Chapter 357 Enlightenment

Yun Wei was still thinking about the meeting during the day, so he didn't dare to stay in bed for too long.

He opened his eyes and saw Isaac looking down at him.

"Isa".

He called out to the other person softly, just as he had repeated it ten thousand times the night before.

Unfortunately, his voice was so hoarse that only hissing sounds remained.

Under normal circumstances, Yun Wei might have glared at Isaac, using his reproachful gaze to mask the shame in his heart.

But today is different.

Looking at the helpless yet stubborn expression on Isaac's face, he felt a surge of tender pity from the bottom of his heart.

He felt sorry for Issa and didn't want her to feel guilty.

After all, what happened last night was ultimately his own doing.

He learned from his previous experience and was no longer willing to hide it from his partner.

Even if it's painful, we should bear it together.

Yun Wei still remembers how hard Isaac worked; their low breaths and shouts mingled together as they desperately tried to crush each other into their bones and blood.

In the almost trembling image, Isaac remained fixed on him.

He called his name over and over again, constantly telling him how much he loved him.

The other person's hot yet icy sweat slid down the edge of their sharply defined jawline, shattering on his face, mingling with the tears that welled up from his deepest emotions.

At that moment, Yun Wei felt that he had been elevated.

He and Isaac seemed to have reached some kind of mysterious connection deep in their souls.

That's why, even though he was mute, he still said, "It seems I'll have to keep quiet as much as possible today. Hiss—Isa, help me up first."

Although Yun Wei had prepared himself mentally, he still found it difficult to maintain his composure when faced with the soreness and weakness in his waist, abdomen, and groin.

The man silently complied.

Yun Wei declined the other party's offer to help him up, grabbed a shirt from the back of the chair and put it on, then limped to the full-length mirror in the corner of the room.

Perhaps it was because the daylight was just breaking and the room was still dim, but he suddenly felt that he was quite good-looking.

Ignoring those beautiful marks, the person in the mirror has skin as smooth as jade, as if radiating a faint, cool light.

He didn't have a shirt; it belonged to Isaac.

The oversized clothes draped over his body felt like Isaac was embracing him. Yun Wei took a deep breath without making a sound, and sure enough, he was filled with the other's unique scent.

It gave him immense peace of mind and filled him with energy.

He slowly buttoned up his shirt, because even the muscles in his arms were trembling uncontrollably.

But when he discovered that even with his collar turned up, he couldn't hide the rose-red marks on the side of his neck, the composure he had been trying to maintain finally crumbled.

It's just too ambiguous.

Even a blind person could see that this mark, whether in its location, shape, or force, was clearly meticulously designed.

Isaac, the jealous guy, was definitely doing it on purpose.

At this moment, the knight, who had been leaning against the bed with one leg propped up, had silently appeared behind him.

"I'm going to embarrass myself," Yun Wei said softly, his eyes lowered.

He wasn't angry, just a little...

Fear.

He now has two choices: either attend the meeting openly and announce to the whole continent the debauched life of the Icebird Grand Duke, or apply that pale, frightening lead powder from his neck all the way to the top of his face.

Yun Wei ultimately couldn't achieve the former.

He was about to rummage through the dressing table for his powder compact when Isaac stopped him. "Change into your suit, and with the bow tie, they won't be able to tell. Don't worry, even if it's embarrassing, we'll be there for each other."

He looked at the knight's hand with a puzzled expression, only to find that the knight had taken out a set of rather gorgeous clothes at some point.

The dress is predominantly dark in color, with silver-gray patterns embroidered on a dark blue background. As the angle of the light changes, the patterns flicker, like a magical artifact made of mithril.

The collar and cuffs are adorned with layers of pure white pleats.

It seems that, as the other party said, we can get away with it.

But Yun Wei clearly remembered that she had never ordered such a dress, unless—

Isaac became him.

His guess was confirmed after the other party carefully changed him into a formal suit.

Even though he insisted on not using the matching undershirt and instead wore Isaac's shirt underneath, the formal attire he wore over it still fit him perfectly, making this unkempt country bumpkin appear imposing and dignified, like a god.

"Isn't this a bit too grand..." Yun Wei asked softly.

Even through the blurry mirror, he could see the undisguised admiration in his lover's eyes behind him.

He was already somewhat embarrassed about Isaac becoming his own, and now he felt even more ashamed.

He worried that the formal attire was too extravagant and might inadvertently overstep His Majesty's authority, but he also feared that his own elaborate attire might be too exaggerated and give the impression of trying to cover up his true intentions.

The most crucial thing, however, was Isaac's thoughts.

His partner and lover, this man who was personally raised by Catherine the Great, was undoubtedly very intelligent.

So intelligent that it wouldn't be an exaggeration to describe them as "shrewd and far-sighted," a fact evident in the excellent moves their opponents made.

The thought that the other party had already anticipated that he would absolutely not be able to refuse this dress when they branded him filled Yun Wei with inexplicable emotions.

It was mostly embarrassment and annoyance, but also mixed with a touch of inexplicable sweetness.

Damn it, Isa.

He couldn't help but curse inwardly.

“There won’t be any problems.” Isaac’s voice was a little hoarse, but he still patted his chest loudly. “This meeting is the highest-level one in history. The fact that you’re dressed like this shows that you value it, and Grandmother will be very satisfied.”

Yun Wei thought about it and realized that what the other party said was right, so he felt relieved.

He turned around and saw that the other person was still openly shirtless.

When the Icebird Grand Duke saw his equally impressive "masterpiece" from the previous night, he finally felt a sense of satisfaction.

Even so, he quickly averted his gaze, pretending to be extremely calm, and instead asked in a pretentious manner, "And you? What are you wearing?"

Yun Wei had assumed that the other person would also be wearing the same formal attire as him.

Based on his understanding of Isaac, the other party definitely had another set of clothes of the same material and style, in the same size as Isaac.

In other words, the legendary matching outfits.

But he ultimately miscalculated.

Isaac smiled and casually waved his hand. As golden and silver light shone, a complete set of black iron armor appeared on the round table against the wall.

This is a set of armor that has been well maintained by its owner. It has everything from the helmet and shoulder guards to the greaves and boots, and is equipped with hundreds of different parts.

"Of course it's armor! Haven't you always wanted to see this?" the other replied with great pride, his eyes full of cheerful laughter. "My dear, I am your only knight, so of course I can't let you down."

He's been wanting to watch this for ages!

Well, he seems to really want to see it.

Upon seeing that strikingly familiar helmet visor, Yun Wei nearly twisted his back as if he had been burned.

He couldn't help but recall that night.

Depend on.

His man seemed to have suddenly become enlightened, so cunning that he felt ashamed.

If things continue like this, he has no doubt that he will be completely ruined by the other party in the future.

"Is this... this is too exaggerated?" he mumbled incoherently in a voice barely audible.

But Isaac cupped his head and gave him a hasty kiss. "Wait for me a little longer, Fafa. I'll be done in a minute."

After saying that, he clumsily walked to the side and started tidying up with a clattering sound.

What else could Yun Wei say?

He could only stand there, amusedly watching his impatient knight arm himself from head to toe.

He was enjoying the blissful, slightly sour feeling.
