Granny Tian and her son pulled Ma the Cripple aside to discuss their next move.
Shen Yunsheng felt something was amiss. Ma the Cripple had no connection with them whatsoever! Why would he help them out of a predicament? She couldn't help but wonder if there was some unspeakable secret involved.
"Husband, do you know Ma the Cripple?" Shen Yunsheng turned her head, her gaze fixed on her husband beside her, a hint of curiosity and confusion in her eyes. She really couldn't understand why a complete stranger would suddenly step forward to help them, and even act so calmly and composedly.
Seeing his wife's suspicion, Xiao Jingchuan casually lied, "I used to deal with him when I was out escorting goods. He's a man who's both righteous and wicked, and his temper is very strange. I don't know why he would help us."
007 chuckled and said, "Master, who cares what their purpose is? Anyway, this matter is in your favor. Granny Tian softened her tone, intentionally showing weakness.
Seeing that Shen Yunsheng remained silent, she pushed Meng Xin in front of him. "Xin, you should apologize to your brother-in-law. Even though you and Xuemei are divorced, he is still the uncle of your two daughters."
Granny Tian gave in, which surprised Shen Yunsheng. Her intuition told her that this matter was not so simple. As the saying goes, there must be something fishy about things that are not normal.
