Chapter 321 The Defeat

A low, resonant vibration echoed back and forth in the narrow, elongated crevice, and the dust that had been silent for a thousand years fell with a soft rustling sound.

Yun Wei, however, remained rooted to the spot, panting heavily.

Even after the unbridled rationality has erupted, one still has to face the disarray that follows the rampage.

“Yes, you heard me right.” He broke free from Isaac’s grip and said in despair, “Laugh at me all you want, Isaac. I’ve already lost this contest.”

"I actually managed to hold on for more than half a month, it was really... extremely ugly."

Yun Wei stopped talking.

He couldn't say anything more.

He once believed with unwavering confidence that his feelings were pure and existed independently of desire.

But now, the cold and scorching reality has ruthlessly shattered his illusions.

The truth is, his body was suffering uncontrollably every day, his insatiable desire for Isaac cruelly burning away all his reason and shame.

In stark contrast to him, Isaac was able to control himself.

The other party is a true knight.

He was merely a hypocritical magician, unable to remain calm and succumbing to the torrent of emotions and desires.

If you don't even have the courage to face your true self, how can you possibly understand the mysteries of the laws?

Yun Wei felt ashamed of his own inferiority and also felt a sense of inexplicable grievance.

The person behind him was unusually quiet at this moment, and Yun Wei didn't dare to think about Isaac's expression at all.

How will the other person perceive me?

If he could, he really wanted to go back half an hour and grit his teeth and silently pass through that winding and terrifying "narrow passage".

His body swayed precariously, and he was about to collapse.

The overwhelming sense of destruction, almost unbearable shame, was more suffocating to him than the abyss itself.

Just when he was at his lowest point of despair, the knight behind him finally spoke.

For some reason, the other person's voice was also extremely hoarse.

Yun Wei instinctively wanted to escape, but in such a narrow space, even the slightest sound would be heard with perfect clarity.

The other person said, slowly and deliberately, "If I could, I would really like to go back half an hour."

Upon hearing this, Yun Wei's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, sank completely.

He was like a walking corpse, completely dumbfounded.

Isaac sighed heavily.

This long sigh, when it reached Yun Wei's ears, was no less than a prolonged flogging.

In his memory, he had never seen the other person sigh so deeply.

Yun Wei pursed his lips silently; he had no choice but to accept the verdict.

This is the privilege of the victor, and he must accept it all without any room for negotiation.

Isaac slowly walked up to him.

The sound of the enemy's boots pounding on the gravelly ground sent chills down Yun Wei's spine with every thud.

"Yun Wei," the other party called out.

Yun Wei gritted his teeth.

He was already hanging his head, and now he closed his eyes even more. "I'm here. Go ahead and say it."

No matter how cruel the words, he would accept them passively and without question.

“Sigh,” Isaac sighed again, “I don’t know how to describe the frustration and regret I feel right now—”

"I'm sorry!" Yun Wei shouted, but his voice was already distorted and out of tune due to sobs.

"sorry……"

He repeated it again in a low voice.

Isaac did not speak.

The other person's right hand suddenly pressed down on his shoulder. "Yun Wei, look up at me, okay?"

The other person's voice remained gentle and patient, yet Yun Wei could detect a deep sadness within it.

His heart suddenly ached again.

He didn't want Isaac to be sad.

Yun Wei took a deep breath, finally managed a smile, and mustered the courage to look at the other person.

Then, in an instant, he was torn to shreds by the emotions in the other person's eyes.

Those smoky gray eyes reflected only themselves.

Yet it seemed to be filled with fragmented, floating ice.

He had never seen Isaac like this before, and just one glance was enough to make him want to cry.

"I'm sorry, Yun Wei." The other person said without blinking, "It's truly my dereliction of duty that I let you say such things. If such a thing is a sin, then I would have already fallen into an unforgivable hell."

"I'm just—I'm sorry, it's too hypocritical of me to say this now."

“I was just afraid of offending you. You probably won’t believe it, but Isaac is usually fearless. However, when you spoke to me just now, I was terrified.”

"I just feel like a complete coward in front of you."

"It is I who, in the sleepless midnight hours, repeatedly fantasize about and savor your touch, yet during the day I always put on a mask and despicably anticipate your approach."

The other person's voice was still like a violin humming, plaintive and melodious.

The scene here subtly overlaps with the caves in the forests of the south.

But Yun Wei couldn't utter a single word.

His brain has completely shut down.

I clearly heard every word the other person said, but I still couldn't understand what they were trying to express.

His entire being was focused on gazing into those resolute yet affectionate eyes.

Isaac lowered his head and looked deeply at Yun Wei. His hand, which was on the other's shoulder, couldn't help but stroke the soft top of the head of the person in front of him.

He solemnly said to Yun Wei, "It is something I should be doing to ask my partner for pleasure. I should be shameless, asking for your permission again and again."

"But what's done is done, and I don't know how to carry out that damned 'iteration' anymore. No matter how frustrated I am now, it won't help."

At this point, Isaac raised his hand and stood at attention under the other person's questioning gaze.

He kept gazing at Yun Wei, and then, under the gazes of both of them, which neither could look away from, he suddenly knelt down.

It wasn't the usual kneeling.

He knelt on the ground like a slave, his noble and handsome profile pressed against the sharp, hard gravel.

Completely bewildered, Yun Wei didn't react at all. While he was still in a daze, the other person's hand had already clamped down on his ankle.

His left foot was easily lifted up, and guided by Isaac, the sole of his shoe went straight for the other man's head.

His head suddenly exploded like a thunderclap.

The sensation from the soles of his feet was something he would never forget for the rest of his life.

Yun Wei froze completely.

He frantically tried to lift his foot, but he couldn't do anything against the opponent's overwhelming wrist strength.

Yun Wei opened his mouth, asking incredulously, "Isaac, what... what are you doing?"

Which of the two of them is insane?

However, upon hearing his question, Isaac chuckled.

"Don't you understand yet, Yun Wei?"

"I am offering my whole dignity and loyalty to my beloved."

In that position, the other person struggled to speak, yet the words they uttered were as precious as gold and jade striking the ground.

Yun Wei's eyes were bulging so hard they looked like they were about to burst.

He suddenly understood.

He was constantly agonizing over so-called "shame" and "dignity," but in the other person's eyes, none of these mattered as much as he did.

The other party was willing to kneel on the ground like a slave, only worried that he would hold a grudge because of the shout he had made when he lost control earlier.

Despite his current appearance as a victor, Yun Wei knew that he was the one who had truly lost.

They were utterly defeated and routed.

This was a defeat from which there was no chance of recovery, and he finally accepted his complete and utter defeat.

"Let me go," he shouted, feigning composure, his low, hoarse voice trembling violently.

"Let go, Isaac... This is an order!"

With a sudden, forceful rise in his voice, the other person finally released his ankle.

As soon as he was able to move, Yun Wei immediately knelt down on the ground.

He helped Isaac up and used his sleeve to pat and wipe the dirt off the other man's face.

He then carefully pressed and examined the other person's profile, pressing it inch by inch with his fingertips.

They finally breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that the uneven marks were just natural pressure and there were no external wounds.

Yun Wei was heartbroken.

Regret, self-blame, gratitude...

Annoyance, admiration, attraction...

His heart was overflowing with all sorts of emotions, and he was like a volcano about to erupt.

However, Isaac remained quiet at that moment.

The other person remained motionless, letting him act recklessly, standing upright, indulging and pampering him.

Isaac just smiled, but his eyes never left his face.

Yun Wei was so embarrassed that he finally stopped all his actions.

He put his arm around the other person's neck.

His chin rested on the other man's broad shoulder, and he murmured softly:

"Hold me, Issa."

"I'm serious."
