Chapter 149 Sulking (Part Two)

After arranging the glutinous rice balls, Tian Yu thought that more than half a month had passed and Zhao Moyan had not come to see them. She thought that perhaps she had really gone too far, and she should take the initiative to go and see him.

Early in the morning, Tian Yu prepared Zhao Moyan's favorite pastries and set off with Qiu Ju by carriage for the Marquis's residence. However, before the carriage even reached the gates, Tian Yu saw the princess's carriage already stopped in front of the mansion. The princess and Zhao Moyan were standing in front of the carriage talking. Tian Yu stopped the carriage and watched the two from a distance, unsure whether to approach them. Just as Tian Yu was hesitating, Zhao Moyan also saw her. He hadn't intended to pay attention to the princess, but upon seeing Tian Yu, he turned to her and said, "Princess, I have some free time today. How about we go for a stroll?"

“Great! Where does Brother Moyan want to go?” the princess said immediately, delighted.

"Let's go to Lihu Lake in the east of the city!" Zhao Moyan said to the princess with a smile, but his eyes were always on Tian Yu.

"Great! I heard the scenery there is beautiful, and there's a good restaurant there too. Let's go right now."

"Please, Your Highness!"

Tian Yu watched as Zhao Moyan helped the princess into the carriage and left.

After lowering the curtain and thinking for a moment, she asked the coachman to drive the carriage to the front of the Marquis's mansion. After getting out of the carriage and entering the mansion, the steward, Uncle Zhou, hurriedly ran over and said, "Madam, the Marquis has just left. Should I send someone to inform him?"

"No need! I'm just looking around, you go ahead and do your work!"

"Alright, Madam, please feel free to do as you please. If you need anything, just send someone to inform this old servant."

Tian Yu arrived at Zhao Moyan's room. Qiu Ju put down the food box and waited outside the door. Tian Yu walked around Zhao Moyan's room and came to the desk. She saw the Tang poems she had written for Tangyuan on the table. She flipped through the pages one by one, thinking how much Zhao Moyan liked these poems, that she had copied so many copies, each with a different handwriting. In fact, compared to Zhao Moyan, her own handwriting was really not good enough. Tian Yu shook her head with a smile and looked at the last picture on the table, which was a portrait. Although it was simple and neat, Tian Yu recognized it as her at a glance. She reached out and touched the dried ink. Tian Yu stared at the portrait for a long time before tidying up the things on the desk without moving them. She took something out of her sleeve and put it down before getting up and leaving the Marquis's residence.
