Chapter 353 Spoiling Him

After repeatedly reminding Hamel to be on high alert, Yun Wei and Isaac arrived in Moonflower City on time to attend the so-called "special meeting".

As soon as Yun Wei entered the meeting room, he sensed that something was off.

The vast conference hall was completely silent. Her Majesty Catherine sat at the head of the table, while Sid and Vivian sat opposite her, close to each other. Below them sat Duke Red Maple, the court mage, the Minister of the Seal, and others.

But they all just sat there silently.

Yun Wei and Isaac then remained silent and sat down close to Catherine.

He looked at Sid worriedly, but the latter ignored him.

He then looked at the blonde girl beside him, who winked at him discreetly and tilted her chin slightly.

Yun Wei didn't understand Vivian's meaning, but he sensed Catherine's attention coming from his left.

He had no choice but to suppress his doubts and, like the other grand dukes, put his mind to his own business.

The door behind me was suddenly pushed open, and a gentle male voice came in, "So you're here? Okay, thank you."

That was Allen's voice.

Yun Wei quickly turned around to look, but then froze.

It wasn't because of seeing Allen himself, but because of the child he was holding in his arms.

It was a beautifully crafted child, still quite young, but his expression clearly revealed a wise and shrewd nature.

What's most surprising is that his pupils are heterochromatic, one side is pure black and the other is gold.

Yun Wei happened to recognize the child.

This is the corpse child, El Niño, who once appeared outside Amberfield, but judging from its aura, it seems to have turned back into a human.

El Niño seemed to remember him too, and even bared his baby teeth at him fiercely. After being slapped on the butt by Allen, he put on an innocent face again.

But Yun Wei noticed that Allen took a step closer to him, clearly wanting to say something.

Just as he was about to speak, he heard Catherine's voice, "Are you representatives of the Holy Church of Radiance? Please take a seat. The meeting will officially begin once the representatives from Dragon Island and Azure City arrive."

“Yes, Your Majesty. I am Allen, temporarily assuming the position of Pope.” Allen had no choice but to bow and sit down to Isaac’s right.

Yun Wei looked up in surprise, only then realizing that the Radiant Church should have been represented by Joshua, who was actually Dilis himself.

His questions kept piling up, but this was definitely not the time for idle chatter.

The meeting room fell silent again, with only ten minutes left before the meeting was scheduled to begin.

Everyone seemed to be secretly observing El Niño, wondering how a child of this age could be so calm, neither making a fuss nor crying.

Vivian seemed to have recognized the child and gave Yun Wei an inquiring look, to which Yun Wei silently nodded.

Just then, everyone heard a loud dragon roar coming from outside the window.

Before long, a waiter's announcement rang out, "Representatives from Dragon Island and Jade City have arrived—"

Before he could finish speaking, the conference room door was suddenly pushed open.

Even with his eyes closed, Yun Wei could guess that no one but Richard would dare to be so reckless in the palace.

He almost couldn't help but laugh, but out of the corner of his eye he noticed that Catherine's brows were furrowed.

He quickly tried to maintain his composure in front of the emperor, lest he lose his composure in front of the emperor.

However, he ultimately miscalculated.

"This smell...it's Yun Wei?! My God, little guy, you're still alive!!?" The space behind him trembled, and Richard teleported behind him even though it was only a few steps away.

Silver Dragon's long, slender arm reached over the back of the chair and hooked towards Yun Wei's neck.

But the knight beside the mage couldn't remain indifferent. He immediately stood up and stopped the silver dragon's agitated arm. "Hey! What are you doing?"

"Huh? What did I do? How dare you sit next to him?" Silver Dragon's face immediately darkened. "I had a feeling from the beginning that you must have let Yun Wei down. If my little one hadn't stopped me, I would have come over long ago!"

Upon hearing this, Isaac's face turned extremely ugly, but he had no way to defend himself and simply stood there stubbornly.

Yun Wei quickly stood up and tried to smooth things over, "Wait a minute, Richie, it's not like that. Actually, there was some misunderstanding, but we've already cleared it up."

Without even a second thought, it's clear that the letter he wrote earlier simply hasn't been sent yet!

Richard immediately said with exasperation, "Ha, in my opinion, you're spoiling him too much—Yun Wei, you can't spoil him like this!"

Suddenly realizing that this statement didn't quite match the image of a dragon he had been trying so hard to maintain in the outside world, Richard glanced at Yun Wei guiltily.

Seeing that the other person was blushing and looking down, not noticing the flaw in his words, he felt relieved.

So, Yinlong looked coolly at his wrist, where a stinky man was holding him tightly, making him unable to move at all.

It's obvious that in just six months, that jerk has become stronger again.

Isaac immediately let go, but wiped it on his dress with extreme disgust.

Just as the silver dragon was about to let the matter drop, it became angry again, "You're asking for it! You bastard—"

"Come on, let's settle this with our fists." Having been repeatedly provoked by his partner, Isaac's temper flared up, and he immediately puffed out his chest and charged forward.

The sound of teacups clinking together came from the room; it was Catherine making herself a cup of black tea.

Yun Wei, who knew the Empress's temper all too well, was extremely embarrassed at this moment.

He quickly stepped forward, separating the two men who were on the verge of conflict. "It's not like that. Issa loves me very much, and I love him very much too. And..."

"And?" His silver eyes flickered, clearly showing interest.

Fearing that Richard might say something even more shocking, Yun Wei forced a smile and said, "And..."

"We're already married!"

God knows how he managed to shout so loudly.

The conference room fell into a deathly silence, with faint echoes even emanating from it.

Yun Wei was already filled with shame and indignation, but the knight beside her pulled her into his arms without any regard for her feelings.

It's a gesture that declares sovereignty to the whole world.

"Tsk." Richard curled his lips, about to say something, when the human emperor, whom he was quite wary of, spoke up—

"Please take your seats, distinguished guests who have traveled from afar. The meeting will now begin."

Xie Mulang patted him on the shoulder, "Mr. Long, let's sit down."

But she quietly took his hand.

Richard habitually put on a shy expression, then suddenly put on a stern face.

He snorted heavily through his nose, but then gripped the swordsman's calloused hand tightly and obediently sat down in the last available seat.

Everyone had arrived, and the meeting officially began.

The host, Alexei Nepo, walked from the corner to the podium at the front of the hall, cleared his throat, and said, "Now, let's begin the first item on the agenda, where Grand Duke Yun Wei of the Ice Sparrow will introduce the known intelligence to everyone."
