Chapter 171 A Terrible Idea

Tian Yu and her maid arrived at the princess's residence again, only to be stopped at the gate by the guards. Tian Yu hesitated outside for a long time, unable to think of a solution. Just then, Prince Wu and the Seventh Prince came to visit the princess, and Tian Yu was able to enter the residence with them. Seeing the princess, who had become so thin that she was unrecognizable, Tian Yu squatted down in front of the bed, not knowing how to speak. The Seventh Prince, however, cried sadly and said, "Sister, you can't leave me. You're my only sister. What will I do if you leave? Who will stay with me?"

"Little Seven, be good. Your elder sister is fine. She just needs to rest for a bit." She had barely finished speaking when she leaned weakly against the pillow, panting.

"Princess! Princess, you mustn't do anything rash!" Tian Yu was worried when she saw her like this; if things continued like this, the princess would eventually exhaust herself.

"I'm fine," the princess said weakly.

“Ling’er, you have to think more positively. This is how the royal family is.” Prince Wu said from outside.

"Yes! I've worried you, Your Majesty. It's all my fault for being useless."

"Princess! I've made up my mind. I will definitely help you and won't let you marry far away." Tian Yu had already forgotten Zhao Moyan's instructions.

"It's no use. It doesn't matter to me who I marry, Tian Yu, don't bother!"

"Don't you want to marry Li Xingyun anymore!?"

Tian Yu could tell that the princess was excited when she heard this, but she quickly lay down and shook her head.

"If you really don't want to, then fine! Anyway, I think my brother will never be wanted by anyone in this life. He finally met you, but you're about to die. It's hopeless. He'll just have to live out the rest of his life with guilt and longing for you." Tian Yu said sadly.

"How could he miss me?!" the princess said sadly.

Seeing that the princess was listening attentively, Tian Yu quickly explained, "How could that not be? Let me tell you, my brother is cold on the outside but warm on the inside. Don't be fooled by his appearance; he actually has feelings for you, he just doesn't realize it himself. You need to give him some time to adjust and get used to it. Once he understands, he'll be yours, and no one can take him away."

"Really? Are you telling the truth? He has feelings for me?" The princess suddenly perked up and, forcing herself to stand, looked at Tian Yu and asked.

"There definitely is, but if you give up now, you might forget about it in two or three months. You might even meet a soulmate or something, and then the princess would really have nothing left, and her life would have been in vain," Tian Yu continued to coax.

"Forget it, it's better this way. Even if he has feelings for me, we can't be together. Father will never agree." The princess sadly lay back on the cushion.

"My princess! Why are you so pessimistic! If you die like this, we'll have nothing left," Tian Yu said anxiously.

"Tian Yu, how dare you speak like that!" the Seventh Prince said angrily.

"Seventh Brother, I'm fine. You can go out for a while. I need to talk to Tian Yu."

"Royal sister! I'll stay outside. Call me if you need anything."

"Tian Yu, you're right. I just hope that if there's an afterlife, I won't be a princess anymore, but a woman from an ordinary family."

"An afterlife!? You haven't even figured out this life, so what about an afterlife? Even if there is an afterlife, the ending will be the same, and you still can't escape these things."

"What should we do? I don't know what to do either." The princess cried sadly.

Tian Yu glanced at Prince Wu, who was leisurely drinking tea in the hall. When Prince Wu saw the two of them looking at him, he said, "I think Tian Yu is right. If my royal sister were to die like this, she would have lived in vain."

Tian Yu squeezed the princess's hand and said, "Princess, guess fifteen! Your wonderful life has just begun! You can't let this make you so upset. Since you like my brother so much, go for it! Go for it! Even if you don't end up together, at least you tried and won't regret it. Don't leave yourself with any regrets!"

The princess nodded, and Prince Wu paused in his tea-drinking. Tian Yu continued to persuade him, "I've already thought of a solution for you, Princess. You should marry Zhao Moyan first."

"No! I can't marry him." The princess shook her head and said. Prince Wu was also stunned. He looked up and saw the person outside the door smiling again. Zhao Moyan, who had arrived at some unknown time, stopped in his tracks and stepped back outside to stand quietly.

"It's alright! Don't worry, this is just a temporary measure!" Tian Yu said.

"Then what are you going to do?! I don't want to marry him anymore!" the princess said.

"Princess, don't worry. This is just a fake marriage to appease your father. You can propose a divorce later when you have the chance, and then you will be free to be with the person you love," Tian Yu explained.

"That won't do either. The Marquis won't agree, and if Father finds out, we'll lose our heads," the princess said.

“He doesn’t know that you two are getting married. As long as I have no objections, who would dare to ask?” Tian Yu said.

"But I still think this is not appropriate."

“I don’t think it’s good. Do you have any other way to get out?”

"Not at the moment."

"What about our Marquis?!" Prince Wu asked mockingly, looking towards the door.

Tian Yu didn't see his expression and casually said, "Him!? We'll talk about that later. For now, do as I say!"

"Tian Yu, what about the Marquis?!" the princess reminded her again.

"Don't worry! I'll convince him."

"Who are you trying to convince!?"

A cold voice came from above. Hearing his tone, Tian Yu finally remembered what Zhao Moyan had said to her. Touching her still injured lips, she slowly stood up and said with a smile, "Lord Marquis!? You...when did you arrive?"

"just!"

"Well, I was worried about the princess, so I came to check on her."
