There weren't many soldiers guarding the C02 base; a significant portion of them had been sent to C01 for investigation, so there weren't many soldiers available for combat within the base.
He Wei, who volunteered to follow Wang Li to the land of exile for training, was wearing a mask, and her white coat was stained with blood.
The hand hovering above the bloody wound trembled wearily.
She had imagined the brutality of the first line of defense on the border, but she never expected that the reality would be a thousand times more cruel than she had imagined.
Just a wall away, the dense sounds of gunfire, accompanied by shouts and screams, gradually faded away. He Wei knew that another person had died.

He Wei smiled and didn't say anything more.
What else can be said?
Of the eleven districts in the Federation's Exile, only District One borders the Death Plains, while the Children of Light nurtured in the Safe Zone reside in District Eleven.
Most of the contaminated soldiers faced only death.
"...because the doctor who can save them is beyond the ten checkpoints..."
He Wei murmured.
Another loud roar came from the courtyard outside, and even the ground beneath her feet shook slightly.
After a moment of panic, He Wei tried her best to calm down. She clenched her fingers and told her assistant to bring in more patients.
Assistant: "But it's too dangerous now. What if something happens to you..."
He Wei frowned, her expression revealing her exhaustion as she glanced at her: "If I don't save people, what use is my identity?"
The assistant wanted to say that all the Children of Light were like this, and that their priority was to ensure the safety of the Children of Light.

But under He Wei's gaze, she fell silent, her expression gradually becoming more gentle and respectful.

Gu Li touched the cross on her back, which still held her body heat, and slowly grasped the handle of the cross with her patent leather gloves, removing it.
Wang Li's calm voice came through: "They should still be there; that thing is guarding the first basement level."
The basement level is a hospital!
In the base's emergency plan, this is the last place to retreat in the event of a devastating attack on the base.
The people in the spaceship were invigorated, but quickly became serious again. This behemoth, comparable to a missionary, could only be barely repelled by bombardment.
With their current equipment, it's probably really not enough.
Gu Li gripped the cross that she had moved in front of her, her sky-blue eyes thoughtfully fixed on the giant octopus below.
"How are your flying skills? Can you break through these tentacles and fly down?"
Irwin's green eyes were cold. After a while, he replied, "The entrance to the cave has been blocked by that thing."
Only those disgusting, low-level creatures can continuously crawl down through the gaps, attempting to get a share of the spoils.
Gu Li nodded thoughtfully: "Then we need to open a breach temporarily."
Xu Feihe, struggling to survive amidst the curves of a large group of men, lifted her drooping eyelids upon hearing this and raised her voice.
"Miss Gu Li, do you have any ideas?"
Ning Jia imagined a girl in a villa, wielding a long sword, who could easily cut down a missionary-level mutant.
Her eyes lit up, and she looked in that direction expectantly.
Gu Li looked at the giant octopus beneath him and thought: What can I do?
Only by making other species give way can you make them feel threatened and intimidated.
She reached out and pressed the hatch shut, saying vaguely, "I guess so. Those of you near the door, hold on tight, don't fall down."
Upon hearing this, Irwin said meaningfully, "Be careful, don't overdo it."
Gu Li waved his hand, ignoring Wang Li's stern rebuke, and leaped into the air.

Gu Li's figure disappeared quickly, the spaceship's hatch closed, and everyone silently looked at Wang Li, who had instantly climbed into the co-pilot's seat in a fit of rage.
What was that that just crawled over my head a moment ago?

Veins bulged on Wang Li's face beneath his helmet. What a scoundrel! So disobedient!
He actually jumped down by himself and faced that thing alone—that was missionary level!
Even if they return late, it wouldn't be surprising if the entire base were wiped out by it.
"That little girl just jumped! She doesn't even know how she died! So incredibly reckless! Absolutely reckless!!!"
