"Jingchuan's son, have you taken some kind of poison? Why are you so angry?" Granny Yang's anger intensified. Not daring to vent her anger on Xiao Jingchuan, she could only take it out on Shen Yunsheng.
"Old lady, I advise you not to mess with me." Shen Yunsheng warned sharply. She would not be as weak as her father-in-law and listen to the old poisonous woman's arrangements.
"What did I do to offend you? You're just a nemesis of orphans, and you really think you're something special." Granny Yang pointed at Shen Yunsheng and cursed.
“Although my wife is an orphan, she has principles, unlike some people who, despite their age, still don’t accumulate good karma.” Xiao Jingchuan stood up and pulled his wife behind him.
"You...you all..." Granny Yang was so angry that she couldn't speak. She never expected that her usually quiet grandson would dare to talk to her like that.
"Grandma, our family just wants to live a peaceful life. If you continue to cause trouble, don't blame me for being impolite," Xiao Jingchuan warned sternly.
"Well, you've grown wings and dare to talk to me like that!" Granny Yang was furious and slammed the door shut as she left.
Shen Yunsheng watched Granny Yang's departing figure and sighed helplessly.
"Don't worry, with me here, she won't dare to bully you again." Xiao Jingchuan and his wife smiled at each other, their feelings for each other unspoken.
Granny Yang's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Although her second grandson had no feelings for her before, he still respected her. But now... he actually turned against her for a worthless piece of trash.
"Chuan'er, I'm doing this for your own good. If a grown man like you listens to his wife in everything, people will laugh at you for being spineless," Granny Yang said, looking at Xiao Jingchuan.
"Old lady, you're mistaken. Only incompetent men treat their wives like dirt," Xiao Jingchuan retorted coldly.
"You..." Granny Yang was so angry with Xiao Jingchuan that she couldn't speak.
She stared wide-eyed at her grandson, who had always been quite filial, in disbelief.
Shen Yunsheng looked coldly at Granny Yang, "Old lady, you don't need to worry about our affairs anymore. You'd be better off using your time to do some good for your second uncle."
Granny Yang glared angrily at Shen Yunsheng, but after a long while, she smiled and asked.
"Chuan'er, where's your father? I need to talk to him about something."
