Answers to Chapter 103

Zhao Moyan reached out his right hand, grabbed her sword, and plunged it into his own chest. Tian Yu stood there, stunned, watching the sword slowly pierce Zhao Moyan's chest, watching the blood flow from his hand. In terror, she released the sword, tears streaming down her face, and tried to rush forward, but Zhao Moyan stopped her. Tian Yu cried, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! Why didn't you move away!"

"Everything you've done during this time has been to help him?" Zhao Moyan asked, looking at Tian Yu.

Tian Yu hadn't expected things to turn out this way, but since it had already happened, nothing else mattered to her as long as Chen Chong was safe. With red eyes, Tian Yu stubbornly said, "Yes! It's all so that Brother Chen can leave here safely."

"Brother Chen!?" Zhao Moyan heard her call him Brother Chen so affectionately, but she only ever called him by his full name, Zhao Moyan, or "Lord Marquis"!

"Zhao Moyan, I'm sorry! I must make Brother Chen leave today!" Tian Yu said.

"So, from beginning to end, he's the only one in your heart!" Zhao Moyan said with a sneer.

Seeing Chen Chong on the verge of death, Tian Yu chose to remain silent and avoid looking into Zhao Moyan's eyes, because she was afraid she would regret it.

"Let them go!" Zhao Moyan shouted to Li Yong behind him, ignoring the blood still flowing from his chest wound.

Li Yong relayed Zhao Moyan's words, and the soldiers withdrew as ordered. Prince Wu watched everything from his horse without saying a word, which was considered a nod of tacit approval.

Tian Yu said to Gongye Ming, "Quickly take him away!"

Gongye Ming nodded and prepared to leave with his men, but Chen Chong grabbed Tian Yu's hand and said weakly, "Tian Yu, come with me!"

Tian Yu turned around and helped Chen Chong up. At this time, Chen Chong had multiple wounds and had lost too much blood, so he was already half unconscious. Tian Yu looked sadly at Chen Chong and then back at Zhao Moyan, who was still standing there straight. Without hesitation, she took out the pill that Li Yun had given her from her bosom and put it into Chen Chong's mouth. She said to him, "Go quickly! I'm sorry I can't leave with you. Live well."

"Won't Mr. Wen come out and meet us?" Prince Wu called out from afar.

The old man in the carriage got off gently and bowed to Prince Wu and Zhao Moyan, saying, "You two have spared this old man and young master today, and I will surely repay you in the future."

After speaking, he had the guards help Chen Chong into the carriage. Chen Chong was still holding Tian Yu's hand when he was pulled into the carriage by several people. Tian Yu was pulled forward a few steps. Chen Chong was reluctant to let go, but in the end he could not resist. He took one last look at Tian Yu with reluctance. Tian Yu waved to him and whispered that she should take care. Under Gongye Ming's escort, they left safely.

After they left, Prince Wu shouted to his soldiers, "The Marquis of Zhenbei was ambushed and seriously wounded, and the Prince of Chen broke through the encirclement despite being seriously injured."

He then led a portion of the team away, leaving only Li Yong and his soldiers. Tian Yu turned to look at Zhao Moyan, who was still standing upright, unsure how to end this situation. This was not the outcome she wanted. She had lied to Zhao Moyan so that they wouldn't run into each other, and that Chen Chong could leave before he arrived. But things hadn't gone as she had planned, and now she had even injured him.

Zhao Moyan looked at Tian Yu and said softly, "This is your answer." As he spoke, he raised his hand and pulled out the jade hairpin from his hair. Zhao Moyan felt the sound of his heart breaking. In the end, Tian Yu still chose Chen Chong. For Chen Chong, she was willing to abandon him and Tangyuan.

Tian Yu shook her head, only then noticing that Zhao Moyan had stuck the jade hairpin in his hair earlier that day. Zhao Moyan coughed up a mouthful of blood, the jade hairpin slipped from his hand and fell to the ground, breaking into two pieces. His body slowly collapsed. Tian Yu didn't have time to think and ran forward to catch him, but Zhao Moyan had already fainted.

Tian Yu sat on the ground, holding him, crying and shouting, "Zhao Moyan, wake up! Wake up! This isn't my answer! Wake up! I don't want this, please don't sleep, wake up!"

Li Yong rushed forward, knelt on the ground, and called out to Zhao Moyan. When there was no response, he said to Tian Yu, "Quickly take my brother back. Doctor Li has a way to save him."

Tian Yu wiped away her tears to calm herself down, picked up the broken jade hairpin from the ground and put it away. She unbuttoned Zhao Moyan's clothes, secretly used her inner garment to bandage the wound to stop the bleeding, mounted Zhao Moyan's horse, and had Li Yong help Zhao Moyan onto the horse. They then tied the two of them together with a rope.

Li Yong asked worriedly, "Can you ride a horse?"

"Yes!" Tian Yu said, pulling the reins tight and galloping towards the mountain town. During this time, she had found a master to teach her how to ride a horse.

Li Yong mounted his horse and quickly led the others to follow. Tian Yu galloped all the way back to Hongyuan, where she found Li Xingyun already waiting at the gate. Upon seeing Tian Yu, he smiled and said, "You can even ride a horse now!?"

Tian Yu glanced at him but didn't speak. With the help of Uncle Zhou and the servants, she carried Zhao Moyan back to the bedroom bed. At this time, Li Yong, who had gone to fetch Li Xingyun, also returned. Li Xingyun examined Zhao Moyan's injuries. After instructing the servants to prepare some hot water and towels and to keep Tangyuan from coming to the front yard, Tian Yu knelt anxiously in front of the bed, waiting. After Li Xingyun examined the wounds and took his pulse, Tian Yu asked nervously, "How is he?"

Li Xingyun frowned slightly and said, "The wound isn't deep, and it didn't damage any internal organs, so it's not a big problem."

Tian Yu sighed, and just as she relaxed, Li Xingyun said, "But the injury on your back is very serious!"

"Behind you!?" Tian Yu asked anxiously again.

"I was hit by a heavy object."

"A heavy object hit you!?" Tian Yu and Li Yong looked at Li Xingyun in surprise at the same time.

“I heard that the Misty Rain Pavilion was on fire, and some people rushed into the fire to look for people again and again. I guessed that someone must have been injured, and sure enough, I was right.” Li Xingyun said, looking at Tian Yu.

Tian Yu didn't believe what she heard, but Li Yong immediately said, "Yes! Before leaving the city, my elder brother knew that Yanyu Tower was on fire, so he didn't meet up with us and went to Yanyu Tower by himself."

Upon hearing this, Tian Yu's body went limp and she knelt on the ground, looking at Zhao Moyan who was unconscious on the bed, tears falling like broken beads.
