The towering waves on the sea obscured her vision. Gu Li flapped her powerful wings and stubbornly waited in place, her eyes fixed on the sea below.
Countless lower-level species, having lost the first barrier erected by the chestnut, were drawn by the flesh and blood and rushed madly into the city.
Under the relentless pressure of the dark seawater, Gu Li was soaked to the bone. She shivered, her first reaction being cold; the bone-chilling coldness repeatedly drained the warmth from her body.
At this moment, she felt like a small boat adrift on an endless sea, a child walking alone amidst a hail of bullets, completely unprepared. The immense, heavy pressure from the deep sea finally weighed heavily on her shoulders.
Gu Li fell dozens of meters downwards without realizing it, until her toes touched the crest of a wave, at which point she suddenly woke up, gritted her teeth, and once again increased the distance between herself and the sea.
She could sense an unusually strong polluted odor down there, so strong it made her want to vomit.
Even though that thing hadn't appeared yet, Gu Li was already locked in place by an invisible pressure, unable to move in mid-air. The hair ribbon wrapped around her hand meandered up her fingers, forming a slender wrist.
It relieved some of her pressure. Gu Li glanced at the wrist on her shoulder and had the illusion that He Shiyi had put his hand on her shoulder.
Her gaze then fell on the sea below, and she twitched her lips. To be honest, she had absolutely no confidence in her ability to defeat a monster far above her level.
When I faced this thing in person, I had an extremely ominous premonition.
She can't beat him.
She might die.
"Tsk."
But she had already arrived on the battlefield, a battlefield where only she could intervene, carrying heavy trust and expectations.
She was still carrying the tentacles of that oblivious He Shiyi, who, despite being preoccupied with her own problems, insisted on separating them.
Gu Li reached out and touched the soft, smooth headband at the back of her head, muttering, "It's making me too embarrassed to back down."
A slender girl stood on the sea surface, slightly raising one hand. Accompanied by a clear and melodious cry, a bone whale appeared out of thin air and swam around her.
With her other hand hanging down, bright red blood pumped out from the back of her hand, forming a crimson longsword in mid-air. The girl with wings on her back had a calm face that could not possibly show any other expression.
Gu Li looked at the sea, and an invisible force field unfolded between her and the sea, causing the waves within a meter of her to be separated by an invisible force, and the sea returned to calm.
She took a deep breath, the cold, fishy air filling her chest, and almost all the power she could muster in her body was focused on her sword-wielding hand.
Within the bone whale's force field, an invisible force continued to be applied to the sword hilt. As the darkness rose, bringing more lower-level creatures, Gu Li's eyes flickered.
She gave a soft shout, and the bright red longsword flew from her hand, accompanied by a deafening roar and a massive, almost sky-covering column of water that swallowed everything.
The chestnut struggled to maintain its shape in the turbulent water.
The sea surface, which had briefly appeared hollow, suddenly began to tremble violently, with a tremendous sound like an earthquake, as if the thing was a monster crawling out of the seabed crust.
That thing came incredibly fast; what kind of monster was it?
Gu Li's wet, light golden hair clung to her face, her eyes futilely staring at the enormous monster that suddenly emerged from the sea. Before this thing, she felt like an ant that could be crushed at will.
Gu Li stared blankly into the eyes of that thing, which was as big as a ship. A chill ran down her spine, and in an instant, her soul began to leave her, and everything around her seemed to drift away.
Only what's in front of us—
The beautiful, sublime, majestic, and gentle adult is the meaning of her life, and she tries to get close to its soft, moist skin.
She cut open her own chest, offering her hot, sweet blood and internal organs as a sacrifice to the great plunderer.
The bright red color gradually stained the light-colored hair, and a confused yet excited expression appeared on the girl's face. She flapped her wings and flew towards the dim yellow eyeball.
Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through her shoulder, and she seemed to hear countless calls from behind.
"Miss!"
"Miss Gu Li!"
"Hey girl! Wake up!"
"king!"
"My lord! Please wake up!"
She blinked slowly, her eyes blank. Wake up?
Why?
She fervently offered her bleeding chest as a sacrifice to the incomparably noble adult before her, letting him taste her endless, sweet pain.
Everything is wonderful.
“If you move any further, I’ll take away all your steaks for the rest of your life.”
A clear voice suddenly appeared in my mind.
"Then I can only sing at your grave every day with my beautiful and elegant voice."
An elegant voice, tinged with anticipation, followed immediately.
Gu Li suddenly shivered, the arrogant smile on his face slightly faded, revealing an expression of painful struggle. Pork chop? Soul Singer?
Her empty, dark eyes trembled violently. Gu Li regained consciousness with a splitting headache. The rotting human face so close to her made her eyes widen suddenly.
She instinctively flapped her wings, trying to retreat, but found herself seemingly fixed in place by something, unable to move.
Gu Li then looked around, panting heavily.
This was a vast, dark cavern, where everything trembled rhythmically as if it were alive, even the rotting head that had almost kissed her cheek.
She even spotted a dark shape in the distance that resembled a ship.
Where am I?!
She was just trying to get her kin hidden in the seawater out, so why did she find herself in this strange cave as soon as she opened her eyes?
Gu Li subconsciously looked at himself, where a huge gash on his chest was exposed and radiating heat.
She subconsciously thought that it was a miracle that she was still alive after reaching this point.
Gu Li swallowed carefully, looked at the black wrists that bound her body and made her unable to move, and tugged at them.
This movement seemed to awaken all her senses, and intense pain swept over her, instantly soaking her back with cold sweat.
In just a few seconds, she felt as if she had been pulled out of the water. She quickly turned her somewhat sluggish brain around and focused the starlight on her chest for treatment.
The torture ended a few minutes later.
The dark wrists wrapped around her sensed the starlight and slowly contracted, eventually returning to their original form.
It was a small tentacle wrapped around her wrist.
Gu Li subconsciously curled the corners of her lips and stepped forward on her bare feet to explore.
The space seemed endless, filled with slime, a fishy smell, and dark, damp walls.
Gu Li stood panting in a narrow passage, the sound of which seemed to resonate throughout the space. Suddenly realizing something, she groped her way to a stop in front of the cave wall.
She moved her hands, which were covered in the foul-smelling slime from the wall, slowly grasped the longsword formed from congealed blood, and then suddenly stabbed it into the wall.
Suddenly, a shrill scream echoed throughout the space, and the cave began to tremble violently.
