Chapter 250 Sin

Silver looked down coldly at the arrogant prisoner and replied, word by word, "Since this is your wish, I—" will grant it.

He wanted to protect his lover as a man.

Before he could finish speaking, a voice came softly from the person in his arms: "If you agree, you can sleep in the study by yourself this month."

Silver froze on the spot, swallowing the words that were about to slip out.

The cell door was so narrow that he couldn't see Sid's expression at all.

He felt agitated, unable to hide his panic, and even felt a little wronged.

Why did Sid stop him?

Is it distrust or contempt?

But Sid didn't give him much time to think.

“I am not spoils of war unless you accept that,” the alchemist emphasized.

His gaze was hidden in the shadows, but he said to Aeneas, "I do not deny that my motives for marrying him were quite complicated, but the most important thing is that I love him very much."

“And I must remind you, Aeneas, you’d better go see a doctor in Beryl to get your head checked. I am ‘already’ married to him, that’s an unchangeable fact, and you have absolutely no right or standing to challenge my husband to a duel.”

Aeneas stared at Sid in utter shock; from the moment he heard those words, he felt like he was about to drop his sword.

Sid actually told him to his face that he had fallen in love with another man.

How is that possible?!

Aeneas stared stubbornly at Sid, refusing to give up, and said, "You...you're lying to me, aren't you?"

It's only been a few months, how could he have changed his mind so quickly?

But it was at this moment that he sensed a well-hidden murderous intent in Sid's suddenly raised eyes.

He was absolutely certain he was seeing things correctly; he was all too familiar with that look in his eyes that seemed to want to get rid of him.

Aeneas simply couldn't accept that Sid would look at him like that.

His mind was in turmoil, yet he watched helplessly as the Grand Duke of Bethlehem rested his chin on Sid's shoulder and whispered something in the other's ear.

Sid's extremely cold expression actually softened suddenly.

Aeneas couldn't help but roar, "Are you even a man? How can you be so shameless as to act like a child in front of your partner?"

Before he could finish speaking, a tremendous force suddenly struck him, slamming him against the hard stone wall behind him.

The crisp sound was very clear in the silent underground, and it was impossible to tell how many ribs the prisoner had broken.

“I originally intended to kill you, but I didn’t want to do it in front of my husband,” Sid frankly admitted.

The light in his eyes seemed to gild his pupils. "But I've suddenly changed my mind. Since you're so hopelessly stupid, you might as well live on and witness firsthand just how much I love him, Aeneas."

The alchemist turned around, looked up at her husband who was grinning foolishly, and suddenly curled her lips into a smile. "Of course he's a man, more of a man than you. No one knows that better than me—and I really enjoyed it."

Having said that, Sid pushed aside Silver, who was blocking his way, and headed straight for the depths of the dungeon.

The Grand Duke of Bethlehem naturally followed along eagerly.

No one paid any attention to the blond prisoner leaning against the wall, spitting blood.

Even Aeneas himself had no time to consider his own miserable state.

He couldn't believe that Sid would say such a thing.

How could such shameless and almost licentious words come from Sid's mouth?

He stubbornly lay on the ground, crawling out like a dog. His once fierce eyes were now filled with bewilderment and disbelief.

...

The deepest cell in the dungeon was surprisingly large and lavishly furnished.

Sid stood in the center of the room, expressionless as he scrutinized the other man sitting in the chair.

The two had identical expressions, and even their eye colors were similar.

Sid suddenly smiled. "I used to think that life imprisonment was a punishment, but it seems I was too naive."

But the middle-aged man with graying temples remained silent, simply staring at the ground.

“I heard you’ve gone mad, what a pity.” Sid suddenly changed the subject.

“Don’t you recognize me? I’m Sid.” He slowly removed his gold-threaded gloves, stopped the pleasantries, and stepped forward. “I’ve come to retrieve my dowry, Uncle.”

The alchemist's fingertips touched the man's chin, and suddenly a rapidly cutting stream of water shot out.

Bang!

Bang! Bang!

The various alchemical tools on the two seemed to trigger a chain reaction, one after another, vying to illuminate the magnificent light and shadow left behind before the annihilation of the various elements.

Each alchemical tool is priceless, enough to sustain a remote village on the continent of Zhuyuan for a year.

But nobody cared about the massive amount of wealth that was destroyed in the blink of an eye.

As the waterline drew ever closer to his throat, the middle-aged man lost all his composure. He recoiled in terror, his neck hunched back, the rings on his fingers flashing rapidly, changing incessantly like an inexhaustible alchemical tool.

"Spare me! Sid, let's sit down and talk!" Sensing his impending death, the middle-aged man suddenly begged for mercy.

The azure halo of light illuminated Sid's features, and he remained unmoved even as the middle-aged man pleaded pitifully.

Finally, the persistent waterline reached the end of its journey.

Crimson and azure mingled in the splashing spray, the lingering glow of the elements still present in the distance, like the dawn of a new life.

The melon, ripe and ready to fall, rolled right to the doorway.

There stood Aeneas, utterly terrified. His already disheveled face was ashen, and there was a suspicious dampness between his trouser legs.

Through the sticky, crimson curtain of blood, Sid curled his lips in a mocking smile. And it was this smile that became the final straw that broke Aeneas's back.

Such a cruel, dissolute, and mean-spirited demon could never be the Sid he knew!

The once invincible warrior now turned tail and ran away without looking back, completely ignoring the pain of bone fragments piercing his lungs.

The alchemist, who had been standing still, withdrew his gaze out of boredom, and casually waved his hand, unleashing a crimson flame that burned away all evil.

He knew that Silver was standing at the door at that moment.

But he was too afraid to look the other person in the eye.

He had always believed that he held absolute control in their relationship. But at this moment, a strange, uneasy fear welled up from the bottom of his heart.

There will always be unavoidable discrepancies between theory and practice, because human wishful thinking cannot compare to experience gained from actual operation.

Just as revenge did not bring him the happiness he expected, it instead left him feeling utterly lost.

In the embers of sin, she heard her husband slowly approaching.

“I’m sorry, I regret it, Silver. I shouldn’t have let you come along,” Sid said sullenly, sniffing.

The Grand Duke of Bethlehem gazed greedily at his beloved standing in a pool of burning blood.

His Sid is truly wonderful.

He had trusted Master Isaac's advice and was on high alert for the unexpected rival who had appeared out of nowhere.

The result was nothing special.

"It's no use regretting it now, you're already married to me." He chuckled and reached out to pull his lover into his arms, his chest throbbing with pleasure.

Sid exclaimed in surprise, "No, I'm dirty—"

Also, he was clearly talking about something else!

But he was interrupted by Silver.

"I want to kiss you," the other person said, cupping his cheeks in their hands, leaving no room for refusal.

The magnetic voice resonated throughout the empty room, numbing him completely and leaving him utterly captivated by the other person's gentle yet forceful charm.

Sid resignedly closed his eyes, gripped the other man's collar tightly, and whispered, "I agree..."

This was supposed to be a hellish season.

The cannibalistic city breeds endless evil, yet beneath the sinful prison, new life is born.

Against a backdrop of mingled embers and blood, the greatest alchemist in history passionately embraces his lover.

“After Haines’ funeral, come with me to meet Mom and Dad,” Sid said, suddenly mustering his courage during a brief moment of silence.

Silver paused for a moment, then readily agreed, "Sure. When we return to Bethlehem at the end of the year, I'll take you to visit my parents."

They wanted them to know that, much later, their child had finally found happiness.

“However,” Sid looked at his fingertips with some regret before the next kiss began, “I really wanted to take your surname, but it seems I’ll have to be the Duke of Gilded Jewels for a while longer.”

Silver laughed. "It doesn't matter. I can take your surname, of course."

After saying that, he lowered his head and kissed his lover earnestly.

His beloved seemed to desperately need logic training. The alchemist thought helplessly, before being forced to respond with even greater focus.
