous and stagnant, and a figure with two huge ram horns leaped high into the air, a cold glint flashing in its hand, and slashed straight at the containers on the ship that were fleeing in panic.

"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh!"

It was an inhuman cry and scream. Gu Li stared blankly at the crimson chunks of flesh that slid out of the container as it shattered.

Help me, help me, Mommy, please help me!

It was a language she had never heard before, but Gu Li understood it. The scarlet flesh was pleading for her help. Her heart pounded, and she took a step forward. Eric's rapier drew an elegant arc in the air and pierced the creature's body completely.

The pity and unbearable feeling that had been awakened in Gu Li's heart vanished in an instant, and her already pale face turned even paler, her heart pounding in alarm.

What a horror story! Just looking at this ugly thing makes me lose my mind, and yet someone wants to call her "Mom"?

Is this some kind of new curse?

The ship made a strange sound.

Gu Li composed herself, casually wiped the water stains off the red and white horn, took two steps forward, and shouted to Eric, who was standing on the edge of the boat with his back to her, "Stop being so elegant, this boat is about to sink!"

The man with the sheep's hoof, who had his back to her, froze, then slowly turned around. His slender sword clattered onto the deck, and his slightly dark face showed some embarrassment: "Excuse me, miss, have you seen Shi Qing?"

"...Didn't you stick it in the corner and throw it in?"

She pointed blankly to the gradually calming black sea, and a terrible thought began to rise in her mind.

Gu Li truly experienced what it meant for everything to go black, and cautiously asked.

"Sir, is it because... he can find his way back on his own... that you threw him out so decisively?"

Seeing his increasingly ashamed face, Gu Li simply shut his mouth and sighed once again at their pathetic, fake brotherhood.

Looking around, she grabbed a fishing net from the ground and rushed over. Looking at the sea, which was about the same color as Shi Qing's, she exchanged a glance with Eric and nodded. Looking at the sea, her eyes were serious. They had no choice but to fish.

"Tch, Eric, you lost a man in such a small incident. If you're coming back soon, don't cling to your position as a bodyguard. Let me be the head bodyguard."

As Gu Li cast her net into the sea, she noticed Eric standing up beside her, seemingly unintentionally blocking her way, and looking at Levi, whose countless octopus tentacles were gradually approaching.

She couldn't help but turn her head to eavesdrop. Was it the head of the guard?
